Keith installed my last fence 15 years ago, we have a new home and I had him back to do this fence as well.  They installed a custom cedar fence and even more custom pergola style privacy walls. I am a picky guy who likes things my way and they were very accommodating, even with work order changes during the job.

I have had tons of complements on the fence.  But even better, I enjoy my back yard now.

Thanks a ton Keith!

Everything went very smoothly.  I talked with Keith once at the beginning of the project and within a week I had posts up and then within the next week I had a completed fence.  They were very neat about completing the work; ie didn't leave a bunch of nails in the yard, dirt in the driveway/street, etc.

After getting a fairly priced estimate, and a recommendation for this company from our neighbor who used them, we decided to go with Edwards Fence.  The owner, Keith, told us the time frame for tear-out and install would be 3-4 days. On April 26, they began tear out, and 13 days later... still no fence. Tear out has been extremely slow (only 1 or 2 guys show up for a couple hours, if at all, on any given day), and the post installation has taken even longer. They're digging the post holes by hand, with only 2 guys.  While pulling some weeds out of the old ("removed") fence line, I discovered that the crew had actually CUT OFF some of the metal poles and left them in the ground. Am I to assume that leaving a sharp piece of metal sticking out of the ground is standard protocol? When I mentioned it to the crew, the said they would be happy to "hammer it into the ground further," but pulling it out of the ground was simply "a lot of work." (!!!) Now I'm also noticing that the posts are not even installed at consistent heights around our yard. It will be interesting to see how they plan to hang 6' panels on posts that are barely 6' tall, and that should also be topped with post caps. So last week my husband and I each called Keith, and left at least 6 voice mails over a period of three days - not ONE return call, despite our obvious concern over the progress and quality of this project.  With still no return calls from Keith, today the 2-man crew showed up to start hanging fence panels. But then they realized that the generator they had to support air compressor (I assume, to operate a nail gun), was not powerful enough to power the air compressor. So they left. This, after knowing last week that the electrical outlets outside my house cannot support their air compressor. I'll be shocked if they make another appearance to hang panels today. To say that this company is incompetent in customer service is an understatement. I would not recommend them to anyone!

I described the layout to Keith on the phone including connecting up to neighbor's fence on onw side, the corners, and gates. Keith gave me a price right then which was the better than the two other prices I had. I didn't find any reports on Angie's List, but they did the neighbor's fence about 5 years prior and it looked good, so I had them book the installation. Keith was right on time to do the field measurements and to discuss gate placement. The crew arrived on the start date which was a Tuesday, and installed the posts and dropped off materials the next day. The assembly was completed on the following Saturday. James and his helper did a good job on completing the installation. I recommend them completely and they had an excellent price.

WE GOT AN ESTIMATE IN MARCH. THEY WERE TO SUPPOSED TO START THE WORK IN MARCH. THEY SET THE POSTS THEN, BUT DIDN'T COMPLETE THE WORK UNTIL JUST BEFORE MEMORIAL DAY. WHEN THEY FINALLY CAME OUT IT ONLY TOOK ABOUT A DAY WITH TWO WORKERS.
