I see him with Dr. Robertson. One is for the rhythm of the heart and one is a surgeon. Each work on their expertise and they are very knowledgeable when they sit down and talk to me about it. They do that on different appointments. They confer with each other to see which is the best treatment or option for me. He is good at what he does. Everybody is really nice. He is very knowledgeable. He explains things very well to me.

I met her in 1993 and she was 6 months out of internship and I've been with her ever since! She has been my doctor for 23 years and I follow her where ever goes as she has moved to different hospitals. She is very thorough and communicative. The office is very well organized and when you call, they put you right through to a triage nurse.

lDr. Gamache ordered a 30 day Event Heart monitor for me to wear for 30 days - it arrived in 1.5 days in the mail.  There were instructions and a phone number to call in order to talk with a support person to make sure I had the monitor correctly set up.  The monitor transmitted its results continuously on its own, so there was nothing for me to do but to change its batteries when it got low. I mailed the monitor back to the company in their pre-paid box.  The doctor also ordered a treadmill stress test, an echo cardiogram, and a blood cholesterol test - all which happened in 2 hrs. in the same office so my day was not tied up running around. The tests she ordered were all reasonable and basic to begin with..... The technicians who administered the tests were professional and polite. The medical facility was spotless & welcoming.

He is not as personable but he has good knowledge.  The fluid doesn’t seem to get any worse or better but he said they can drain it but it is risky.  I told him if it is risky I would leave it.  I have nothing against him at the end of it, because I am sure he knows what he is doing.  He is punctual and his staff is very friendly.  If I do have a heart attack, I know that I will be in good hands.

He gives personilzed attention, he has good bedside manner because he takes the time to explain to you the testing and the interpretation of the results then going forward what you want to do, he explains medication thoroughly, and I think he is a great practitioner.

I think he's highly skilled in and extremely professional.  He is probably one of the most respected doctors in the heart hospital.  He's got a great manner and he is good.  He is a great person I have in the role like that.  His office is efficient and professional.  He is a specialist in angioplasty.

Dr. Kareti does a spectacular job listening to his patients and investigating all possible options for treatment. I went in for a heart cath due to some concerns found during a stress echo but was concerned about some information I had read around stents. I asked him to not put in stents regardless of what we found during the cath until we could discuss. He was fine with that and repeated back to me we would not do stents until we discussed the results of the test. After I found out I had 2 blocked coronary arteries at 90% plus, I spent a lot of time reading a variety of studies on how to handle the situation. I believed handling the situation with medicine and diet/lifestyle would be viable. Dr. Kareti and I spent over 2 hours discussing all our possible options and both arrived at the conclusion that medicine and diet/lifestyle changes would be the way to go. After heart rehab I had a follow-up stress echo and the news was great. Dr. Kareti said after the stress echo that if he hadn't known my history he wouldn't think anything was wrong. The great results were in part a result of his ability to listen and communicate his thoughts and create a good working relationship with me his patient to achieve the some end goal. I could not be more satisfied with a physician, and I look forward to many years working with him.

She is very willing to answer questions, and you don't feel like she is in a hurry to get to the next patient.

I felt a little like a scolded child, when the doctor assured me that my cardiomyopathy still existed, even after I insisted that all testing done by my prior cardiologist showed normal heart function. Lo and behold, the echocardiogram he ordered showed normal heart function. While I respect the education and experience of most phsyicians, I just hate it when they assume they know more about my body than I do. Nonetheless, this is a good practice, just a tendency towards patronizing behavior from the cardiologists. Maybe if I held someone's heart in my hands, I'd be the same way.

I was scheduled for an open heart procedure and was on the the operating table and everything ready to go. They changed their minds and decided that it was not in my best interest. I feel like that says about his care for my well being. It would have been a lot easier for them to just have gone ahead, done the procedure and get paid. I would highly recommend them and I'm doing well to this day.
