The first person I spoke with was a sales person who was only concerned about selling. I paid for a service  that I thought I would have for a year, but it was only a one time deal. I feel as though I was mislead. Ever since dealing with them, you could see the performance of my computer was suffering with each use. At one point in time it took 90 minutes to open  my computer. While I was waiting for my computer to open up, I called Geek Squad, and I paid $200 for a full year service on cleaning up my computer and fixing its process. After they completed service, my computer was frozen.  It was still taking a long time to boot up after said service. I took my laptop into the store after calling and making an appointment. I showed up promptly for my appointment. The gentleman I spoke with kind of snapped at me and asked “Do you have an appointemtn!” and told me to go wait, even though I was on time for my appointment. Informed me that the people who fix the laptops remotely aren’t as qualified as the in store technicians. Informed me he would take a diagnostic but it would delete my entire hard drive and memory. I asked to speak to a supervisor and the person on the phone told me that I could speak to one within 72 hours. I went ahead and purchased a new laptop. The purchasing process was confusing as he kept speaking to me in technical terms. When he kept speaking to me in technical terms I reciprocated in German. He then asked me why I was speaking to him in a foreign language and I informed him because he was speaking to me in a language foreign to me. I bought the laptop, but I didn’t know if I made the right decision for me. Tried to contact Best Buy to set up an appointment and my calls kept getting dropped by the Geek Squad. I waited in line for 20 minutes, and then the person I spoke with told me I would have to wait since I didn’t have an appointment. I informed him that I needed services now. I informed them that I had tried calling several times to set up an appointment. Then we finally got the transaction completed. Yesterday one of the Geek Squad supervisors called me, and was very apologetic and refunded my money. I felt helpless dealing with them. The money refunded didn’t even begin to cover the amount of stress I was in. They now tell me that the brand new computer I just purchased might not work, or could have problems.

I WENT TO BEST BUY TO TRY AND GET SOME TELEVISION ISSUES RESOLVED.  THEY DIRECTED ME TO THE GEEK SQUAD COUNTER.  A PLEASANT YOUNG MAN TOOK NOTES ON WHAT I WANTED DONE.  I AGREED THAT THE GEEK SQUAD WOULD COME BETWEEN NOON AND FOUR.  HE CALLED AND SAID HE WAS MAKING A CALL AND WOULD BE AT THE HOUSE AROUND THREE BUT MOST LIKELY AROUND THREE THIRTY.  I LEFT MY HUSBAND TO BE AT HOME IN CASE HE GOT HERE A LITTLE EARLY. I MISSED THE REPAIRMAN SO THE LIST THE GEEK SQUAD HAD TAKEN WAS NOT FULFILLED.  WHAT THE GUY FIXED WAS SIMPLE AND WAS DONE IN TEN OR FIFTEEN MINUTES.  HE DID NOT SPECIFICALLY ASK MY HUSBAND ABOUT THE OTHER THINGS.  $169.00 IS A H*** OF A PRICE FOR WHAT HE DID SO ALL I AM SAYING IS BE THERE-HAVE HIM GO OVER THE LIST WITH YOU-I EVEN STRESSED THE APPLE TV HOOKUP--OTHERWISE YOU ARE PAYING MORE THAN A DOCTOR MAKES PER MINUTE.

We shopped around and thought we got a good deal. My husband and son actually bought it. The experience was fine and my husband didn't complain. The young man answered their questions. They were here when they said. We have bought most of our appliances and other things there.

I was very disappointed because they didn't fix it. The top half of the TV was black for a couple of weeks. They took a little while to come out. We had told them it was hoisted on the wall and had asked for 2 guys to come out. One older gentleman came so he couldn't take it off the wall. He basically asked us what was wrong with it. He went to order the parts for it and called us back later and said that the TV parts were no longer available. The TV is 5 years old. They said that they had changed the part for the newer TVs and they no longer made that part. We had already paid for them to come out to service it. Then my husband went online and found the part. I was very disappointed because they took a while to come out and then the guy was an hour late getting here. They didn't provide another guy like they said they were going to for helping him to actually look at the TV to diagnose the problem. I would just be aware of getting what you are paying for. The TV mysteriously started working, so we are fine. He misdiagnosed it. We almost put the TV away. If only he had taken it off the wall and looked at it. It apparently was a loose wire. We went through all this expense and almost got rid of the TV because he didn't take it off the wall and look at it. It was aggravating.

We needed to transfer data from our old laptop to a new laptop, which we thought would be a pretty simple procedure. We also purchased an external drive so that our big I-tunes library could be transferred to an external drive. We were told that the transfer would be done in 48 hours. Later that day, I received a call that the transfer was complete and we returned to the store to pick up the laptops. At the time that we picked up the computers, one of the Geek Squad team mentioned that they had transferred a lot of data, but that there was so much memory on the new computer that it should process very quickly. When we got home, we could not find that data had been transferred at all and the computer processed at glacial speed. We returned to the store the following day, and talked to another member of the Geek Squad, who spent some time searching on the new laptop to see if he could find the data. After several minutes, he did find that the data had been transferred, in one lump as a back up under one of the accounts on the new computer. We took the computer home and while we could access the files on the Geek Squad back up, we couldn't copy them to other accounts to use them. We were extremely annoyed at having spent money to transfer data when we could have done a better job ourselves. We were so frustrated by our inability to communicate clearly with members of the Geek Squad--who did not seem intent on making the experience a positive one--that we turned to another vendor (PC Help Solutions) to sort out the problem.

They company did not install the alarm system correctly. In fact, they didn't install it at all. The tweeter that was to notify us in case of an attempted break-in was not installed. It was to be mounted but wasn't. It melted during the use of the car.

Bad experience. Even though I never used the camera and I explained why I was returning it (product did not meet my expectations due to a short battery life) they charged a 15% restocking fee ($32). The store manager refused to waive the fee.

It went very well. Three different members of the squad have helped. Initially the network was set up, a much more complicated thing than I could ever have envisioned, then they have been back several times to add the printers and to problem solve. We could never have done the work ourselves.

I did a lot of research and visited the area stores to compare brands and prices. The salesman at Best Buy seemed very knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions and also tell me things I hadn't thought to ask about. The delivery wasn't the best, though. My husband watched in horror as the deliverymen banged the washer into the door frame, taking out a chunk of wood. They did haul away the old washer. A week later, I saw an ad for the same washer at a lower price. I took my receipt to the store, and they refunded the difference.

Purchased a new HP notebook. The sales person was very friendly and knowledgeable. This was my first notebook so he really helped me select the best computer for me. Price was great and I got my Best Buy reward zone points as well.

They have a knowledgeable sales staff that did not try to sell me a computer that I did not need. They asked what we would be using it for and showed us the best options. They did not push too hard on the extended warranty either, which was much appreciated.

IT TOOK A WEEK AND A HALF TO GET THEM TO COME OUT FOR THE INITIAL VISIT. NOW I'VE WAITED 3 WEEKS FOR PARTS, BECAUSE THEY ORDERED THE WRONG PARTS THE FIRST TIME AROUND. THEIR SYSTEM WON'T LET ME VERIFY IF THE PARTS HAVE EVEN BEEN ORDERED UNTIL TWO WEEKS LATER. I STILL HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL MAY 20TH TO FIND OUT IF THE PARTS WERE EVEN ORDERED AT ALL. IT HAS BEEN A BIG HASSLE, I'VE CALLED MANY TIMES AND DON'T SEEM TO BE GETTING ANYWHERE. IT HAS BEEN A VERY FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE AND I'M STILL WAITING ON PARTS.
