BUDDY'S CARPET & FLOORING

After going into the store to "look" at carpet, we decided that based on the estimate we received we were interested in having them install new carpet in our home. Based on our schedule, they came out a couple of days later and did an in-home estimate, which coincided with the rough estimate we received in the store. We agreed on a final price and then had the carpet installed a few days later (again b/c of our schedule). My husband was at our house when the carpet was installed and said the crew was quick and efficient. We were very satisfied with the installation and look of the new carpet. We had originally had another carpet company come to our house and give us an estimate. Their estimate was more than double what Buddy's gave us. Chris Campbell is great!

Went to showroom and chose flooring, salesperson wouldn't take our money that day. She sent out an employee to measure. He ordered the flooring and it was delivered within a few days. Contractors came to our home to install. After one day the majority of the work was complete. The contractors did leave quite a mess behind, and never came back to install some trim (approx 6 feet) or clean up. After the fact the manager of Buddy's called to raise the price. Apparently the original salesperson estimated wrong, and never called us to let us know of the problem. We were able to resolve the problem with the manager.

Our overall experience with Buddy's was horrible. The first time that we went into the store we finalized a carpet purchase with the store manager Danny. An hour after we returned home we were contacted by Danny and told that he had to refund our money and cancel the carpet deal. He stated that he had given us the carpet below cost. We went in a second time to finalize the deal, of course costing more money. We scheduled installation. We were told that it would take 2 days. It actually took 6. Their installers would show up and work for about an hour and then leave or they just didn't show up at all. The were supposed to move the furniture and refused, so my husband and mother in law had to do it. They also had to prep the floors in three areas and remove most of the carpet themselves. It was a total nightmare. We asked for our money to be refunded for the removal of the carpet and the furniture moves and they gave us a credit of $60.89. We will never use them again.

Customer service by Becky Graves is excellent. She spends a lot of time figuring how to use the carpet best for least square footage. She came immediately to measure my family room herself, to assure the carpet would be installed by the date required (2 days later). The installers were quite knowledgeable and professional. They did a good job, and the carpet looks great.
