The demolition of the old concrete and paver patio took a lot of work. Brian advised us on the design of the patio as well as the fence. He kept up the schedule. Very thoughtful and professional. Brian is a hardworker. We will use his service again.

Brian did a great job with the design and construction of our patio and walkway.  The project was completed late and Brian did extra work for us to compensate which we appreciated.  The patio is lovely and many comment on how nice it is.  Brian is a pleasure to work with.

Went well once we got him here.  Hard to schedule.  Patio looks great.  Left material in front yard...not good.  Cleaned up when called and seeded around new patio.  Very nice guy.

Brian did an excellent design for a fairly tight space that included a bump out for the grill that keeps it out of the way. Completing the project took somewhat longer than anticipated, but Indiana weather is so unpredictable. We are very pleased.

The guy showed on time and gave us some ideas for planting some perennials.  He told us he would drop off a plan in a few days.   We had to call a few times before we got a hand drawn sketch of our existing beds with plants in it.  The sketch did not really help us much. 

We called Brian Budde and asked for an estimate.  We scheduled a date and time and that's when he showed up.  We explained that we  needed a landscape design that included plants/trees and some hardscape.  He came back a few days later with a great design and ideas for how to incorporate steps and at what intervals to allow building the firepit area as well as plant/tree options to compliment our house and existing landscape.  He listened to us, shared his ideas and if he disagreed with us, he suggested we wait to see the progress and better understand his perspective.  His experience with not only plant knowledge and engineering was impressive, but what set him apart from others we have worked with over the years is appreciation of design, color integration in the space and budget we had.
Brian works by himself which may appear to elongate the time to finish (it took him about 3 weeks but his work was hampered by frequent rainy days), this actually works to the homeowner's benefit.  We could see the daily progress, appreciate what we might want to change and then have time to discuss our thoughts with Brian while the project was underway.  It always gets more expensive when changes are made to a project, but Brian was able to incorporate our feedback and even discuss additional options without having to re-do any work.  A win-win for homeowner and contractor!
In summary, Brian is definitely someone I want working with me to improve my outdoor space in the future.  His sense of style, wide-based understanding in landscaping and hardscaping and his consistent work-style makes him a valuable partner around the house!

Brian did all the work himself so it is quality work all the way. He tore out the old patio and then put in a beautiful brick paver patio. He raised the whole patio area so that it fixed our problem of needing an additional step out the back door. Brian had great ideas on how to lay the design out but still incorporated some of ours. The whole process took less than a week and it is a rather large patio area and the weather was not cooperating. The whole process went very smooth and we are very pleased with how it looks. He even leveled everything out around the patio so when he was finished - it looked great. He was very careful in protecting our driveway and grass through the process. Very happy and would use him again if we ever needed additional work.

He built the paver patio, removed an old sidewalk and trimmed the edge of my driveway next to my wrought iron fence to create a bedding area.

Brian completed hardscape job along with natural stone steps & fire pit and does phenomenal work. This is the second house he's done for us and couldn't ask for more honest hard-working man. Great quality, great price.

Brian is both a fantastic designer and a superb craftsman! He combines art & engineering to create beautiful results! We love our new front porch and back yard patio! It's amazing!

We contacted Brian to provide an estimate for installing a paver patio off the back of our home based on positive feedback from a couple of neighbors who he had performed work for.  We had some ideas about what we wanted, but didn't have any definite plan in mind.  We were also restricted as to how far back we could build from our house due to drainage easements.  When Brian came to give us an estimate, he was able to visualize a patio in the space and draw a rough sketch up for us that night.  He was never pushy about trying to get us to add more than we wanted, which we really appreciated.  He really listened to our needs and wants and came up with a design that met and even exceeded them.  We were impressed with his vision of how we could maximize our limited space and have a really nice patio that wouldn't eat up our entire yard.
He installed the patio on his own, unassisted, over the course of a week and a half.  He removed sod, brought in all the materials, built the patio from the ground up, installed lights under the edges of the steps, and prepped two beds on either side of the patio for future planting.  He was very methodical and exhibited a great attention to detail every step of the way.  His clean-up when the project was finished was very thorough and detailed as well.  
There were only a couple of minor glitches - weather related and paver supplier related - that added the extra half week on to installation.  
Brian was extremely professional from beginning to end and was a pleasure to work with.  You can tell he takes great pride in his work.  We are beyond thrilled with the look and quality of the finished product.  We look forward to working with him again on landscaping projects in the future.

I have had my pond for 10 years and felt like we were losing too much water for it to be evaporation. I thought it was time to rebuild it. Brian worked with our  vision of how we felt it should look, and the results far exceeded our expectations.
I should point out that I have used Brian in the past, and over the years he has been very accomodating to our needs and budget constraints.
Currently, We are planning a fire pit,  and natural gas grill to have a rock enclosure. We will most likely hire Brian to do the work.

They have come here two or three times. They are not taking my calls nor are they calling me back. I am very dissatisfied as I cannot get hold of them.

They are not responding to my phone calls as far back as September 20th 2010. I called before that but he said that he would come back but he never did. Most of the time now, he doesn?t answer the phone. The most recent time I called him was 3/19/2012.  I went to the Farm and Patio show and I went to his booth and he never came. There was a young lady there and so I spoke with her and I gave her my information and asked her to have him call me. Of course he never did.  

We felt like he did a great job when the project was complete. It is the fact that he doesn?t stand by his workmanship that is what bothering us. He worked his tail off for us but I wish he would have come back to fix a few of the things that went wrong. I cannot figure out for the life of me why he wouldn?t come back and fix these few minor things. He has told me that he would fix things but he has not followed through. I would never use him again or recommend him to anyone because of this problem. If you do use his service, I would recommend getting a written warranty for any work performed.

Over the past three years I have had issues with weeds, settling and loose step that I have reported to Brian Budde his reponse was slow and usually driven by me calling the commercial paver supplier that recommended him in the first place. He has made several promises such as dates he would be there to perform the repairs that were not met, and only showed up later after I continued to call and get  the commercial contact who recommened him envolved. I still have issues and he has not followed through with the fixes he agreed to. This is a prime example of why people should with hold a retainer on a project.

They did an excellent job and did exactly what I wanted. They were lot cheaper than other people. I was very happy with them. They came back and did some additional landscaping for me. They provided warranty on the plants and they were healthy looking plants. They came when they said they would. They knew what they were talking about and answered all my questions. They are in this business for about 20 years. I would use them again in future.

The project went great. Brian said the job would take 4 weeks and I think it went 2 days over because we asked him to install an additional wall going down the driveway. We selected Budde Landscaping after talking to a number of other contractors and evaluating their proposals. We went to the Indy home show, visited several local landscape block and stone suppliers and researched the top 5 paver/block manufactures on the internet. Brian and 2 workers arrived every morning, worked hard all day, and left late in the afternoon after cleaning up the work area. The project required the removal of 25 ft. of concrete steps and landing areas, a 10 ft. by 5 ft. brick wall, and many large limestone rocks. Some of these rocks weighed over 200 lbs. and had to be dug out from below ground level. Brian and his crew also removed 5 tree stumps prior to laying the patio floor and steps. The project was completed on time because the workers worked hard, were very organized, and the weather cooperated.
