Fort Harrison Veterinarians

Dr Wheeler is wonderful. Our cats have been patients for over 10 years and it shows that he loves his furry patients. He is very knowledgeable and thorough and we would highly recommend him to anyone needing a wonderful Vet.

It went extremely well! We took our dog to Dr. Wheeler since I felt at least one of her back molars was bothering her. He checked and provided a prescription for antibiotics for an abscessed tooth to see if that helps it before we consider dental work. The ladies at the front desk provided an estimate of an extraction procedure for us as well. Her microchip was re-scanned, and blood was drawn for a heartworm panel for a new prescription of Advantage Multi. We were recommended Fort Harrison Veterinarians by my boyfriend's aunt since we're new to the area. I can honestly say I won't be taking my girl anywhere else!

Very well. Dr. Wheeler and his staff were wonderful —friendly and professional. Also reasonably priced.

I think they charged me somewhere between $40-45 a day. I do not worry about her at all. I would use them again for boarding.

I would give Dr.Wheeler A's for everything. Him and his staff are wonderful. I would use them in the future. They are very good. They treat her like it is her own pet. The vet does not let her leave until he has played for awhile to make sure everything is okay, and she doesn't hate him. Even boarded her once and when I was having surgery. They know she gets a little crazy being by herself. They will take her out and keep her upfront with the staff so she does not get lonely.

They are our regular vet. It went very well. They are always good. I like the staff. I like the small business nature and how they do things. They are great.

They were wonderful!  Dr. Wheeler hs been our vet for years and there's nobody better!  The office help is wonderful, too!

Fantastic experience. The office mangers were very polite and even played with my dog so I could fill out the required paper work. The vet was very good to my dog and diagnosed the issue quickly. He even checked on other questions I had. I will definitely go back.

It went very well. The cat is 14 years old and must be treated as such. Dr. treated her as if she was his family pet. He and his staff kept her on sight for the afternoon to be assured she recovered properly. We have been taking our pets to Ft. Harrison Veterinarians for the last 10 years and plan to continue to do so.

I found Dr. Wheeler and Fort Harrison Vets on Angie's List.  I needed to get a vet closer to our home.  I used the Angie's List coupon.  When I called for an appointment, I was able to get in the same week and a Saturday appointment.  There was no wait once we got there which is great with nervous dogs.  Dr. Wheeler and the staff were kind and calm.  They did not try to upsell any products or procedures and even gave us advice to not have a procedure done unless further problems occurred.  Dr. Wheeler gave good advice during the exam - we are happy to have Fort Harrison Vets as our new pet health care provider.

The Veterinarian was so wonderful with our cat.  She is usually very afraid of other people, but seemed very comfortable with him.  He spent a good deal of time with myself and the cat giving her a physical and answering all of my questions and more.  Did not seem rushed and was very nice.  We are new to the Indianapolis area so we use Angie's list to help us find different providers that we need.  Very Happy with this veterinarian and will be back!

We have used them for probably 5 years. The vets there are experienced, and they were forthcoming with everything. They tell you how it is, and don't try to sell you what you don't need.

Dr. Wheeler did a full exam and ran some tests to determine that he did have a bladder infection. Dr. Wheeler prescribed an antibiotic and a few changes to his diet to correct.  I love that I called and was able to get in the same day at a time that worked for a working professional.

Dr Todd Wheeler has 30+ years of experience and it shows.  He truly loves animals and he did all the work himself - drew blood needed himself and trimmed dogs nails. He does every part of the exam himself, taking temp, listening to their heart, talks to the dog, got on his knees to feed him a piece of cheese.  Wish I'd went to him 3 dogs ago! We love him, staff is knowledgeable, and friendly, very very helpful.

They're very good. They're some of the nicest people I've ever met. The doctor loves animals, he speaks very softly to them, he's very concerned and a overall nice guy who does a good job. He doesn't push and we don't believe  in spending more on a cat than we would on a human. Once the cat is not in pain we won't resort to any heroic measures. He would be very reasonable. I spent about $200 with him but he is very competent with all pets. I was last with him 6 months ago.

Dr. Wheeler got us right in, he’s a very nice man. The office is clean and the staff is excellent. They take appointments so you don’t have to wait. Dr. Wheeler takes time to get to know you and your animal. They give you individual attention, and call you the day ahead of your appointment to confirm. I found an injured bird that ran into a storefront window. Dr. Wheeler said I could bring him in and he would either help the bird or put it out of its misery. The bird ended up flying off when we got there, but they have a bird sanctuary and Dr. Wheeler has a wonderful heart for animals.

This Vet is someone who has a genuine gift for his line of work.  he is extremely professional & kind & relateable.  The quality of care you will get from this clinic is above & beyond!  I would never recommend anyone to go anywhere else.  The office staff is friendly & informative, they are well educated & clearly as passionate about the animals welfare as Dr. Wheeler is.  Please give them a try, you wont regret it!
