Economy Fence

Zelle'ed money to Jim Brown who works with a network of scammers to trick people into sending money via FB marketplace. I called him at the number used for Zelle and he confirmed receiving money. This was for a RC plane for $200. I have all chat details on this scam. Beware as he is a fraud and scammer.

Set up appt for estimate. Called me when he was going to be 5 min late. I see that as a positive. Agreed to work and projected three weeks out. Sent deposit. No response after three weeks and checked in with office. Left message. Called back and scheduled for following week. This is when heat index several days over 100. Showed the following week and completed in one day. Since this was not an emergency and I am retired, I was ok with the loosness and not getting back with me. Quality good. They had to deal with neighbors ton of river rock on the fenceline, which was hard to do. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would use again.

It went very well. They were good about following up and we thought they did a very thorough professional job. We are very happy with it. We've used their services several times over the years.

They were okay. They did a fence before. They did okay. My fence fell down in a storm, and they had to put up three more fences. On the price, I guess it was okay.

It was fine. It did cost more than the big deal price. It might have been another $225 or something like that. They were okay. It took them a while to come back and finish what I needed them to do. They got some of it done. I needed them to come back and that took quite a while to come back. They weren't too responsive. They were really busy this summer and I didn't care if they didn't get back to me for weeks and weeks. They really weren't very responsive. I wasn't there when they showed up.

Replaced six boards and aligned gate.

Good job, didn't fix sagging gates so much as trimmed excess wood to make them open functionally.  This was acceptable to us for the price of the deal.

Overall, it went well.  I had my whole backyard fenced in which included 3 single gate openings.  The owner's father took the yard measurements and was quiet but friendly.  When the 3 man crew arrived, they began doing the job without hesitation.  The leader of the group used some profanity out in the open which is never professional.  He was trying to correct something one of the other two wasn't doing right, but this is a big turn-off for me.  Even one of the workers made a comment about how this makes their company look bad.  I overlooked it, but in hindsight should have said something. 

I think they did a good job overall, but I did inspect the fence more closely after the job was finished and did see some minor details left for me to do.  For example: ties holding the fence to the top running bars left untightened. Some pieces of hardware were spray painted, I guess because they were silver and not black.  The painting could have been done a little less messy and without painting over grass that was attached to the hardware.  Some of the bottom edges of the fence were not intertwined and fastened as they should have been, and again, I took care of this myself. They also hit an underground sprinkler head that would have cost me $110, but I did the repair myself.  When they did hit it, it was like, "Well, at least we only hit one", instead of apologizing.

About a week after the fence was up, my neighbor ran his riding mower too close to my fence, catching it and pulling it way out of shape.  That's another story about my neighbor, but brought it up for my last comment with Economy Fence.  I called Economy Fence to ask them if they had any suggestions on how to fix the stretched-out fence.  I wasn't wanting anything from them but maybe some suggestions to remedy the problem.  Unfortunately, they never returned my phone call.  I repaired it the best I could.

Showed up on time and did exactly what we paid to have done.

Jim was prompt in returning phone calls, they were delayed a couple of days due to rain.  The privacy fence is awesome and we can now use our back patio without the feeling like all the surrounding neighbors are watching us.  The dogs love the new extended area we added so they have more room to run and play.

Crew did a very nice job.   The fence looks awesome and we received several compliments from our neighbors.  Would highly recommend.  

Economy fence provided us with the service promised. Fence not only looks great!!! it was installed in such a way it keeps my very small dog contained. Economy fence did a wondeful job at a great price. Would recomend them to anyone that asks

The work was done promptly although it was not fully completed without me having to point out that part of the job was unfinished. The workers were responsible while on the job. The problem surfaced when I broke my own rule by paying in full for a job that was not 100% finished. The installer promised to return the next day to remove the old posts with concrete attached. It is now 4 months and a dozen calls later and the posts are still on site. I cannot mow the grass where they remain. At one point, I did get a voice mail in response to my many calls. The young lady who called apologized profusely about the situation and I was again promised that the crew would come retrieve the posts and quot;if not today, then by the end of business tomorrow.and quot; That's been approximately 2 months ago.

***Jim from Economy Fence sent out staff within two days of posting to pick up the posts and concrete. The problem has been resolved.***

I've used Economy several times for fencing and decks. They do very good work and the fence is top-notch. Needed the enclosure to be tight to keep dogs in and they were very mindful of gaps. Jim was very helpful when we needed changes made and I'm very pleased. I always recommend them. Thanks guys!

Estimate portion was easy, except when the fence was installed the last section of the fence near the water was not made differently, i.e. they just dropped another fence section into the water.

Workers showed up and installed fence in the rain (and lightening) which was surprising. Gates were each put on backwards, causing portions of the fencing to be bent from forcing them to fit. Fence on one side of the house was so far away from the house that my 75 pound dog could exit from there (very easily). Fence was pounded in, causing the black paint to chip, and it's now rusting in that area.

Had to provide pictures to the vendor to have them come out and fix them. All items were fixed. Overall, a hassle.

I wish I could provide those pictures to Angie's List.

Overall the fence looks good. I was very pleased with their work.

Everything turned out great and we would use them again.
