The service guy was very nice. He replaced a couple wires and then called the office to give them all the information so they could give me an the cost to replace the bad compressor. With phone call, was there about 45 minutes for a total of $238.53.
I received a call back from Deaton's with a price of over $2000.00 for the repair. I then called another company told them the problem. They ask me to send photo to them of compressor. The next day came to store and replaced the unit for a total of $1000 and for an additional $100.00 give me a 5 year guarantee.

Overall experience was OK, but with a few problems. The person who came out and gave me an estimate was knowledgeable of what I wanted done, arrived on time, and was polite. This was good, since my plumbing system is a bit more complicated than a typical system. Unfortunately, the actual installer (a different person) apparently wasn't as experienced with tankless systems and installed the new system incorrectly. Two follow up visits were required to correct the problem and take care of a couple other minor issues. The installer was also lacking a tool, which I went to a hardware store and purchased (along with some other materials) so he could complete the job. On the two follow up visits, the installer did not call ahead of time to let me know when he would arrive. Luckily I was home at the time. The company gave me a discount on the installation labor to compensate for my assistance in the installation and the problems encountered. This was reasonable and appreciated.

Jim Curry assessed the condition of our 1960s A/C unit when it stopped blowing cold air. It looks liked something from the Jetson's (elliptical and robin's egg blue). He ran some tests to determine whether the outdoor unit would hold Freon if he added it. Since the leak wasn't too bad, he was able to add some Freon instead of replacing the entire unit. This saved us several thousand dollars, but Jim warned us that the leak could worsen (meaning we'd need a new A/C unit). About three weeks later, the leak worsened and the unit began blowing room temperature (85-degree) air. The A/C unit is toast. Bummer. We called Jim again, and we plan to use this company to replace the old piece of junk with something way more efficient. We are very happy with Deaton's Mechanical's prompt service and honest assessment of our situation. Thanks, Jim!

THEY CAME OUT WITHIN 2 HOURS AFTER OTHER COMPANIES WOULD NOT COME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WINTER. THEY BROUGHT IN TWO MEN SO THE JOB COULD BE COMPLETED IN ONE DAY. THEY EVEN PROVIDED SPACE HEATERS TO KEEP US WARM WHY THEY WERE COMPLETING THE JOB. THEY GAVE HER PRIORITY BECAUSE AGE AND BECAUSE IT WAS COLD OUTSIDE. THEY WERE AMAZING! WE PAID A $1200 DOLLARS LESS FOR COMPARABLE SERVICE THAT FROM OTHER COMPANIES.

MR. CURRY WAS PROMPT ON HIS FIRST VISIT AND WAS VERY HELPFUL IN HELPING ME CHOOSE WHETHER TO GO WITH THE TANKLESS WATER HEATER INSTEAD OF THE TRADITIONAL TANK HEATER. HE WAS VERY STRAIGHTFORWARD ABOUT THE PROS AND CONS AND I NEVER FELT PRESSURED TO CHOOSE ONE SYSTEM OVER THE OTHER EVEN THOUGH THE TANKLESS SYSTEM WOULD HAVE BEEN A MORE PROFITABLE JOB. (IF I EVER DO HAVE THE MONEY TO INSTALL A TANKLESS WATER HEATER I WILL DEFINITELY CALL THIS COMPANY) THE TECHNICIAN, JAMES MORIN, WAS SIMILARLY PUNCTUAL AND POLITE. HE AND HIS ASSISTANT REMOVED THE OLD HEATER AND REPLACED THE NEW ONE IN A CLEAN, EFFICIENT AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER. THE QUALITY OF THE WORKMANSHIP IN FABRICATING THE DRIP PAN DRAINAGE SYSTEM WAS VERY GOOD. WHILE IT WAS PUT TOGETHER VERY QUICKLY, THE RESULT WAS NEAT AND CLEAN CUT.

WHEN REPLACING OLD WATER HEATER WITH THE NEW ONE, THEY SCRATCHED THE GARAGE FLOOR. AND ONE OF MY TOOLS WENT MISSING. I THINK THEY TOOK IT BY MISTAKE.

WHEN JOE ROBINSON, THEIR REP, CAME, WE TOLD HIM THAT IN THE RECENT COLD OUR FURNACE HAD TO BE TURNED ON BY HITTING A RESET BUTTON, AND THEN IT WOULDN T TURN OFF AGAIN, SO WE JUST SHUT IT DOWN A COUPLE OF TIMES. WE THOUGHT WE D BE REPLACING PARTS, OR WORSE. BUT HE SAID IT JUST NEEDED A GOOD CLEANING AND THAT A DIRTY NOZZLE WAS CAUSING THE PROBLEM. HE CHANGED THE FILTERS TOO. THE CHARGE FOR COMING OUT WAS $89. WE TOLD HIM THAT WE D LIKE TO BE ON SOME KIND OF PROGRAM WHERE THEY D JUST COME OUT NEXT YEAR. HE SAID HE COULD PUT US ON A CONTRACT SO THEY WOULD CALL US NEXT YEAR AND SET THINGS UP AND THAT THE CHARGE WAS $115.00. I GAVE HIM BOTH CHECKS, BUT HE GAVE THE ONE FOR $89 BACK AND SAID THE $115 COVERED IT ALL. HE COULD HAVE TAKEN BOTH CHECKS, CHARGED US FOR PARTS WE DIDN T NEED, OR SAID WE NEEDED A NEW FURNACE. HE COULD HAVE DONE A LOT OF THINGS , BUT WHAT HE DID WAS A GOOD AND HONEST JOB AT A FAIR PRICE. I COULDN'T ASK FOR MORE. IF JOE ROBINSON IS AVAILABLE, ASK FOR HIM!

THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE WAS A DISASTER. IT WENT FROM BAD TO WORSE. THEY WERE SHORT ON PEOPLE AND SO IT TOOK A LONG TIME AND THE QUALITY WAS REALLY BAD, IT WAS NOT WHAT YOU WOULD EXPECT.

ONE OF THE REPAIRS THEY COMPLETED WAS DONE INCORRECTLY. THEY REFUSE TO RETURN TO CORRECT IT AND NOW STATE THEY NO LONGER DO THAT TYPE OF REPAIR.
