Cumberland Flowers

This was the most beautiful floral arrangement I have ever seen.  I absolutely loved it.  The quality and design is remarkably higher than anything I have seen before.  
I had ordered several arrangements and gifts through 1-800Flowers.com and I had multiple problems with those orders.  One of them related to a second arrangement  to be delivered to the same address.  The problems were caused by 1-800 Flowers.com, and not the local florist.  
I called the Cumberland driver late on Christmas Eve, and he answered!  I was so glad because he gave me the information I needed, and I could then relax and begin my holiday.  The next week I called the owner and discussed the issue.  Both the driver and owner are very nice and I can tell they care about their work.  
I have decided to order all local flowers through this florist.  I will not order from 1-800Flowers again.

They made the most hideous flower arrangement. They used poor color choices, it had no design, it had dead broken flowers in it, and it looked nothing like the picture online. I contacted them in regards to the arrangement and they said since my son went through 1-800-FLOWERS it's a low profit margin for them (them being Cumberland Florist), so they just threw the leftover flowers, of that day, together and called it an arrangement. The woman I talked to at Cumberland Florist was rude and had poor customer service skills. She told me since I wasn't a "regular" customer of Cumberland Florist that I didn't get treated like their normal customers. She said if I was one of their "regular" customer I would have been treated like gold.

I then called 1-800-FLOWERS and they offered to send me what the arrangement was suppose to be. This time 1-800-FLOWERS went through a different floral company and the arrangement was beautiful.

My daughter ordered a lovely bouquet of flowers, balloon, and box of candy for me from 1-800-Flowers for Mothers Day.  It was promised for Monday, May 13 delivery.  Cumberland Florists was the local outlet which was to fulfill the order.  On Monday afternoon, when no flowers had appeared, she called 1-800-flowers, who apologized and promised Tuesday, May 14 delivery.  When no flowers had yet appeared by late afternoon on Wednesday, May 15 she again called 1-800-Flowers to cancel the order.  The flowers and balloon (no candy) appeared at our front door sometime during the morning of Thursday, May 16.  The delivery person did not ring the doorbell, they just left the flowers sitting there.  I called Cumberland Florist to tell them that the order had been cancelled on Wednesday, and they told me that someone would return to our house that day to pick them back up.  When I told them that the order was also incomplete, in addition to being 3 days late, the florist responded that she knew that - the delivery person had not brought the chocolate, although it was wrapped and ready to go.  The florist told me that they were short 2 delivery drivers, and that they had gotten behind on their deliveries.  At no time was there any attempt to apologize for the delay, nor for my daughter's disappointment that her surprise gift to me had gone so wrong.  The flowers were not picked up at my house until after 8:00 PM.
All flower orders are for a special occasion of some sort, and all must be delivered in a timely fashion.  At no time did Cumberland Florist attempt to contact us to explain the delay, and at no time did they apologize for their inability to deliver the flowers in a timely fashion.  
I would never use this florist, and I would never recommend them.
