We had Cutting Edge install a paver patio and Sundance louvered roof. Matt and Alex spent time with us in designing the perfect patio to fit our budget. The Sundance louvered roof is a wonderful addition to our back yard. Keaton and his team did an awesome job in installing the pavers and the Sundance. Keaton was super helpful in answering all of our questions and concerns.

Our experience working with Cutting Edge was exceptional from start to finish! And I would highly recommend them to anyone that is considering a hardscape project. Douglas created a fantastic design for our covered pavilion, paver patio, fire pit and outdoor kitchen, and was always attentive and willing to listen to our ideas and questions. We had regular updates throughout the project and he responded quickly whenever we contacted him. A couple very minor details were addressed immediately without issue, and they were even able to accommodate a last minute addition without any delays or concerns. We are thrilled with the finished project - it completely transformed the back of our house - and we are so glad we decided to work with Douglas and Cutting Edge!! This is my dream native plant garden! We turned a steep slope and valley into retaining walls with steps, garden beds and a contemplation space. The quality is top notch; this will be here for our lifetime. Although the poor communication in the first two months of the design process gave me pause for concern, Kevin and I discussed compromises and the project turned out fantastic. See before and after pics. I’m trusting them to do another project on the west side of the house next!

In 1Q22 I hired Cutting Edge to rejuvenate my entire backyard. I worked closely with Doug, then with Keaton and Carlos on the electrical and gas lines. Doug's design details were spot-on; he has a very keen eye for designing a workable plan and he handled executing it from A to Z. The amazing labor-team consistently arrived early, worked very hard, worked all day even on a cold weather day. They completed the job in under 2 weeks. The backyard now is 100% usable, and it's beautiful, too.

Worked with Matt, then with Alex on the design details. Multiple renderings were provided until we had settled on all of the details. We used Unilock pavers that were installed by CEH. Their team arrived early, worked very hard, worked all day even on some crummy weather days, and completed the job in about 2 weeks. Spring weather slowed them some. Our yard was already a mess from a recent addition so the CEH guys started out in mud but trudged through it. The installation is very good. Substantial base and posts for the Sundance. It's not going anywhere. A significant stone base that was approximately 8 to 9 inches was installed, smoothed and leveled. Joints are all properly sized. Angles on stones cut and installed very accurately. Gas lines for our free-standing grill and firepit were installed by CEH workers. Electrical also for the grill and the Sundance. Keep in mind this is a dusty and pretty noisy process, primarily from cutting the stones, which they did a lot of. We've had several people visit our home and all were impressed with the installation, including our addition general contractor.

Cutting edge replaced and extended our old concrete patio with pavers, adding in a fire pit as well. They worked closely with us right from the start, giving us realistic expectations of what could be done and they worked through several design options to make sure that we were going to be happy with the end result. Once we had a design, Daniel's team did the installation and they did a fantastic job. They did all of the work in under a week, but the quality of the patio was superb and it's clear that even though they worked quickly, they paid close attention to detail. We are very happy with the outcome and it was well worth the investment! We've already made good use of the fire pit in just a few weeks!

I was extremely happy with Cutting Edge. They did a great job throughout the entire process. Jake and Douglas were very responsive. Their work crews cleaned up after themselves. The project was completed a month ahead of schedule which I greatly appreciated.

They worked hard to install in a few days. Starting with new paver deck and Hessit concrete paver island with granite top. Natural gas grill was installed with stainless cabinet and fridge. We love it!

We were very impressed with Cutting Edge’s work, particularly the work done by Lino and team. The crew arrived early and ready to work each day. We were amazed at how quickly they were able to demolish the old deck and timber retaining wall without heavy equipment. We were warned about noise during demolition, but were unprepared for the noise and dust from cutting the pavers! Douglas was responsive when minor issues arose prior to and during construction, including the need to install a new whole-house drain clean-out and riser for our septic system (work done by a plumbing contractor) at one edge of the patio, following a plugged basement drain the weekend prior to planned construction start. There were two glitches during our project: 1 - the drainage plan for our 3 downspouts was changed without prior discussion. This resulted in an increase in cost and redoing a small amount of work, but an overall better solution. 2 – block was being used to fill in the base of the retaining wall planter beds instead of soil. This was resolved with a quick call to Douglas and follow-up discussion with the jobsite foreman. We are still working on a solution for the side-yard gate and the fence that was removed for the corner planting bed/retaining wall. The patio is higher than expected, so our gate will most likely need to become a one-way gate. The transformation was amazing and the end product is beautiful. I would recommend Cutting Edge for any hardscape project. They were professional, easy to work with, and fun to watch.

The crews did beautiful work. It was dusty, as should be expected with work of this type, but we had no problem with them cleaning up the considerable demolition. The crews arrived on time, if not early, and sometimes stayed late to finish the day's work. The final resulting project FAR surpassed our expectations. Neighbors and friends drove by and I heard many favorable comments. Due to COVID-19, we were home everyday and were very flexible about the timing for the workers. The only delay was for waiting for the delivery of the ceiling fan that WE ordered. GREAT crews, GREAT design, GREAT experience!! A+

The entire team at Cutting Edge did a remarkable job from start to finish. Douglas had a wonderful design he put together that fit the space we were working with perfectly. I will admit it was more than I wanted to spend, but the results were worth it. It has totally transformed the back yard. The work ethic and they way the on site team worked on the project & around our house was amazing. They were on top of what they do best, but also very careful with everything on the property. I would recommend this team for any outdoor project!!

We worked with our sales rep to refine and finalize the patio design. They provided documents we needed for HOA approval. They even helped us get the HOA approval ahead of the scheduled start date so they could start sooner. The crew did an excellent job on the patio and also cleaning up the yard. Cutting the concrete pieces made a lot of dust, but they even washed the neighbor's air conditioner when they were done.

The sales person, Jake, was great to work with. He was responsive, set expectations and delivered accordingly. The price of the work was reasonable. They started the work ahead of schedule. The finished product is fantastic, the stonework is all top notch and the wall looks flawless from top down or side view, which is impressive to me considering it is almost 100 ft long. The crew were hard workers and cleaned the area daily at work stop. Part of the scope was to bring in fill dirt to bring the yard up to grade. There was a return trip required to add more dirt to mitigate a trough in part part of the yard, but that was bad luck due to torrential rains that came in during the project and they did come back once dried out to correct. The only real issue from our perspective was what we considered to be slow responses from the project management group when we reached out with questions or concerns (though this project did take place during the pandemic and who knows what challenges they were working through). We have also seen their great work at others' homes and would use again and recommend to family/ friends.

The Cutting Edge Hardscapes team was timely and professional from the start of the project through to the end. We had called several contractors previously and couldn't get anyone to show up. They gave us a quote, a very impressive design and CAD drawing to submit to our HOA and finished the work within a week of being approved by our HOA. I'm so glad we went with Cutting Edge!
