Poor installation job when you can see daylight from your attic and the owner of this roofing company is very sarcastic and tells you thats the way it is. He says that can be fixed but it'll cost you more money. Still to this day you can still see some daylight up there and the roof leaks!
This company also contracted out to have our gutters replaced. They took down gutters and didn't put up the new gutters for 3 or 4 days and during that time we had the heaviest rains of the year! What a mess!

I felt they did a very good job on the roof. In addition, the cost was about $700 less than the other quotes. The work was done during extreme heat but they seemed to take their time and do the job properly. The only problem was that they damaged one gutter during the process. However, I had no problem with them replacing it. They attempted to repair it first. When I told them it was less than a year old and would have to be replaced, they had a gutter company come out immediately to replace it.

They were very nice. They came out and fixed the problem in the roof. But, the next time it rained we still had the problem, so, they came out immediately and fixed it again. They were very easy to work with.

I THOUGHT THE PRICE WAS AVERAGE OR FAIR, THEY WERE REASONABLE ON THAT. WORKMANSHIP WAS GOOD, BUT THE COMMUNICATION WAS VERY POOR. I HAD TO KEEP AFTER THEM TO GET ANYTHING DONE. THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY WERE GOING TO COME OUT ON ONE DAY AND THEY NEVER SHOWED UP. THE $8, 834.15 IS AFTER THE $250.00 ANGIE'S LIST DISCOUNT.

Not a good experience. Were pressured to select single color and then shingles were delivered to our driveway. The next day, we had the shingles in our driveway for over 2 weeks. They said they installed ridge vents & did not. They said they cleaned up & did not. We had an independent inspector check the roof. They had been in business locally for many years, and on Angie's List. They did a rushed, incomplete job. They would not return calls or emails/letters. Say they will do things they never do. Put new roof on in the rain, below 40 degrees, and in the dark. They told us they had installed ridge vents, when they had never been installed. Do not use this contractor. Very difficult to work with. Not trustworthy. Hire experienced roofer than can communicate with customers. Should be truthful with customers & respond to customers calls & letters.

The people who did the work were great. The issue was with trying to get a hold of the owner to fix some loose shingles. Everytime I called them I would get the runaround, so I had to call another company to do the repair.

The work itself is fine, but the contract says I would not be responsible for any cost above my deductible and that my insurance company would cover the rest. The total cost ended up being more than their initial estimate and they are saying they can't get in touch with my insurance company, though I have been able to a few times. They are telling me I need to pay the difference despite what it says in the contract and they have threatened to put a lien on my house. They need to honor what it says in the contract. The original estimate $6,900 and now they want me to pay the difference between that and the total cost of $7,811.

The work looks fine. I got my final bill for the gutters a week ago and today in the mail I have letter which states they have put a lien on my house. After contacting the company, the man said they were behind in their billing and so they sent the letters out. I am getting ready to move will not be able to sell it with a lien on the home.

Here are some things that went wrong: 1. Instead of tearing off only what as they could re-roof in 1 day they tore off the entire roof, leaving the roof exposed to the rain with only felt covering it that night, they didnt have tarps to cover the roof, and took a day to get back with tarps. 2. They sent the wrong shingles the first day and didnt get the right ones until the next day. 3. They did major damage to our gutters (2 torn free from house, several more badly dented) and broke the sprinkler system rain gauge with dropped felt rolls and shingle bundles. 4. After the job was "done" we could see damaged shingles from the ground. We took 3 independent professional inspections and over 3 more weeks work after the first 4 days re-roof to redo large parts (about 300 sq. ft. the first redo and another 1000 sq. ft. the 2nd redo). 5. They mislead us about the extent of the damage in their own inspection. We had 2 neighbors who used them too at the same time and had similar experiences.

Started out great. Representative very professional. Responsive to all questions. Roof replacement went very smooth with no post-replacement problems. Originally signed contract to have roof, siding and gutters replaced following hail storm. Contractor did not perform well in working with my insurance company. Insurance company delayed releasing repair funds for work completed due to inadequate paperwork from Elite. This is when Elite cut-off all communications with me regarding completion of siding and gutter work. Repeated calls were not returned. The only call that I received was from the main office asking when I was going to pay for the roof replacement. I had to fax in to my insurance company what little paperwork that I had from Elite to get claim funds released. Paid for the roof replacement. Still have not received any communications from Elite.
