Was told wrong information about tub, and this hot tub is a bad product. When I first contacted care free to cancel order that I paid cash for, was told by salesman by law I'm obligated to purchase. Can only up grade to new spa. Told owner that I wished to not do anymore business with his company, he only gave me more BS. Would not take back spa, even after I offered to let them keep my old spa they gave a value of $1000.00 on trade in, and give me my money back. I offered this in lew of any restock fee. Still gave me the run around and wanted me to up grade spa with them. Very bad company to do business with. Very poor customer service by salesman and owner.

Before Carefree, I owned two previous hottubs, from two separate companies.  And, let me tell you the most important ingredients when one buys a hottub;  like a car, hottubs need repair, from time to time.  Those other two companies that I learned to hate, always had deceptive fees.  Trip fee, out-of-warranty fee, whatever they wanted to call it, I was always held hostage, or at least felt so, by those folks.  
  Carefree's people, for the past six to eight years, have treated me honestly and fairly.  Do NOT buy a hottub from anyone else in Indy!!

Carefree sold us this hot tub, and I have had some service issues with cover replacement in the past so this time I had another company come first.  Took sides off, told me I had 'critters', lots of damage, couldn't even tell the extent - $ 3600 to transport the spa to their shop, fix everything and bring it back.  Or could trade it toward a new, blah, blah. 
Carefree was recommended by a friend, made a call about noon, Theo was at my house at 5 PM the same day and fixed a broken drain pipe for $ 179.  He was there less than an hour.  No drama, just fixed it.  Spa is full, running well, AMAZING.

I love them and I've referred several people to them. I like the service of the owner. He's really helpful and the service he provides to his customers is amazing. He always takes care of me and always makes sure that everything is done on time and perfectly.

I would highly recommend Carefree Spas to anyone who is interested in buying a hot tub! They  have a very good selection at very competitive prices. (For Funs, we looked at a competitor across the street ("Where family and fun come together"). A sales person never came over to offer any "help". The price were higher for a lesser-quality product than at Carefree.) The people at Carefree really seem to care about their product and their customers.

The men who delivered at set up the hot tub were friendly and professional. They got the tub up and running in no time, and we were enjoying the hot water that night!

I had to give my credit card information when I made the appt.  that puzzled me.
the service man ran late and was unable to contact us or even his HQ b/c  he was in another part of the state.  He came early before his other appointments the next day.  We did not mind he was running late, it just would have been nice to know.

Spa came in by date promised.  Crew delivered spa and had to roll it down a hill to get it to the installation site.  They installed the spa and explained how to use it.  They were very professional and we love the spa!

Ken Leonard is very honest and knows about spas.  He has a very good product and proved his spa is the best buy for the money.  His company installed our spa and has taught us how to treat the water and balance the levels.  He has been very fair and we love our spa.  I will not buy a spa from any one but Ken Leonard at Carefree Spas!!!!

I thought because they had sold the hot tub they would know that particular product.  I thought they would be familiar with it, but I don't think they were professional.  I thought some of their conversation was inappropriate.  What they were replacing was a former repair that they had done.  It was a poor repair job that was done years ago.  They made it look like it was my poor decision.  It is fixed now.  It is fine and running.  My screen porch is dry.  I think they should have service records of what had been done on a product that we bought from them and got serviced by them.  I was concerned about that.

They came to our home to help us decide which hot tub would be the best and what was needed to have the site ready. There was no sales pressure and they were very helpful with selection as well as all the information we needed to get the sire ready.  The hot tub was delivered about 2-weeks later. This is a large unit and the installation went better than I expected. I asked about a service contract after installation and was told everything is under warranty so I did not need a service contract. Everything was explained and the wife and I have been happily hot tubbing every since.

Great. The repair would have been massive, so I traded for a reconditioned, really nice tub. They had it here and running in just a few days.

The technician knew exactly what to do and fixed everything quickly.

They delivered it on time. They were very careful to not damage any of the property.

I was having a outbuilding built and the contractor agreed to stain the hot tub at the same time as painting. After contacting Carefree Spas in regards of proper paint/stain to use. We found it takes a special stain. The contractor could not find it while picking up his materials. Come to find out it is a specialty item out of California (also a friend told me this was true). Carefree Spas is approximately 30 miles one way from my house. However, there was a employee there that lives in our area that offered to drop it off on the way home. The owner did not charge any extra for his services. KUDOS!!!! with these gas prices.

I have a 5-year no fee, no mileage warranty. First heater pump was replaced at no charge, no problems. Ionizer was not replaced, they wanted $400 and told me it was not covered by warranty, that it was an option, which was funny since I was never told it was an option. Second heater pump was replaced but I was charged a "warranty service fee" of $45 and for mileage. I asked why I was charged and was told that they decided to add the fees to all warranty work, I stated that was fine for new customers but that they had to honor my original warranty. It took several phone calls and a few letters stating that I would take legal action before they would drop the charges. Even though I have two years remaining on my warranty, I will not go back to them for service, it is not worth my time, I will have other companies perform the work at full price. I will never purchase from them again. Also, I asked several times for the reason why they thought they could change my warranty.

We had a wonderful experience and are happy that we purchased from Carefree Spas.

They stayed open after hours to give us time to make a decision. They were very nice (for the most part we did not feel pressured). The gave us a nice price on our old hot tub and hauled it away (at no extra charge) when they delivered and setup the new one (also at no extra charge). They were wonderful.

The owner is wonderful in giving advice for care. He also gave a free estimate on the hot tub cover after the hailstorm.

I went to the Home Show to see all of the new things for my home, and I happened to stop at the Sundance Booth. I met John Dyrdra and talked about the different spas available at the show and the advantages and disadvantages of each. I ended up walking out of the show with an unplanned purchase that they financed right there at the show. The Spa arrived on time as promised. The installers were quick and efficient, and went over the procedures and care guide in detail. The thing that I like most about the Sundance Spa is their filtration system. It filters the water even when the pumps are running full tilt unlike some of the other spas. It doesnt need as many chemicals as my old Royal Spa because of this filtration. I didnt know this until I did some research, but each human in a hot tub excretes 1/2 cup of sweat each half hour spent in the tub. Yuck!

I had a very good experience with this company. My only regret is I didn't go with them the first time. The only problem I had was they didn't show up during the window I was given, so I had to call and question when they were coming. There was some office mix up, and someone came out right away. The man diagnosing the problem knew within minutes I had a problem with my flow switch. He was clearly an expert with Sundance hot tubs. He quickly fixed the problem and then was willing to give me a hot tub maintenance crash course. He answered every question I asked, and I asked a lot. Their cost is a little high but well worth it.

Great to deal with Jeff Mcguire - very helpful and explained how easy it is to change the switch. I would highly recommend talking to Jeff - he will give you honest advice and not try to sell you service or something you don't need. Thanks Jeff.
