Elk Roofing was great to work with. They were responsive and punctual from the first appointment to the completion of the work.  They cleaned up the work area and neatly stored their equipment and supplies at the end of each work day. Some unexpected conditions were discovered and additional labor was needed, but the original quote remained unchanged. They were very knowledgeable and honest.

They were professional from start to end we had gotten a few other quotes over the year and they came in at the best value over the others. When we told them to go ahead with the work they move very quickly. The roof crew were very efficient and picked up everything after they were finished They had to work several days in the rain but they kept on going. It took a little longer than what they said we have a large roof and parts were hard to come by for the gutters and screens. They came up with a solution for a drainage problem with the gutters that we had before. We no longer have that problem. The skylights are much better than what we had before. Much more insulation in the lights and in the roof. The gutters and screens look great too. We could not be happier with the final product and would recommend them to anyone.

The guys were polite and neat.  They encountered a honey bee hive in one of the 2nd floor eaves which stopped work.  Dusty contacted bee keepers for consults to confirm honeybees and once we settled on a gentleman to remove the hive, Dusty met him  at 7pm to assist with the removal by clearing the innards of the eave further.  Dusty was delayed because he had to rebuild the eave inside and did the work himself.  Dusty also had trouble getting an estimate for copper gutters from another company and in order not to slow down that part of the job recommended a direct competitor to ask for a bid. 
 I think that small business owners in the trades have many constraints.  Lack of an office staff for calls, small crews and a perhaps only a handful of trusted employees given the seasonality of the work.   We felt Dusty was very available and responsive and think his craftsmanship and respect for our 1924 house offered us a high quality roof that will last for many years.  

I ended up not using them due to the roof not needing repairs at this time.  They were punctual, knowledgable, and professional.  I would use their services as needed in the future.

We received four bids on this project and ultimately chose Elk Roofing because of a strong recommendation from a friend and a reasonably priced bid from Elk. Dusty was very responsive to our questions about the roofing project, and he met competitors' 10-year warranty on the roof. The Elk roofing crew arrived on time, were polite and neat, and protected the plants/shrubs around our house as they removed and replaced the roof. Our new roof looks fantastic!

They came and to care of the problem. It happened again and they came and fixed it. After that when it happened I called them multiple times but they did not respond. I still have a leaking roof. They did not complete the deal. I would not recommend them to anyone. I would not use them in the future.

They were good.  They were timely and professional.  I will use them in the future.

Total roof tear off and replacement.  10,000 sf. home.  Done quickly, done well.  They cleaned up each night, including running a roller magnet to pick up any stray nails.  They came back a year later to add chimney caps at no cost. 

They were really good.  I spent $300 to $400 on their last visit.  They are very reasonable and I like them.  They were conservative and if they can save me money, they will or tell me what to do.  They were very responsive.  I also used them 2 years ago on my old house. 

For some time we have had leakage inside the house under the flat roof, despite the fact that the entire roof had been replaced about 5 years ago.  Following the ice storm in February and heavy rain in early March, we were placing buckets inside to catch water leaking into the house.  After researching roofers in our area on Angie's List, I called Elk Roofing to give us an estimate on repairing the roof.  I left a voicemail, and Dusty returned later the same day.  An appointment was scheduled for them to come to the house to assess the problem.  Jeff Miller arrived as scheduled.  He evaluated the situation, both inside and on the roof and took pictures of the problem areas.  Jeff was very patient in answering all of our questions and spent quite a bit of time with us.  We received a proposal from Jeff within a couple of days.  Elk Roofing's estimate was reasonable and consistent with the proposal of another roofer.  We decided to go with Elk Roofing for the project.  Elk Roofing started the project a few days after we accepted their proposal.  It took longer than expected to complete due to some rainy days.  Once Jeff started the project, he discovered quite a bit of mold on the underside of the decking as well as wet insultation.  Jeff contacted me at work with the news and we agreed to replace the entire decking and pull out the damaged insulation.  In addition to the flat roof, Jeff re-flashed a dormer window that was leaking due to poor workmanship from the previous roofer.  Elk Roofing completed the job, and our roof is no longer leaking despite heavy rains we have had the past month.  Jeff was wonderful to work with.  We felt he was very knowledgeable and honest.  We trusted him when he identified the problems that weren't visible when he initially assessed the problem and suggested solutions/additional work that needed to be done.  We also appreciated the fact that Elk Roofing does not sub-contract any of their work.  The next time we need a roofer, Elk Roofing will be the only company we'll call.  We wouldn't hesitate to refer Elk Roofing to family and friends.  In fact, we have already done so.

The job went pretty well. We had a leak the day after the put the roof on, but they came back very promptly and took care of it. I thought that they did a good job. Their price seemed competitive.

They did a very good job. I spent $2000 on the job. They provided the service, which I contracted with them to do. They did it very quickly. They cleaned up well and repaired an area of the roof near the gutter that needed to be repaired. Their price was very reasonable. I would use them again in the future.

They were prompt in scheduling a site visit to prepare the estimate, showed up exactly on time and emailed the estimate that day. Once we decided to make the repair they were also prompt in scheduling. The repair was made on a rental property and they were accommodation in our need to notify tenants in advance of the work being done. Due to weather conditions I have not seen the work but the leak problem seems to have been resolved.

This was the third time in 32 years I have used Elk Roofing. They have re-roofed three different homes for us. I always found them to be 10-20% less than the other companies quoting the same job. They also always did a great job.

While they were slow to respond to our request for service due to a family death, Jim Farmer did the work for Elk and the work was excellent! Jim is open and friendly and his work was fully professional and outstanding! They did no damage to shrubs or plants and left things very clean.

Elk Roofing completed the work in a few days and it was performed as promised!

They were pretty good and professional, showed up on time and cleaned up after themselves. They did a good job. They weren?t in a rush, and they took their time. The quality of their work seems to be great. They fixed the problem - it is not leaking anymore. I?m not all that familiar with roofing. It was cheaper than having the whole roof replaced. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

Dusty & Crew re-roofed my house in about a week's time. I've roofed before and was ready to look for and find any flaws in the work. The only things I found were minor cosmetic issues, and they were fixed very quickly by Dusty during a final walkthrough. They cleaned up pretty well each night before they left.
