Not well.  Kevin showed up, replaced the header and painted the storage room.  After trying to pound a plastic pipe under the patio he gave us and said he couldn't do that task.  He then attempted to seal cracks in the cement patio with silicone, but that didn't work; with snow and rain, water continued to drip into the storage room.
At closing we received a check for all the work combined.  When I tried to cash the check I was told I couldn't as Kevin's name was first, mine second.  The only way it would work was to have Kevin cash the check.  He owed me for work he didn't perform and then we discovered that the patio sealing didn't work.  It took about 3 months to get partial payment and another month or so before he showed up to try and seal the patio with another product (it didn't work either).  It took numerous threatening e-mails and letters to get the partial payment so when the last effort on the patio didn't work, I just wanted to be done with him.

This was not really an emergency and I know that Mr. Downs is really busy because of the quality work that he does, so it took a little longer to schedule the job.   But as usual Mr. Downs repair was perfect and was a very fair price.  He's going to be our go to guy forever.

I've used Downs Home Services many times and I can always count on Kevin Downs to do a professional job.

I had 17 rotten siding panels on the exterior of my house. Mr. Kevin Downs replaced all panels with a much more durable composite material and painted them to perfectly match the rest of the house. Mr. Downs did a very professional job and the house is better than new. I will use Downs Home Services again!

It went poorly. Basically, the communication was poor and what he did he needed to be repaired. It was difficult to get him back here, and he used the excuse of weather (even though it was appropriate for the work that needed to be done). It took him a long time to finally get him back.

We felt Kevin worked efficiently and quickly to complete these tasks. These tasks were completed at my Mother's home in anticipation of it's sale.

1. We were considering having our mini-barn torn down because of wood rot on the walls. It also had a broken window. Mr. Downs covered the exterior walls with T-1-11siding and then trimmed the doors. He painted the shed to match our house. 2. We had a plumbing problem that caused our ceiling drywall to be cut open. Mr. Downs replaced the drywall, added texture to match the surrounding area and then painted it to match. It looks so good that I'm now motivated to paint the rest of the walls around it! Mr. Downs is a true carpenter. This is the second time that we have hired him and I look forward to enjoying his finished work again very soon. Everything that he has done ends up more structurally sound and better looking that it was when it was new.

I felt this company was in too much of a hurry to pay good attention to the work he did. The gentleman who did the work did not clean up his mess very well. I just did not have a very good experience with this company.

Very helpful. He will do anything. Hard working and willing to help. With exception of electrical work, he can do anything. He's trustworthy and I have no problem with him working in my home while I am not there.

I like the fact that he's easy to work with and gets to the work in a timely manor. He gave good advice on where to go to purchase the vanity. I had trouble getting the vanity into my car. One of his workers came to meet me at Lowe's to pick up the vanity. You do need to make sure everything is cleaned up after the work is completed.

Great, timely estimate, and was on the job within three days of my accepting quote. Was diligent about getting it finished before the rain, found other issues along the way. Kevin reported them with recommendations and changed order estimate. Kevin was customer focused. He even replaced a board that I felt was of inferior quality (the board, not Kevin's install).

Very professional and flexible.

Very professional, timely and considerate. I didn't mind him in my house, I was very comfortable. The finished product was very nice and he was very reasonable price-wise.

He does excellent work, he was running a little late, he did call. He cleans up after himself, however, his prices are a little bit high, but he does a good job.
