"Hi [Member Name Removed], We appreciate your business! We try to get our in house work turned around as quick as possible. It takes 7 to 10 business days to get the insulated glass fabricated and back to our shop. You should have been given an option of a "Rush" for your insulated glass which is a $45.00 charge but the turn around is cut to 3 days. I hope you use us in the future. Sincerely, Sherry Gilpin"

"Wow very surprised to find this on here. She called in for a "FREE" estimate to have her window looked at. The estimator taught her how to remove the sash from her windows so she could save money in the future. He was kind enough to bring her sash back to the shop to get fixed. I personally do the estimating and was out of the office on Friday, a vacation day well deserved. The estimates do not hit the office until the end of the day that they are measured so it hit our office about 5 on Thursday afternoon. (which we are officially already closed at this point) Miss [Member Name Removed] did leave a message on Saturday during closed business hours and called the office on Monday before anyone had a chance to call her back. We did give her a price to replace the glass in her sash and had it ready for her on Tuesday morning to pick up. That is good and quick service especially this time of year when the glass industry is very busy. I did not personally talk to her in regards to the pricing and the type of glass that needed to be installed but because it sets so close to the floor, by law, we have to replace it with safety glass. We did replace it with safety glass which has to be at least 1/8" thick. Not sure what the problem was that it would not lock properly because she told me that it fit into the sash it just would not latch. She did call the office and person she spoke with tried to explain to her that the safety glass is thicker and was willing to help her out but she demanded someone to come out "right this minute" which we could not provide. He asked her to hold because she was very upset with him and yelling. (no one deserves this, it sure was not the office person's fault). Regardless of all, I called her back and so did the owner of the company with no answer within 30 minutes of her call and complaint. She called me back later yesterday and I told her we would be out first thing in the morning to make sure this was taken care of. She was very nice and polite as I explained what the issue probably was regarding the thicker glass and what she had before. A service truck arrived at her house around 9 AM this morning and spent 45 minutes adjusting the sash so it would work properly in her window and still able to keep the safety glass that is required by law. First we gave a free estimate, saved her a trip from dropping her sash off at our shop and rushed it to be done so she could pick it up first thing Tuesday. She received a job worth $134.20 for $64.24 and does not realize what a deal she received. The installers have reported back today that the job is complete and her husband was happy with the free work performed. We had no clue at the shop that this was going to interfere with the locking of the sash. You would not know this until you try to install and operate the window. I am happy we took care of her regardless the fact it cost us money to serve her. You can't make everyone happy. I think she jumped on this a little too quickly to bash our name on Angie's List. We did not deserve this. Enough said. Sherry Doss, Gilpin Glass Service, INC."
"Thanks [Member Name Removed]! We appreciate your [Member Information Removed] and your positive response. Sherry"
"Hi [Member Name Removed], I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I do know you were placed on the last install of the day and it was pushed to the next day twice. I thought I kept in good contact with you in regards to installation. We are, along with the entire glass industry in the peak of the busy season. I think because we give free estimates we have been booked solid and have struggled keeping up with the high demand of estimates and replacement. If the quality of work was not good I would like to know that so it can be taken care of because that is not how we do business. We strive for good quality work. I do hope you took advantage of the 5% Angie's List Discount. If not please call me and we will refund your discount to you. Sincerely, Sherry Doss"
Would highly recommend them for any needed window glass repairs.
