Holmes Roofing came out to do my roof. He was there for each step from doing the estimate himself to overseeing the progress of my roof, and was there to help with the cleanup himself. He was very personable and easy to get along with and his crew was very polite. My entire roof was done in just one day. I would recommend Holmes Roofing to anyone.

We had such an amazing experience with getting our new roof and gutters from Edwin Holmes Roofing! Every aspect of this process has been handled extremely well with the most professionalism I have seen from a construction company. From the first phone call to Ed (the owner) to the last piece of scrap/trash that was cleaned up after our work was done was top notch! We called to get an estimate, which I thought we would have to make an appointment for, and Ed was willing to come out and give us an estimate right away. He also helped us tremendously with dealing with our insurance company! It really helps to have a knowledgeable contractor helping with the ins and outs of insurance claims. After Ed helped us pick out the perfect color for our shingles and gutters, the roof was installed right away. I was worried about the noise and disruption a new roof installation would cause, but Ed's crew was very fast, efficient and installed the roof in no time! His employees were respectful of our home and our landscaping (I've heard horror stories about contractors tearing up flower beds, gardens, bushes, etc) and that was a relief to know they were aware of this. They were very careful to pick up all the materials from their work area and you would have never known our whole roof was torn off just hours earlier. I have seen many of Ed's signs around town and now I know why homeowners proudly display this contractor's sign. Getting a roof is a big investment and I can not say enough about my wonderful experience with Mr. Holmes and his whole staff. Edwin Holmes and his crew did a fantastic job. From the time of the estimate they were quick and courteous, finished the job quickly, and it looks great, and the price was reasonable. Edwin Holmes and his crew are Fast, Professional, and Most Affordable in Indianapolis Area. The price (for the exact same shingles) was better than any of the other legitimate roofers here in town. But most importantly--the roof looks great! I've talked to several other people who have used Edwin Holmes Roofing and everyone has had only positive things to say. If you don't want to have to worry about a thing call these guys. By far best price, best service, and best quality out there. We had a contractor come out a couple years ago and our claim was denied. We decided to have Holmes check it out and they took care of everything. They met with the adjuster, handled all phone calls and questions. They did a great job making us feel comfortable with the whole process. We were worried about being taken advantage of but Holmes walked us through everything and made it very easy. Do you need a job done fast? These guys are for you. Our roof was done in a day and they left nothing behind. I cannot say enough about these guys. Best of the best.

Working with Holmes Roofing was a fantastic experience. Ed Holmes personally inspected my roof, gutters, garage door, and downspouts. He also came to my house while I called my insurance company to help relay the damage and concerns we had about our roof. Each time an insurance rep was sent out to my house he came over and spoke with them on my behalf so I didn't even have to be here for it which was very convenient. Insurance covered all the costs with no problem thanks to Ed and his partner. The roofing supplies were delivered and work was started very quickly. All the workers were on time, professional, polite, and did a great job. All the work was completed quickly. Once the job was done they cleaned my yard and driveway. My driveway was also power washed personally by Ed Holmes, the owner of the company. He also got on my roof after the job was comPlete and inspected the roof himself. I was contacted by Ed numerous times to make sure I was happy with cleanup and work completed. I appreciate all the work and professional courtesy given to me by Ed and his entire team. I would recommend Holmes Roofing to anyone needing roof work done.

They went above and beyond. I was really impressed with their work ethic. The workers themselves were very nice, and make sure my dog didn't get out of the yard. They were very conciencious and outstanding. I also didn't have to clean up after the workers. They were very clean. I would recommend them to anybody anytime!

I contacted Holmes roofing on Wednesday to arrange for an estimate. The operator indicated Ed Holmes would contact me later in the day to set up a time for him to come out. I missed Ed's call and we connected on Thursday morning. We discussed the project and he gave me what I considered a fair price to complete the work. He told me they would be at my home to complete the work the same day, between 4:00 and 8:00 PM. They called at 7:00 PM and arrived at 7:30 PM. Ed's roofers were knowledgeable and efficient at locating and installing the roof vents. Ed joined in the effort and personally climbed into the attic to assist with locating one of the vents. This was no easy task as the roof lines made it necessary for him to crawl through narrow tight spaces on a warm and muggy evening. I think the entire effort took no more than an hour to complete. I appreciated their promptness in addressing my vent problems. Ed did point out some hail damage and I'm sure we will contact him in the future when we're ready to replace the current roof.

They arrived on time, did the work requested and left.

I called Ed after seeing his sign in my neighbor's yard and seeing him on the news. I had another estimate done previously, but went with Holmes Roofing because of their experience and professionalism. Customer service was fantastic! An estimate was done right away and they came back to meet with my insurance agent three weeks later. He discussed all details of the work that would be done with me and answered all questions. Work was scheduled and done the following day! Ed came out with the crew and checked on work frequently during the day. Great company...I highly recommend them!

Initial contact: Salesman very prompt. Answered all our questions and gave us a quote on shingles we specified. We also talked to two other roofing contractors and got their quotes and did not settle on the lowest because we wanted someone in our community that has been in business for years and does good work. We set date to install. Date of tear off and install: Ed Holmes, owner, arrived with his crew early in the morning. Explained in detail what his crew would do and answered all our questions. Crew was very professional and took extra measures to clean up after themselves; used drop cloths all around the house during tear off and after picking up all debris and then going around several times with large sweeping magnet to pick up any stray nails. Mr Holmes personally got up on the roof several times during the day to check the work and progress. My husband also checked the roof after they were finished and was very pleased with the workmanship. Would highly recommend them.

Edwin Holmes Roofing did a great job on our home. They came promptly when I called about an estimate for a roof replacement. They were very reasonable priced. They also were very helpful in helping choose a new shingle color to match the siding and trim on our home. I absolutely recommend this company!!!! The workers were efficient and obviously experienced. The owner was personable and knowledgeable. So glad I found them on Angie's List and I also had a friend recommend them. I absolutely plan on calling them in the future and will gladly recommend them to my friends and family!

Mr. Holmes came to our house himself and was the first of all contractors to contact us after the storm came through out neighborhood. He did not hound us after he gave us the quote and waited patiently while we considered several other providers. We decided to move forward with the Holmes Roofing option for several reasons: First, his excellent standing with Angie's List users. We don't make contractor decisons everyday and we needed to get a roofing company we could rely on. Holmes had roofed many homes in our neighborhood and the Angies List responses were very impressive. Secondly, we needed a price in line with the insurance company's estimate. Holmes Roofing was more than reasonable. Third, we wanted the project to be done and overwith quickly. Edwin committed to having the work done in a couple days, and it was. Ultimately, the work was done quickly and efficiently. The crew was polite and they cleaned up afterward very well. The roof looks great. The pleasant surprise in working with Edwin was just how helpful he was. He not only helped us with the roof, but helped us in making other decisions about home improvements, that didn't necessarily involve him or his company. We apprciated his years of experience. We are very pleased with the work and the relationship we were able to develop with Mr. Holmes and his company.

On April 17, 2013 at about 6:00 pm. we experienced a hail storm at our home. The hail fell for 20 to 25 minutes continuously. Our home suffered significant damage. This was a large storm and every one of our neighbors was affected. We knew the fly by night contractors would descend on our neighborhood soon. We were not concerned about finding a reputable roof contractor we could count on to fix our roof and restore it to new. We had been through this before with a hail storm in 2006. In 2006 we called Ed Holmes. His company replaced our roof then and we knew who we would call. At 7:00 pm we called Ed Holmes on his cellphone. He said "I am close by and will be there in 15 minutes." Ed arrived in 10 minutes. He immediately got on our roof and repaired the shingles that were dislodged to prevent any leaks. He carefully evaluated the needed repairs, gave me an estimate and explained it in detail. Ed will walk you through what is damaged and what is needed to correct it. I got a few more estimates. Some were a little cheaper but always included cheaper, inferior materials. I could not afford to put cheap shingles on my roof. The roof is the most important component of your house. I won't cut corners to save a few bucks. Ed scheduled the job for a monday morning. The roofing materials were delivered to our house on a saturday afternoon. Ed and his crew arrived promptly at 6:30 am and began working immediately. The crew worked continuously until late monday evening. The following morning the crew arrived again at dawn. They worked all day until the job was finished. I used Ed Holmes because I knew he would do the job right and stand behind his work. He will be here if I need him again. Our new roof and gutters look great.

I had a section of my roof blow off on a Wednesday night, I called Edwin Holmes Roofing and left a message. They called me back and came out Thursday to inspect the damage and gave me a estimate. Mr. Holmes was very helpful and professional and told me he would start Friday morning since I had roof damage. They showed up on time and completed the job in one day. They did a great job of cleaning up the mess, no nails or paper left in the yard. I would recommend Holmes roofing to anyone in need of a new roof.

After noticing some leaking in the interior of the home after rain, I had my insurance company send out an adjuster to look at my roof. Their initial estimate was that there was hail damage but only on 25% of the room. After several rounds of coordinating, Mr. Holmes was able to come out and take a look at my roof. We had the insurance adjuster also come for a second estimate and Mr. Holmes was able to get the entire roof replaced under my policy. Once the job was scheduled, the roof was able to be completely replaced in two days of work by Mr. Holmes' team. Originally estimated to be done in just one day, complications arose once the tear off began as there was more water damage to the roof than originally anticipated. The crew that did the work was great, they arrived on time both days and were very courteous. I was home during the construction for the entire time while the crew was on site. I only saw Mr. Holmes on the job site once, but we remained in regular contact via phone during the job. Once the job was completed, the invoice and bill did not match the original estimate. This was due to the extra damage that was discovered once construction began. I anticipated these extra charges. The invoicing and billing process was a little lacking in professionalism as I received photos via text message of my final invoice. After emailing back and forth to receive a final invoice I finally got one that I sent to my insurance company to send a check for the remaining payment owed. Mr. Holmes did take the extra steps to send the paperwork on to my mortgage company so they could endorse the insurance check so that was helpful. To this date I still have not received a receipt of final payment from the company. However, the check was cashed and I have not heard from the company since my last payment was made so I am assuming the bill has been settled to the satisfaction of both parties.

Ed actually did my roof 8 years ago. I was so pleased I had him come out again. I really appreciate his personal interaction with me. I don't know any other company that has the owner working on the job. Ed was there when his crew replaced the roof an then personally came back and fixed my basement windows. While he was here he went ahead and fixed my porch railings and painted them for free. This took him hours to do. I am an 87 year old widower so Ed"s personal touch, attention to other much needed repairs and help with other issues really touched my heart.

The whole process was very smooth. Ed was punctual with giving us a quote and the crew was there when he said they would be there. The roof looks fantastic. Great service all the way through!

Over ten years ago, Edwin Holmes Roofing replaced our roof and gutters. We appreciated the price he was able to give us at the time, and how quickly the crew was able to complete the work for us too. What I want to share most about Ed Holmes is that years after our roof was replaced, we had a leak from our son's bedroom ceiling, and obviously thought it might be a result of some sort of damage to our roof. Ed Holmes did an inspection of the roof, in the attic and the ceiling itself for us. He found that it was just the result of a branch and leaves that had clogged the gutter at that corner of the house...there wasn't anything wrong with the roof or the gutters...just a "backed up" gutter. He removed the debris and made sure there wasn't any permanent damage. Since that was all there was to it, he didn't even try to charge us! That was that! I can't express how much I appreciated that he did that. It wasn't his responsibility to clean out that gutter. But since he was up there, he just did it...over and beyond! We've never had to call him back to do repairs again. I know that if we ever have any problems or when it's time to replace our roof again, Edwin Holmes is the man to call!

After receiving my claim from State Farm (Finally!), Ed and his crew were out here replacing my roof, It was done in one day. Great crew, cleaned up very well after the roof was completed, not even one nail or a piece of shingle laying around...The roof looks great.Thanks!!!!!!
