Talking to Cathy on the phone was cold. My Mom is having surgery next week and I need to find care for her 2 dogs and 3 cats. She was scheduled for in-patient rehab for two weeks after being discharged from the hospital so I had a long term request with several visits and an estimated bill of over $1000. As with everyone, things change. We ended up having to put one of her dogs to sleep a few days ago and her doctor cleared her to go home after surgery instead of rehab which is great! However, after sharing this AND my Mom’s home address with Cathy (scary), she thought it was too drastic of a change for her, didn't take the time to meet my Mom for their scheduled meeting this Saturday and oddly canceled ALL visits. Not so much sticking with their “guardian pet nanny” motto. Far from it. Smh. Don't waste your time with this one.

"This potential new client contacted me via email 13 days before her mother’s scheduled surgery to book 3 weeks of pet sitting. I replied to her via email on the same day with preliminary information and questions. She waited 7 more days to contact me again. I thought she had changed her mind and made other arrangements. Now we are only 6 days until the surgery date and I’ve never met these people. I dropped everything to work out the details over the phone with [Member Name Removed] and sent her a confirmation email immediately after our phone call. The plan was for a total of 49 visits and to schedule a meeting this weekend. A couple of hours later [Member Name Removed] contacted me again with a new email dropping all visits except for 4 randomly spaced visits over 3 days next week with gaps in between. Our company does not do “job sharing” because of liability issues. Also, there is an increased risk of picking up COVID-19 when job sharing with strangers. I politely declined this amended job offer and wished [Member Name Removed] and her mother well. Both job offers and my declining the 2nd one occurred in the same day. I was professional and kind throughout all communications. [Member Name Removed] gave me an F in every category even though she willingly agreed to my price, and my responsiveness was the same day. Since I've never worked for her, she has no idea what my quality or punctuality would be. I was under no obligation to accept her offer of 4 pet visits. Her behavior is beyond ridiculous! Rest assured that Comforts of Home Pet Sitting will continue to provide its clients with dependable and loving pet care just as we have done for these past 11 years! Please read our other reviews."

Comforts of Home is amazing. Very detail oriented and wonderfully professional. We have seven pets and she took great care of them and communicated with us daily. Cathy puts a lot of work into her profession and takes everything seriously. Also she watered plants, checked mail and kept eyes open for anything suspicious around house.

We arrived home to a happy, healthy cat! Cathy has been taking care of Slick the Cat whenever we have been out of town for the last 2.5 years. We love her! Slick loves her! Cathy always sends us text messages and pictures during our vacations and waters the indoor plants when needed. It gives us great peace of mind to know Cathy is watching Slick and our home while we are away!

Cathy and Kristen from Comforts of Home were amazing. We had a very thorough and professional sit-down before our vacation, going through all the details of our alarm system, veterinarian, feeding schedule, and even emergency details such as our water and gas shutoff and backup contacts. They visited each day and kept our kitties company and texted us a couple photos and updates. Their rates are extremely reasonable and we'll definitely be using them again. Heartfelt thanks!

It went perfectly! Cathy Clark went above and beyond to cover us for the 20 days we were gone. She spent a lot of time with Slick the Cat during her visits and provided daily reports. We came home to find a very contented, well cared for cat, houseplants watered and house secure. We had used Comforts of Home Pet Sitting in the past and highly recommend their services again!

It went great. Cathy met with us for a good amount of time prior to our trip in order to get to know us and our 3 cats. Having her come to our house to feed and clean up after our cats made our trip so much better. It was comforting to know they were cared for and played with while we were gone. This was our first time ever using a pet sitter and I would definitely use Cathy and her business again. Excellent experience.

Cathy is extremely professional and thorough. She came to our house before our first pet sitting visit and completed an extensive questionnaire about our cat, her habits, where all of the cat's things were located in the house and where to dispose of the litter, etc. She also offered to turn lights on/off and open/close blinds during her visits, bring in the mail and take the trash out to the curb on trash day. While we were away, Cathy texted us each time she visited, sending us photos and updates. She really put my mind at ease as I knew our cat and our home were in excellent hands. We've already booked her for 3 more trips. She charges based on the amount of time you request her to spend at your home each visit. We had her come twice a day.

We 100% trust Cathy and Mark to take good care of our dog as well as working with our house alarm daily. They do a great job and as such, we have hired their services for daily dog lunch visits for over a year and a half now. They leave daily activity notes so we are aware when we get home from work of how he did that day during lunch to alert us to any behaviors outside the norm. They are also great with going the extra mile and really do care about your dog/animal. I was worried our dog would eat stuffing from a new crate liner we bought and as such, Mark drive back to our house after his initial lunchtime visit to make sure he removed the liner to avoid that potential issue from happening. These owners are good people that you can trust with your most precious possession, your animal. :)

I highly recommend Cathy and Mark Clark and their business, Comforts of Home Pet Sitting LLC. I was going on vacation and needed someone to come and check my 2 cats twice a day since they are on a diet and do not have food out all the time. I felt very comfortable having them take care of my kitties and turn on/off my alarm system when they came to my house. They also brought in my mail and put my trash out that week. I paid for two 30 min/day visits, but they often stayed longer and played with my cats. I only requested that they text once per day and they did (and sent kitty pictures also!). I met with Cathy initially to go over their care and she also went over my dog's care (he was being boarded that week at a kennel) in case I would need her services in a pinch. Everything went well and, again, I would recommend their business!

Cathy is wonderful. Besides feeding the cats and making sure the litter box is clean, she gives our cats lots of love and attention. She also texts pictures of them to me, which gives me peace of mind and brightens my day. She brings in the mail and waters my plants. I couldn't ask for a better pet sitter!

We feel it went very well. Cathy and Mark kept a daily log of the time of their visits, what they did and how the dogs were doing. They are very well organized and took the time to do an detailed interview of us so they knew all about the dogs and daily routine. It made our vacation much more enjoyable to know our much loved dogs were being well cared for and our home was safe and secure. .

We have depended on Cathy and Mark Clark of Comforts of Home Pet Sitting for the past 7+ years to provide excellent care for our cats and our special-needs dog. They are very flexible and accommodating with our schedule and have helped out out multiple times with emergency and short-notice situations. They walk our dog, Rocky, seven days a week after which he always comes home tired and happy. With age, Rocky has developed multiple health problems and the Clarks have graciously taken on the extra burden of giving him an increasingly growing list of medications. They have also been graciously patient with Rocky's behavioral quirks and cognitive decline. Leaving our pets in the care of Comforts of Home Pet Sitting gives us a peace of mind that is priceless.
