The Connors run a tight ship. They are always pleasant to deal with. The kitchen was cleaned up every night and the job turned out wonderfully.

I have used, and my parents used, Connor Fine Painting for 30 to 40 (where does time go) years or so. I've never been disappointed with the interior or exterior work done by these fine painters, Kent is particularly talented, but any of their painters are better than most. You get what what you pay for. John White and his crew have always delivered excellent results. A couple years ago, I asked them to refinish 8 10' doors on St. Paul's Episcopal Church at Kessler & Meridian. They all lead out to the Columbarium. These doors are probably 100 years old and they needed refinishing badly. Today, I'm proud to have paid for this work to be done. They look well kept and probably as good as they ever did. Kent sanded down and refinished the doors. It took a couple days, but was well worth it. As my parents are interned in this Columbarium, I wanted it to look as good as possible. Connor Fine Painting exceeded my highest expectations. Thanks for a job well done

The staff were fantastic. We had two painters come for a total of 3 days. We had a new home that had builder white paint and was in need of some serious color to make it feel like home. The staff were great to work with and very efficient while taking care to cover or move our belongings while painting. In 3 days, they were able to paint our entire kitchen, 3 bathrooms, staircase, entryway and 2 hallways. They applied 2 coats and did a fair amount of detailed edging. I would definitely hiring this company again. Well worth the money for top notch professional painters.

These guys were fantastic. John White was our contact, provided us with the estimate and kept tabs on the job. Not only did they do an excellent job painting our 2-story home, but also repaired wood storm windows and replaced a couple of windows that were broken by a hail storm. The men who painted for us were very professional and made sure we were totally happy with everything they did. Connor was not our cheapest estimate, but we definitely got our money's worth.

They did a nice job. They're very competent. It's a large bedroom. It's 11 x 22. They came and they did a good job. They came when they said they were going to come. Make sure you know what color they're using. It might be better if you buy your own paint. Their workmanship is excellent.

They came on time, we had agreed on a price and the end price was exactly as they quoted it. They did a couple extra things that were not in the contract. They painted everything all the way down to the exterior lights. Painted all the gutters and downspots, and the 3 garage doors. They even painted a bench we have. Looks like a brand new house to me. Very professional, very pleased with the services.

They did the worst job possible. During the project, one painter put their paintbrush down on my cherry dining room table leaving a hugh paint spot on my table. It was an ordeal to get fixed and the owner called to ask if $500.00 off of the project would be enough to compensate for the damage. I told him no, but accepted the credit because I wanted to be done with them. I also had to call them back because I found paint on my carpet in several places. I felt it was a very unprofessional job and I would not recommend them to anybody.

As stated above, the work they did for us in 2011 was excellent. They were responsive, neat, and the quality was top notch. This March 2013, we started a kitchen remodel. After some problems with a general contractor, we were forced to hire all the individual contractors ourselves. Drawing on our past experience with them, we contacted Connor Fine Painting again to repair walls and paint our kitchen and ceilings. Because of the problems with the previous G.C., there were some timing issues involved. We needed the wall prep and painting to be completed before the carpenter came to hang the cabinets.
We called Connor Fine Painting's messaging center and left a message for the person who does "Residential" to contact us about a quote. Please note that I mentioned the messaging center. Throughout this whole experience with Connor this year, the only time I talked to a live person was when Nathan Connor answered his cell phone. I know many businesses choose this model for customer communication, but when there are problems like this - it adds to the frustration.
Nathan arrived and we walked him through what we needed. We had walls that needed drywall repair and prep in the kitchen. There was also a textured kitchen ceiling we wanted to know if they could repair/match to be un-noticeable. He measured the space and took a sample of the ceiling to his plasterer to determine if that was possible. Unfortunately, it is not possible to match our texture, so he split the quote to show cost for wall repair, prep, and painting, with another section for repairing and re-texturing the whole 1st floor ceiling so that it matched everywhere. This second part was extremely cost-prohibitive for us, as we are now spending so much more on the kitchen reno - because of the problems with the original G.C -- so we decided not to proceed with that part, but still wanted the walls repaired and painted.
We talked with Nathan again and he agreed to have his crew out on a Thursday and Friday for the wall repair and painting. We would be leaving for a trip out of town the next day for a week, and the following week the cabinets get hung - so this seemed ideal. He told us that he would be unavailable that Thursday, but that his crew would be here. Great! Thursday morning comes and no crew shows up. I try calling Connor Fine Painting but I can't get anyone to answer their phone at the message center. I even tried the President's number. I left messages. I call Nathan's cell, knowing he was out, but I left messages just in case he could help. No one shows or calls all day. Friday morning comes and I'm hopeful there was just a scheduling snafu and they got the wrong day. It's a repeat of Thursday. I called all the numbers again, including Nathan's cell. I left messages.
It is not until Monday of the next week, while we are out of town, that I hear from anyone. Nathan calls me and the phrase he used that sticks in my mind is, "Gee, I'm sorry it didn't work out for you." We were very disappointed at this reaction and thought a more appropriate response would be to apologize for their failure to show up. Again, we'd experienced great work from them before, so I tried again. There was no way for his crew to do the drywall repairs and paint before the cabinets got hung the following Monday. We would have to do the drywall repairs ourselves. However, I thought his crew could do the painting after the cabinets were hung, even though that was not ideal. He agreed to rework the quote so that only wall painting was involved and send it to me. We checked email all that week, while out of town. We got back Saturday night and started drywall repairs Sunday. We finally get a quote from Nathan on Sunday around 11:14 pm that night.
When we opened the quote, it was pretty much the original quote. It included the scrape-down of the 1st floor ceiling, repair and texturing of same (which we turned down after the FIRST quote). It also included the drwall repairs and wall prep of the kitchen walls (which I had told him we were going to do now) along with the painting of the kitchen walls. All told, it was a quote for almost $4,000 where all we wanted was to paint the upper half of 40 linear-feet of walls. In all fairness, there was a separate line item for the wall painting that was around $425, but we were concerned, at that point, that they simply were not listening to our needs and we would have issues going forward (particularly given that they did not show up for the larger job about two weeks prior).
We contacted Nathan on his cell phone again that Tuesday or Wednesday and asked him to return our sample of the ceiling to us. He asked if we were going to go forward with the project, and we told him that it seemed unlikely. He said he should be out the next day to return the sample.
It was a real shame NOT to hire Connor Fine Painting for this job. It was odd too. When we hired them for the first job, which was essentially a freebie for them, they did a great job. We even recommended them to several people afterwards. This time, when we had a job that we were going to pay for, they didn't show and then did not seem to listen to our needs.

I was at the 10 year mark on my home and had some much needed painting work that needed to be done. This included painting all exterior wood surfaces, refinishing a Thermatru front door, replacing and painting an exterior basement door, and doing major repairs to a back porch (replace rotted wood, screens and paint).
The work was amazing. They did everything. Bought the door, installed the parts, did the woodwork, bought all materials, etc. It was completely without headaches. The painting was excellent, but not nearly as impressive as the customer service. They were on time reliable and worked around my schedule.
The Thermatru door required a wiping stain, which is very hard to apply. It looks better than the original factory installation. When the door I ordered did not fit, they took the lead and took care of getting the right door. When they uncovered rotting wood on the side of the house, they were able to get a carpenter over right away and replace it. When I noticed my porch screens falling apart during the painting, they were able to repair it on the spot. They had no complaints about the little extras I asked for as they went.
I cannot imagine a better painter.

They weren’t cheap but they did pretty good work. I don’t think we got another quote for the job so I can't compare their price. The only bad thing I saw is that there was a little bit of white paint on a green rug that I didn’t notice for a long time. I’m sure if I had seen it sooner they would have come back and tried to fix it. We usually paint ourselves but this was much easier.

the absolute best painters ever. Their results are awesome, their results are very artistic - walls have a wonderful depth of color and outside work helps protect all surfaces for a lasting finish.

They were very professional. They cleaned up every day when they were done so that it wasn't something that I had to contend with. I really enjoyed the very professional encounter with them. The job has held up very well. I would use them for service in the future.

The house is 80 something years old and there were chips in the paint. Once they were done you couldnt tell there were ever any problems. Their work was very precise. They are family business but they are very professional. They were prompt. They came when they said they would and did what they said they would do. They are very knowledgeable.
