Emergent Construction are Top Notch Professionals! They kept everything on track and were great to work with. Their project manager, team of carpenters and office staff provided awesome service. Everything from start to finish was perfect! I would Highly recommend this company!

The finished product turned out well. However, the process getting there was abysmal and made the entire experience negative for us. From day 1, the project was immediately delayed by 1 week from the original start date, the project was scheduled to take 4 weeks and was completed in 7.5 weeks, and Supervision and Project Management were poor and several reworks were required. Emergent Construction uses sub-contractors who are very competent and turned out a quality product, however, the supervision of completed tasks was non-existent and when reworks were required, steps were skipped and resources were not re-allocated to properly complete. Communication was very poor between the supervisor & project manager and sub-contractors & "in-house" resources. Several excuses were provided during the entire project such as: we have had individuals quit recently, workers going home sick, and supervisor/project manager said that they don't get email notifications when 'Builder Trend' software is used. Lastly, I would say that we had greater expectations going into the project. We selected Emergent because of their fair estimate, having seen in-person their previous projects, and a local presence in the Meridian-Kessler Terrace area. The biggest issue we had, is that we didn't seem to get the same effort, attention-to-detail, or first-attempt quality that we saw in other projects. During the project, we saw no sense of urgency, priority, and complete lack of customer service. We would not recommend or use this company again

Emergent Construction was a pleasure to work with.  From the time we called for an estimate to the day we completed our project, every person we came in contact with was professional, friendly, and competant.  They helped us design a beautiful and modern kitchen while keeping the character and integrity of our 1930's Butler Tarkington home.  They were very patient and understanding as we changed our minds and needed to adjust the project a few times.  They also worked with us to complete our kitchen remodel on a very short timeline so we could move on our planned date.  After getting estimates from some other contractors in Indianapolis, we chose to go with Emergent for several reasons.  First off, their estimate seemed fair.  Other companies gave us the impression that it would be impossible to complete the project within our budget.  Emergent, on the other hand, helped us look for ways to cut costs or prioritize certain items over others to get the best bang for our buck. We loved that they weren't trying to sell us specific brands or products like some other companies we contacted.  They were easy to talk to and just made us feel comfortable from the start of our project (important to me since this was our first major remodeling project).  Communication with them was great with the Basecamp app and they were usually very punctual.  If  there was a delay (a rare occurance), they would always let us know promptly and rescheduled in a timely manner.  They were very meticulous about making certain every detail was finished to our satisfaction.  I plan to use Emergent again for my next project!

As first time renovators, we weren't sure what to expect.  Emergent's project manager and carpenter were able to provide great insights throughout the project - whether it was functional design or aesthetics.
As with most remodels, there were a few surprises [part of living in a house from the 1920's!].  In each case, Emergent presented us with multiple solutions and was able to keep the project on track.
From tear-out to punch-list, our project took about 8 week - would have been shorter if not for the cabinet lead times, which were ordered independent of Emergent.  All the employees and contractors on-site were professional.
Outside of one large change order we requested, our final cost matched the initial quote.
 In the end, we had our dream kitchen and would highly recommend using Emergent.

It went really well from start to finish! The emergent team was punctual, reliable and easy to work with. All of the details were discussed and communicated to the entire team.

Emergent was a joy to work with.  They made my vision a reality and maintained the historic charm of my 1885 craftsman bungalow.  I love my new bathroom.  The project took about a month. They were very respectful and cleaned up each night.  I don't think a remodel project could have gone much better!

The Emergent team did a full remodel of the kitchen in our 1926 house. The work included extensive demolition, widening a wall, replacing windows, flooring, etc...
They took our design and improved upon it as they implemented it into our dream kitchen. They also assisted us with choosing all of the finishes and finding suppliers for everything.

We were very unsatisfied. They hired a sub-contractor for parts of it and after the sub-contractors were here they came out here and were themselves very dissatisfied with the sub-contractors' work. They started out trying to fix it but then, all of a sudden, they seemed to lose interest and said it was the way it is. We had to work really hard to get them back out here to get things done. We had hired a painter that they've worked with and they told us through the whole process that they would work with the painter so that they would come in right behind them, but they didn't do that. So it was over a month before it was painted. There were a lot of broken commitments.

They were timely, polite, and clean. They told us what they would do before they did it. Their products and work had quality. It was what we were looking for. We are absolutely happy with their work.

Extremely happy. Quality craftsmanship. Friendly, trustworthy, dependable, detail oriented. We are using them again in a couple of weeks for a staircase remodel. Looking forward to it.

Great experience! They were timely, clean, and showed up when they said they were going to. I was made aware of any price adjustments - either up or down - throughout the entire process and knew well ahead of time. These guys are professional, affordable, and great!
