BUDDY'S CARPET-WEST

The service was excellent. I loved the carpeting they installed. The price was very fair for the quality of the carpet. I have recommended them to my own customers.

I was very pleased with the service I got.

I am happy with the carpet and installation. However, I believe the price was a little high for the moving of the furniture, but I did not have time to shop around. It was a quality installation and I would hire them again.

The installation went as planned. About six months later the linoleum began lifting up at the edges. These problems were not in high traffic areas. We called Buddy's and they sent out a repairman to fix the problem. After a few months, the same problem recurred. We again called and a repairman came out. Now the problem is occurring again, but when we called to have it fixed, we were informed that Buddy's was under new ownership and the new owners will not assume responsibility for "old" problems.

My husband visited their west side store, found out what was within our "insurance budget", inquired about carpets in stock vs special orders and how quickly they could finish out basement. They were simply amazing, even after I visited with them. We had our carpet installed within days and they did a great job.

I first met Chris Campbell, a salesman at Buddy's, 3 years ago when carpeting the whole house that I owned at that time. I was so impressed with his knowledge, character, and customer service that I kept his card and contacted him when we decided to get new carpeting for our current home. He had changed locations and even though we live on the south side, we went to the west side so we could deal with Chris. He is very knowledgeable about all the lines of products and could help with how they will wear in real world use. He is a pleasure to do business with.

Pricing was little high.

Steve, the representative for Buddy's, came on time for our appointment at our house. He brought samples of carpets that I indicated an interest in. He scheduled the installation and took accurate measurements. The men showed up for the installation at the scheduled time and cleaned up after themselves after the work was done. They were polite and did a wonderful job. I have already recommended Buddy's (38th St) to a friend and if I need additional carpet they will be my first choice.

THEY HAD A DELIVERY PROBLEM WITH A TRUCK OUT OF CINCINNATI, BUT MANAGED TO RESCHEDULE PROMPTLY. THE INSTALLERS WORKED LATE INTO THE EVENING THE NEXT DAY, ON OVERTIME. IT WORKED OUT PRETTY WELL, AND THE CARPET LOOKS GOOD. 1700 SQ FT. FOR $2500....UNDER $1.50/FT. INSTALLED.

PROCESS BEGAN SMOOTHLY AND PROFESSIONALLY. BUT INSTALLER WAS RUDE AND CONDENSENDING. AFTER MEASURING, PRICE WAS HIGHER THAN QUOTE. CARPET WAS NOT GOING TO BE FOR ANOTHER MO. ENDED UP CANCELLING ORDER. MONEY WAS RETURNED.
