I have used Butler M-K for many years for furnace tune ups, new thermostat installation and A/C repair. I have always been happy with their work and price. However, this time they let me down by charging $200 to repair a hole in a cold air return. They added what looks to be about a 12" x 18" panel of sheet metal and caulked. I am happy with the work but not with the price.

Butler was contacted through my AHS contract after another company failed to resolve the issues with my furnace. They contacted me same day, arrived timely the next day as scheduled, identified the problem within 30 minutes! They then arranged for the parts and returned that afternoon to make the necessary repairs. I only wish they had been contacted initially and then I wouldn’t have been without heat for almost a week over New Years!

I had them do a home warranty service. So I did not have to pay anything. I would use them in the future, and recommend them for other people to use.

Two technicians came out today, 35 minutes late and without the promised warning call. Both techs reeked of cigarettes, were not wearing clean looking clothes, were not wearing name tags, and did not offer to wear booties or remove their work boots before entering the home. They spent an little over an hour and were unable to find anything to that would cause the problem. When I asked questions I was spoken to in a rude and condescending manner. The technicians left without leaving an invoice so i called to office to find out what the next step was. The office staff was just as unfriendly. Long story short - call someone else!!!

The price included a plan that covered doing the furnace then and covering the air conditioning later, which I need to call them about any second now. Make clear that, that covered two things. We have had the same guy the last few times, he has been really good. Partly, I think their price is a little high for I mean $255 to do two checkups and I don't think that includes filters if you need them.

They ended up being almost an hour late and I had to continuously reach out to the company to try and get an update. Once the tech arrived we explained our concerns and we immediately sensed that he did not care about the things on our list. Only about 20 minutes later he came back with a clean bill of health for our system and proceeded to rush out the door. Soon after he left, we discovered that our sytem was completly unoperable. Come to find out he left the systems power supply in the off position, once again showing us the lack of attention to detail. We have since gotten two other inspections by separate contractors and both have verified our concerns(freon was low and a leak identified/blower needing to be replaced) which should have been taken care of by Butler M-K. We will never use this company again.

They were able to fix our issue. There was not a problem with my interaction with them. They were good, other than the guy tracked mud through a couple of places in the house that I needed to clean, but other than that it was good. To do better in the future they could make sure they kept their feet clean that day.

Dean was awesome, and easy to talk to. I'm always curious what's happening. I explained to him what was going on, and he explained why my blower motor wasn't coming on, and that a small capacitor was the cause. Easy fix, was in and out in 20 minutes. I was able to make it home on my lunch break, have the issue fixed and was back at the office in plenty of time. Will definitely hire again.

This has to be one of the best HVAC companies in the Indianapolis area. They are immediately responsive, get quotes on work right away and always do a quality first class job. Their pricing is fair and they always exceed my expectations. I also have highly recommended to my real estate clients and they are always happy with their service. Whether is just cleaning your HVAC system semi-annually or installing new systems you can trust this family owned company to do the very best job possible. If you have an emergency in the middle of the night they will also be there for you. Sam, Gabe, and their team are incredible. Use them -- you will not be disappointed.

Dave and Ted installed the Dukane air conditioner in an afternoon. They were courteous and competent. The new AC runs less and cools much better than my old unit.

This in an incredible company -- family owned and operated. They are customer focused and always do a perfect job. The company, management, owners and technicians always deliver as promised and are always on time. Very professional in every regard. They are also always available for emergency repairs and services and are able to diagnosis and correct and problems. You will not find a better HVAC company in Indianapolis. Ask for Sam or Gabe if you want the best HVAC specialists in Indianapolis.

Everything went well on Butler M-K's end. We were held up for longer than we wanted to be due to poor customer service on the part of our home warranty policy. But the Butler M-K folks were very prompt, pleasant and our furnace seems to be working very well. Luckily, our insurance paid most of the above listed cost and we had to pay for a difficult install fee because the serviceman had to take out and then reinstall the water heater that was in front of the furnace. We were really happy overall with their service and would use them again.

The repairman came out in a pick-up truck which meant he had no parts with him to fix my air conditioning. I was told I needed a new motor and they would order one. This was Tuesday and the motor was suppose to be in on Thursday and its not. I was told it would be in on Friday and its not. When I called to ask about the part the man on phone was rude and very unprofessional. My home warranty company has tried to call and send and e-mail but has had no response. I would never use this company. I'm still without air.

"It is unfortunate Mrs. {Member's name removed} was without air. We had to special order the motor in being an OEM motor(has to be specific for that make of equipment). We got the motor and Mrs {Member's name removed} decided to go outside of AHS and get someone on here own to fix it. We at Butler wish we could have fixed the AC for her. Best of luck to Mrs.{Member's name removed} in her future HVAC needs."

Butler MK Heating and Cooling came out to fix my central air conditioning today. They were sent through my home warranty company, American Home Shield. I am fairly new to using home warranties, and was a little worried because I've heard stories that it may take providers a few days to come out if it's through a home warranty company. Not the case. I put in the order around 1:30 PM today and they were at my place by 4:45 PM. I was so grateful they were able to come out the same day. Thankfully it was a fairly easy fix, though one that I never would have figured out myself. The service man was such a nice guy, and once again, I was so grateful that he was able to solve the problem and get the a/c going. I really appreciate their help.
