CENTO SHOES

The new heavy duty zipper and zipper pull tabs work very well and look like they came with the boots.

In looking for a particular style of hat I stopped in to peruse their stock.  I did not see what I was looking for, so Tony offered to special order one for me, and if it did not work out for my brother then I would not be obligated.  I took him up on this offer.  The hat worked out perfectly. 

While in the store I notice some beautiful quality men's clothing and shoes.  I asked about women's shoes (which they currently do not carry) however he said they could order me shoes if I new what I would like.  Additionally I became aware of their shoe fitting, polishing and repair services - looks to be quality work.  I will definitely remain a customer as needed.

The shoes look great, They have the worn look that comes from being my favorite pair of shoes for the last decade, but the soles are brand new and the seams aren't apart anymore! Finding a great cobbler or shoe shiner is not easy nowadays, and I will definitely use them again. It's also nice to see a local, (small) business downtown right next to the mall and tourist/convention area.

The store smelled very strongly of shoe polish--I had my husband wait outside with our newborn. That being said, the location is very convenient for those who live.work downtown.
I showed them my shoe and they said they could fix it and they see a lot of these. I thought $26 seemed a little steep for the fix, but they have to open up the shoe to replace the part, so maybe that's a good price. Much cheaper than getting another pair, and I love these shoes. They told me to come back in a week, and I asked if it could be ready in 6 days, and they said no problem. They called me when the shoes were ready (like they said they would), and it was easy pick up. I'm very happy to be able to wear my shoes again the quality of the work was great.

The top loop on my cowboy boot was torn.  Cento did a wonderful job on the repair.  It looks almost like new and it is stronger than when the boot was new.  I love it and would definitely take other repairs there.  The gentleman behind the counter was very responsive and helpful.  I would recommend this shop over others in town that I have used. 

I went to Cento to see if they could save one of my favorite pairs of Bostonian dress shoes. Tony was very polite and professional and said they could put new soles and heels on the shoes and that they would be better than new. He called me several days later and said they were complete. When I picked them up, they looked tremendous!! They really were better than new and had been shined up in addition. I was really impressed with the price (soles and heels cost less than half the price of a new pair), speed and quality of work. I would give Cento my highest recommendation if you need anything related to shoes and will definitely use them again in the future! A super customer experience!!!

Fantastic. They are very knowledgeable and really care about their customers. I could not be happier with the outcome of my boots! I would highly recommend them for any shoe repair you may need.

This pair of shoes has special decorative stitching holding the top of the shoe to the sole.  The leather "thread" had broken and started to come apart.  I took the shoes to one repair place, which did a lousy job - the only improvement was that they replaced the thread so that the shoe wouldn't come apart again, but the shoe looked awful.  Fortunately, they didn't charge me anything for that useless job.  I took the shoes to another place, where they didn't want to touch the shoe at all.  They told me that they would have to totally replace the thread on both shoes, and it would cost $40 apiece.  Cento repaired the shoe so that you can't tell where the problem was, and charged me only $16.  They did it within 9 days.  They originally promised a week, but called me later to say that there would be a delay because they wanted a particular person to work on them.  It was well worth the wait!  Excellent customer service and beautiful work, for a price much lower than I was willing to pay!

First project was well done, but took several months.  Second project was a complete failure on their part.

I brought the shoes in on Friday afternoon, and by that evening, Tony had left a voicemail that they were done. PIcked them up the next day, less than 24 hours. Quality work, and Tony estimated my second-hand shoes were worth about $400 total. I felt it was money well spent to revitalize these classic pumps.

It took a long time. They told me that someone was out and they were short handed. They didn't call when they were done. I called and they kept telling me it would take another week. The work they did was fine.

Left shoes at shop and were told we had to pay in advance. They said they would deliver the finished shoes to my wife's office. Waited and waited and waited. Called to ask what was going on. They said the repair was more difficult than expected and only their dad could do it. He had been sick, and was backed up...but my shoes were on his bench and they would be ready the next day. Waited and waited. Called again after a week had passed Said they would be ready soon. Waited. Called again. Said they would be ready soon. Finally after over 4 weeks, the shoes were delivered. The final product looks nice. Good job. But don't lie to me about when they will be ready!

I had a pair of loafers re-soled. Though the workmanship looked fine, I feel like I'm walking on rocks. Before I would use this company again, I would compare prices as I think $32 is a little expensive. On a positive note, Cento's is polite and professional.

Cento's was fabulous!! The gentlemen who helped me took great care in making sure my irreplaceable, vintage, handmade Italian shoes were not altered. They repaired my shoes in a way that fit beautifully with the original design.

Fantastic work! I'd actually worn through the soles on the first pair of boots, and Cento did a great job replacing the front half, then reset the heels on a pair of used boots I'd picked up in Santa Fe. Really nice work and clearly for quite a bit less than two pairs of new boots.

This was the best service OF ANY KIND I have had in years and years. Not only was the job very well done, the service was just as friendly and professional and customer oriented as anyone could want. This firm, contrary to what Angie's List shows, does indeed service my area -- they actually pick up and deliver for free!! (I am in Carmel, Cento's is downtown.) Since downtown parking can be tricky, they will also meet you curbside if you call on your cell to let them know you are nearing their location. What was astounding was the reasonable price. I actually ended up insisting that I pay them 50% more, because I did not feel the price was adequate. I am pleased to recommend Cento's to anyone -- and have actually already sent a note to about 50 friends to let them know there is indeed a great shoe/purse/leather repair shoe in our area. No need to put up with the unfriendly, expensive service their competitors are noted for. Centos repaired three bags for me, one of which the competition said it could not repair, and they did a GREAT job. I am so pleased to have found them. Oh, yes, one more thing: I took the purses in 15 minutes before closing time on Tuesday -- walked out with two of the purses, and the third was delivered to my door at 8 AM Friday. I'd challenge anyone to beat that kind of service!
