1. Painting had to be re-done and/or touched up 4-5 times to cover 'patchwork' over nail holes--small nail holes had approx. 12" x15" patches on the walls.
2. A bathroom door had to be 'planed' 6 different times--6 different trips to the house--to fix it from rubbing on the heat vent on the floor.
3. Recessed lights were put in AFTER new drywall had been put up AND painted two coats of paint--I came home to about 8-9 holes cut out of the walls where they looked for wires for the lights--I could have shown them the wires before the drywall was installed, so it was just poor planning to have the lights put in AFTER they repaired/replaced/painted the drywall.
4. Downstairs toilet was removed in error, one upstairs bathroom was gutted, leaving just the bathroom in my bedroom for everyone's use... probably 95% of the days that they worked in my home when that bathroom was the only one available, I'd come home to the toilet seat up, and a mess to clean up.
5. Pantry bi-fold door was off for several months. Finally it was put up, and I got home and it didn't open. I called and they said they'd be back out to fix it on Monday (this was Friday). I had gone without a pantry door for months, now I finally had one but couldn't get into the pantry until they came back 3 days later.
6. I asked how much it would be to replace all the baseboards downstairs. I was told, via text, "Not much, less than $100". I agreed to have them done. I later was billed well over $500. We compromised on the final payment--I was agreeable to paying for the supplies, but had I known it was going to cost over $500, i never would have agreed to have them done.
7. Multiple other things including toilet installed crooked (the contractor asked "Did you move it? It was straight when I saw it", and then when he returned with his dad, he admitted he never saw it in the first place). Ceiling texture didn't match. The contractor said "I saw them mud it, they did it right. It looked like it matched", then his dad came out and right away said "This doesn't match at all". They fixed it.
Too many other more minor things to mention. Overall, am I happy with the end result? Yes. My house looks great. Jason was one of the workers at my house, and was a nice guy and a hard worker. I love the end result of the recessed lighting. However, the whole ordeal was the absolute most frustrating process I've ever had to deal with. Not showing up on days I was told they'd be there. Not calling when they finished so I could reset my alarm. Poor communication for the most part. Fortunately (for me) I kept record of every text and email exchanged with them. That came in handy when we discussed the cost of the baseboards, being told "I never told you less than $100", and I was able to promptly pull up the text to show them. I am happy to have the work completed.
Roofing crew did the job in a day. Very good work, no leaks\call backs on the roof. Roofers did excellent job cleaning up.
The gutter guys did a good job, but their cleanup could have been better, Large gutter nails scattered over front yard and mulch beds.
But I would deffinatly use the company again.
