This is my go-to shop for when our cars need more maintenance or service than an oil change. They are consistently professional and reliable. I've tried a few other places that were closer and seemed more convenient, but I keep going back to Castleton because I know they'll do a good job.

I dropped in to see if I could schedule a repair estimate for a muffler repair/replacement. Very much to my surprise, I discovered I was speaking to the owner himself, and he said let's put your car on the lift and see what's wrong. I accepted the extremely reasonable estimate and also requested some additional service. Bottom line, all the work was performed perfectly, and the final price came in even lower than what we thought going in. How often does that happen? I was so pleased I'm telling others. I love the idea of family owned businesses anyway, but when they perform the work more expertly and more cost effectively too, I couldn't be happier.

Mr. Trump was very through in his evaluation and explanation to me about the car. Felt very well informed in making the decision on further work. They instilled a sense that I could trust them. I was so pleased that I think I will take my car there for maintenance from now on. As a bonus, their waiting room is clean and in good order.

they did not hear the noises. They are still there and I am concerned it could need new shocks/struts. Will take it somewhere else for an evaluation.

I took my car to Castleton Auto Repair, as they literally just got done repairing my wife's A/C system the day before and did a good job, so I trusted they would do the same with my car. Sure enough they did. Upfront and honest with the price and time frame and they called to give me a couple options before doing the work. Appreciate a good honest mechanic & good customer service which I got from Castleton Auto Repair.

Not only did they fix my breaks but they gave me a call asking if I wanted them to take the car over to the tire center to get new tires. They were willing to drop off my car for me so that I wouldn't have to come back and drive it the mile to the tire center. That is excellent customer service! We will definitely be going here again.

The 1st time we dropped it off, they said it needed charged & it would be $120. Great! I was thinking a new compressor, clutch and labor would be around $2k. Wasn't able to get there before they closed but paid over the phone and they left the key in the car (took the spare) so we picked it up that day. Very next day my wife called me and said A/C was blowing hot air again. Called and they said to bring it back in. (having two kids and busy schedule, this was not ideal) but it was a hot summer week and A/C was needed. Got a call from the shop that day and a new compressor was needed. $920 to replace & it included the labor but no warranty - Gave the green light to do it and they even took off the $120 we paid to have it charged the day before, so $800 total. This is a local company that does good honest work and I have recommended them to friends and family. They might be a little more expensive than the chains but you'll get good customer service, no fluff and honest pricing from an honest mechanic.

Their prices were very fair, they were very friendly, and they seem like a very honest shop. We had come in with a list of services that another shop had tried to sell us, and they gave us an honest assessment of how urgent these services actually were and a timeline of when they would likely actually need to be performed.
