Well. Nate provided pictures of various areas of the roof gutters and chimney which were deteriorating, also pictures in the attic of the roof decking where there was water damage. Work to replace and repair will be scheduled.

It took Cochran Roofing over a month to get us an estimate for our ice dam problem. We called several times trying to get an estimate. We finally got an estimate on Jan. 9th. I have a copy of the estimate with the date on it. But the Deal that I purchased stated that there was to be a complete attic inspection and all the guy did was shine his flashlight in the attic, he did not crawl in the attic and check out where the problem was. We then hired another company to do the work. I would like a refund for my big deal.

Ralph was very understanding and seemed truly interested in solving my problem. He explained what he felt needed to be done which included the larger gutters with leaf guards. He also suggested that more insulated in my attic to help. What was there was not up to the current building requirements. Ralph was very efficient in getting the work scheduled and the workers were very professional. I assumed the insulation would just go above the front room where the problem was, but the quoted price was for insulation over my whole house. There was never any pressure to buy the deal. I would definitely use Cochran Exteriors again if needed.

Had an issue but once one of the senior managers got involved, things resolved quickly.

Whoever replaced the roof a long time ago crack the PVC pipe and knicked a few holes in it so whenever water come down the inside of the pipe and dripping inside the roof in the ceiling of my house it cause a water spot. Everyone thought it was the seal around it so he went up with his flash light and saw the two holes that they put into it so he cut it off a put a new one on. He did a great job. I would let Cochran do anything to my house that needed to be done. It had not leaked since. The first time he came out he fixed what he thought was wrong and I didn’t expect him to come out the second time to do it for free. They are very professional ad good at what they do.

They did well. Their original bid was reasonable, and included fix a skylight that occasionally leaks. We chose to go with everything but the skylight. I received a call saying the job would cost an additional $750 due to soft soffit wood they ran into while fixing a squirrel hole. That had the ring of truth so I said okay. They seem to have done a good job, and the squirrel's are currently not in the attic any longer. They came out and did the job in 2 days.

I called Cochran to schedule and appointment and they had someone contact me about an hour later. I talked to Mark Kiemeyer and he was very helpful and answering my questions and we scheduled a time for him to come take a look. He got in my attic to see if there was any damage and took photos so he could show me the issue and explain the problem. He then got on the roof and also took some photos to show me where the problem was. He was able to seal the pipe to prevent water from getting into the attic going forward. To ease my mind he also sealed all of the edges of the pipe and flashing .

Great! He was so helpful and explained everything. It was a big deal offer for a roof inspection.

This was a big deal purchase. It was good; they were very good. It was fine. The guy did a really good job. That went okay. Then the guy from our insurance company came out and he worked with him. We ended up having to have a new roof and some other stuff done. That part did not go so well. We got the new roof on and it was the wrong color. It just took a long time to get everything done that needed to be completed. There is still one thing they haven't done. My husband has called and he was supposed to get back to us. We just finally got the final check from the insurance company yesterday. From July to now, that's just not acceptable.

Perfectly. I had asked for a visit on Wednesday 11/9. On the evening of 11/8 Mark Kiemeyer called me and stated that he could perform the service at about 2 pm on 11/9. He said it would be as close to 2 pm as he could make it and that he would call me when he could give me a more exact time. He called that day around 1:45 and gave me an ETA of about 2:25. He arrived right on time. I showed Mark the stain in question and he climbed into my daughter's attic to ascertain the cause. After a through exam he determined that there was no leak and that stain was probably caused by a one time storm in which a strong wind blew water down one of the vents on the roof. He advised to paint the stain so as to be able to identify the problem if it were to reoccur. Matt then climbed onto the roof, examined the roof and the gutters, provided reinforcement to the vents and various staples found on the roof to ensure no future leakage. Finally he gave me a full report on the probable life span of the roof as well as the condition of the gutters and the siding. All this work was done at no extra charge. Mark was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and a pleasure to deal with. I would definitely use him again.

Cochran Exteriors was generally good to work with. Scott Leigh gave us an estimate and acted as liaison with the company throughout the process. During an Angie's List promoted roof and gutter check, he found hail damage to our roof, downspouts, and siding on one side of the house. He volunteered to come back out when our insurance adjuster came, so that he could point out the damage. He did a great job of explaining the process, and Cochran worked directly with the insurance company to help get as much work as possible paid for. Cochran did a great job replacing the roof and installing ridgeline vents. They dragged their heals about getting replacement siding, new guttering, downspouts, and gutter guards installed. I understood that they were using the good weather to work on other folks' roofs, but they didn't communicate with us for several weeks after the roof went on. When a subcontractor finally came to do the remaining work, there was a totally honest mistake in communicating with them what needed to be done. They did a great job replacing siding, and Cochran even approached our insurance company about paying to bring the siding up to code with house wrap. But although they gave us new downspouts and the gutter guards, they neither replaced the gutters nor the wood backing along one of the gutters where water seepage had caused the wood to rot. I felt like most skilled workmen would question the directions to put new gutter guards in nasty old gutters, and nail sagging gutters back to rotting wood. When I contacted Scott Leigh about the oversight, he and Cochran moved quickly to get it corrected. Overall, the work Cochran did was excellent. Cleanup after the work was reasonably good ... no one could get ALL the little pieces of shingle that fell into shrubs and planting areas ... they cleaned up the majority of it. I would definitely use their service again.

Could not have been improved in any area. Discovered hail damage and worked with my insurance provider. Competed removing, installing and cleaning up in about 6 hours. Would highly recommend using to anyone interested in doing exterior work to their home.

This was a small job to repair shingles from three different areas on my mothers house that had blown off because of high winds along with a few areas of sofit trim. The salesman was prompt at meeting with me and getting a down payment. From that point on all contact was made from me to him. In a period of over four months he was not proactive. Told me he was working with the insurance company to have full replacement of roof due to hail damage. I was never contacted by the insurance company questioning or confirming the additional damage. I finally hired another contractor that did exactly what I wanted. It took an additional three calls to the office of Cochran to have the deposit money returned to me. I will say that the accounting Person that I dealt with was very professional very courteous. I did receive a full refund of the deposit. Cochran did a full replacement of my mother's neighbors roof. In that job the crew threw away all of the gutter guards. That was May 2017 as of the end of September 2017 the gutter guards were still not replaced by Cochran. This contractor is now off my radar.

The roofers (sub contractors) were on time & completed the job in 1 day. Unfortunately window screens were damaged along & nails, crowbar, wood left in yard & patio. It took 3 visits for this to get taken care of properly. Then when it was time to be billed they sent a new bill. To my insurance company for additional work (which was not performed on my house). The bill for the services went from $7685.00 to $14,001.39, my insurance company refused to pay the new bill as it was not approved prior. Plus, as I said where were things they were charged to me that were not alone & did not pertain to my house. Three packets of singles were left over & they did non leave them or any with me! I have proof of the estimate & final bill that was sent to the insurance company if you need them.

I sent a message through AL on August 16th, explained the price and the job. Shortly later received an email asking for my name and number. Service provider showed up and took a piece of siding with him. He was going to contact the company to see what else he could put on the siding. I said, "great" seemed like a great man and that he came out quickly. Did not hear from him for about a month. I called him, he acted like he didn't know who I was. Then he tried to act like he did know who I was. He asked for a copy of the email. He said he would get back to me the next day. He did not get back to me. I called a couple weeks after that, said I am still waiting. He said he was putting things together still, like prices. I said that I told him the price we agreed upon, and he said he just needed to get the guy to do the job. I called again a couple days later. He said he was working on the prices. I asked if he read the letter and he said he did. October 12th I called again, he said he still didn't have it done. He said he would do it that night and get back to me. Of course he didn't, he didn't call again. I called October 14th and he said he was going to call last night. He did call and told me I owed $1700. Total I waited 2 months and he came back with a price higher than we agreed upon. He said he would do the job and and guaranteed that the siding would be great. He kept trying to sell me this deal. He basically mislead me this whole time. I asked how soon I will hear from a person for this work, he said he didn't know. Said he would call right at that moment. He said "oh, yeah, yeah" that someone will call me. Shortly after the call he sent a list of people to do the job. He said he would call those people and try to get the work done.

Quality work completed according to plan. Great communication throughout the process. I plan to use for future roofing needs.

It went well . . . Brett did a great job. He found and fixed a couple of things, then will be meeting with my insurance adjustor to see whether they can fix the big things. So far, so good!

It went very well. I did not realize when I came home from Spring Break and noticed massive chunks of shingles and underlayment missing from my roof from a recent storm. I really did not know what to do other than contact my insurance company. The initial adjuster came out- was there for 5 minutes, never even got on the roof, and about a week later sent me a check for $2000 for repairs. At that point- I began reaching out to several roofing companies on AL and contacted Cochran. Chris York came out to my house- spent a great deal of time on the roof, took numerous photos and prepared a report to go to my insurance company. At that point- the ins company sent a 2nd person out to meet with Chris. The second individual also did not accompany Chris on the roof and about a week later I received a second check for around $3K. Chris had explained that Cochran would deal directly with the ins company and finally- they sent a 3rd person to meet with Chris- another roofer. He obviously agreed with Chris that a completely new roof was needed and within days, the insurance company finally caved and agreed to cover the entire roof replacement as well as repairing the drywall and water damage on the inside from the water coming through before I contacted Cochran and had the tarp put on. I have to admit- it did take a while to finally get the new roof installed but most of the delay I felt was the fault of my insurance company playing games with all of us- trying to get out "cheap" initially when a new roof was warranted. Chris was very friendly- it turned out we had some mutual acquaintances, and I never at any time felt that he was trying to feed me a line of BS just to get the business. I have recommended him and Cochran Exteriors to another person and I see their truck in my neighborhood occasionally so I know they have picked up some business based on neighbors seeing the quality work that was done on my home. I had never had an insurance claim on my home like this and no question- there is a game that is played between insurance company- trying to save money, and the contractor- trying to get the work done that needs to be done. It pays to have reputable people with experience dealing with insurance companies that try to bully their policyholders when it comes time to pay a claim. I am glad I had Cochran on my side for this

They came out, did the inspection, and said that I had hail damage. They said in order to go ahead, they wanted me to file the claim with my insurance company and so I did that. The insurance company came out and inspected the roof and they only are going to cover half of the roof so I was kind of stuck in a way because I didn't want to do half of the roof for the damage that was done. I wanted to get the whole roof done because I felt that if I did half of the roof, I would have trouble with leaks and issues with the way the roof was done. They said that there was hail damage on the whole roof. The insurance company came back with half of the roof. They didn't want to fight with the insurance company for me to get the entire roof replaced so I had wound up contacting my insurance agent and he gave me a few other names to try in terms of companies that would fight with the insurance company to get the full roof done, and I was successful in getting that done by another company. They were good, they were nice people. They seemed to be honest. They came out when they said they were going to come out. They were accommodating with whatever I wanted to do but I was just disappointed in them having me to go through all that efforts when they wouldn't go any further in terms of the effort to get the whole roof covered by my insurance company. To get a higher grade, I would say they shouldn't tell people to file a claim unless they are confident that they can get the whole roof covered by the insurance company. Don't say that people need a new roof and then when the insurance company comes back with only half of the roof, they didn't follow through to fight for me. I didn't feel like they fought for us in terms of getting the whole roof covered whereas another company came in and they were able to do that. I had to go through 2 companies to get that done and a lot of time. Don't have people go through the steps to file a claim unless they themselves are confident they can convince the insurance company that they can get the whole roof covered.

Scott from Cochran is working with us and our insurance adjustor. We are currently waiting for the insurance adjustor's report, then we'll go from there. I can't give you a full review yet.

Everyone we dealt with was very helpful and incredibly responsive. Luke did great job checking out the roof, chalking nail pops, and checking the gutters and siding. He took pictures and shared everything he found. He had no recommendation for any additional work. He specifically checked out an area that had leaked during the bad storms last week but he couldn't identify the particular problem. He said that if it did start leaking during another storm to call and he would come right over to check it out.

Initial estimate by Cochran representative went great. Then they were unresponsive for many months. After much effort on my part, I got them to schedule the repairs nearly 5 months after the estimate. This was completed by a subcontractor. Unfortunately, they did not address the initial goal of the project and actually caused more damage to the door frame and door during the process. The door was also reinstalled incorrectly in the process. I contacted Cochran directly with my concerns, and they immediately redirected to the subcontractor. The subcontractor (manager) agreed that the repairs needed additional work and offered to try again. They gave a sincere effort to fixing some of the problems from the original repair process, but again, the initial goals were not met. I think this ultimately resulted from a disconnect between Cochran and their subcontractors, and ultimately due to an undue transfer of accountability from Cochran to their subcontractors. This results in a loss for the customer.
