"We try our hardest to do a good job. We never promise a “perfect” job, yet we felt you were asking us to do just this. When mud is applied during taping, it leaves ‘lap marks’ (quite normal) You thought the mud was too thin. These are smoothed out as the skim coat is applied. You were convinced we were incorrect. I came out after it was skimmed. Upon examination you agreed it looked good. I assured you I'd return after priming for touch up. Using a small light you had in the basement, I touched up everything I saw; even paint runs from the primer. You called me that same night, and told me I'd missed all the joints. I didn’t understand you were using a halogen light on the wall, in addition to the can lights, which now had light bulbs. I did raise my voice from frustration. (I'd just returned from my mother's funeral) I called back to apologize, recognizing I was out of line. Upon inspection and additional lighting, you were correct. We addressed the issue. You found yet another. I explained this was due to framing. You informed me your framing was “perfect.” I cut out a section of drywall to show you. (I asked for a partial payment/You refused) We discovered your framing was not perfect. I cut out part of your stud, explaining the process. I was frustrated. It just seemed no matter what I did, it was never going to be enough. I fixed the issue and asked for the final payment. You stated your framing was “perfect” and I was not going to be paid. At this point, I walked out of the basement. It looked great except for needing a coat of paint. I was confident this job would never be “perfect” no matter how many trips or extra measures I'd taken to do the best job. And, as you stated, upon applying another coat of primer, the ‘defects’ were covered and no longer visible. We strive to do the best we can given any situation, but you refused to pay anything…even a partial payment. I'd made numerous trips, to address each concern. It was time for someone else to talk to you regarding payment moving forward."

"We are very happy that you are pleased with the work completed at your house. When you called to schedule, we were booked out about 4-6 weeks. Thank you for your patience in waiting, and glad it was worth the wait. Our workers are excellent, and in our peak busy season, customers do have to wait a bit to have work started."
