Envision Epoxy

Job went smoothly and results were excellent

Chris and his team did an excellent job! During the initial inspection and at each step of the process, Chris explained in detail the steps that they were doing. They were able to level/flatten the workshop floor using concrete grinding machines without the need for any additional floor leveling compound. (Before proceeding to the epoxy installation, Chris wanted to make sure that I was satisfied with the floor preparation.) While I'm used to using cyclone dust collection in my woodworking shop, Chris' dust collector (with HEPA filters) barely left any dust residue in my shop, even though four large bags of concrete dust were generated. He was extremely meticulous in the floor preparation and subsequent epoxy floor installation. The floor looks fantastic and I've received a number of compliments from fellow woodworkers! I've already scheduled him to do my garage floor in a few weeks.

Chris was very quick to respond to a request for a quote for some garage improvements. The primary part of the job was applying an epoxy paint to the floor, as well as a few drywall repairs and then painting the ceiling & walls of the garage. Chris & his team did a great job and our garage looks great. Would definitely recommend him for epoxy work!

We finally decided to spruce up the basement of our home which was built in 1944 and very little had been done to it since we bought the house in 1972 so it was  due.  An important part of the project was getting the concrete block walls painted and doing something to improve the looks of the floor which was starting to deteriorate in some areas. After talking to three different companies we decided to go with Chris Barger at Envision Epoxy and we are glad we did. He did a great job on both the walls and the floor but the floor epoxy coating is particularly impressive. We went with the somewhat more expensive full flake or "rejection" type of epoxy coating because we were able to get a good deal due to some excess supply of flakes that Chris had and we happened to like the color. This was fortunate for us because I think we are much more pleased with this type of coating than we would have been with just the usual minimum flake or no flake floor. I will attach some pictures below. 
We also appreciated that Chris was easy to work with and he was willing to do the job in two phases so that we could move all our "stuff" from one side of the basement to other. He did half the job and came back about a week later to do the other half after we moved our stuff to the other side.

It was fine.

- Every thing went well.  I had trouble deciding the color so Chris (the owner) was happy to came out twice.
- Doing the floor takes two days.
- From the time you decide you want to do your floor, until work is actually started, will be a few weeks.  Once you decide what you want, the materials have to be ordered and Chris has to schedule you.  For me from the time I first called Chris till the floor was done was a little over 3 weeks.
- Floor exceeded my expectations.  Looks great.  It looks so nice, I hate to park the car on it.

Chris has painted multiple rooms in my house and also at my other properties and he has always done a great job and for a great price I will continue to use him and would recommend him to anyone

We were very satisfied with them.  It looks 100% better.  He was on time and when there was a problem he called.   The price was competitive and reasonable.

I decided I wanted to apply an epoxy coating to my garage floor.  After doing some research, I figured out that I needed to rent an expensive grinder ($600 a day) to remove the sealant that the builder put on my floor before I could apply the epoxy.  While debating whether I wanted to go to the trouble of renting the grinder, I saw  CB Painting & Epoxy using the exact grinder I needed at a house in my neighborhood.  I stopped and talked to Chris, explaining that I was planning to do all the work on my garage myself but that I would be happy to pay him just to grind the surface if he was interested.  I didn't think he would be interested in taking on such a small piece of my job but to my surprise, he said he'd be happy to do it.  

When Chris got to my house, he did all the work I asked him to do but in the process, he also shared all kinds of tips and suggestions about how I could make sure I did the job right.  He, naturally, offered to do the work for me but he never pressured me to let him do it.  By the end of the time Chris spent at my house, I honestly wished I had just hired him from the start because he clearly had so much experience and knowledge in applying epoxy coatings that I knew he would do a great job.  I felt like I had done a lot of research and knew what I was doing but Chris gave me things to think about that had never even crossed my mind.  Had I not already purchased all of the materials for the project, I probably would've just hired Chris and been done with it.  In the end, I didn't, but based on the work he did do for me and the vast knowledge of epoxy coatings he demonstrated, I have no problem recommending him to other Angie's List members.

Three weeks later it began to bubble and peel. He came out and said he would fix it but after that he never contacted me. I called the paint store and they said they they would get back with me. I then called PPG/Porter paints and they said that he had improperly put the coating on and it's not their problem. He has since contacted me and he said that it isn't his problem.

Robbie was great! He was very responsive and he personally did the job. Everything he told me he backed up and more. Very happy with his work and would strongly recommend him.

It went well. Robbie, the owner, was on time, easy to reach, we needed the work done before a certain date and he was able to get the work done on time. After everything was completed, he cleaned up everything very nicely.

Robbie was always quick to respond to my calls and was very focused on making the best repair. He moved things out of the garage and back again so that I didn't have to lift a finger. The repairs they made are quite impressive and appear to have solved the problem. What impressed me most though was that Envision Epoxy and the manufacturer of this material really stand behind the product. They never once made an excuse or claimed that I must have done something wrong. For these reasons I'm nominating Envision Epoxy to the Page of Happiness.

I called and left a message on his answering service. Robbie returned my call within about 15 minutes. He met me at the new home site by appointment with a full booklet describing the process, pictures of other jobs before and after, and paint and chip samples. He measured and emailed me an estimate and proposal that evening. Although other firms offered lower and higher costs per square foot I decided to go with enVision Epoxy LLC because of the very pleasant meeting with Robbie. After contacting our builder Robbie was willing to do the work on a Fri. Sat. Sun. to minimize down time for the builder's other workers. He arrived promptly as scheduled and worked over the next three days. The finished job is outstanding. We used a chip/paint color combination he had not used before, and he was so pleased with the results he is including pictures of our job on his web site and in future proposals. Robbie is knowledgeable, professional, and a very pleasant person to work with. He did or supervised all of the work personally. I interviewed 6 contractors before going with Envision. I liked what I heard from them the best. Robbie was very professional and quick to respond to questions I had. He offered different application methods and gave the pros and cons of each along with the difference in price. They were not the cheapest quote I received but I do believe they give you the best job for the money. They came out each day when they said they would and were very willing to describe the work being performed every step of way. The repairs they made to the damaged surface area were beyond my expectations. The product they apply is very thick and should last for a long time - in fact they gave the longest warranty of any of the companies I spoke with. I've already had two people inquire about Envision after seeing my garage floor. That in itself speaks louder than most anything I could say.
