Brown's Construction

My home was built in 1928, which can often times make repairs challenging for contractors and myself. It was not a large job but was causing some headaches. His crew was on time, very efficient and they were able to salvage the gutters which was a big cost saver for me as they were just replaced in 2007. They cleaned up quickly and gave me a quick explanation of what they did and why. They let me know they used longer wood screws to attach the boards as the wood on my home is older and not as sturdy in places. The crew worked together well as a team which made the repairs quick and painless for me

Inspection went well.  We wanted to use them for roof replacement due to hail damage.  The provider has not returned calls.  We have called them approximately 10 times since July.  There is no response.  The last straw was a telephone call from them asking if we were interested in using them for roof repair and the caller had no idea we needed a return call from them.

Brown Construction Did a Great Job, this is a huge project

that involved work on several buildings.  Ian did a great job of

coordinating with me, the times he would arrive on the property and which

buildings he would be working on.

They were very fast with getting the roofs completed.  These are older

buildings 1973, which some had 3 layers of shingles to tear off.  He was

able to complete 4 roofs in a matter of 2-3 days.

They did a great job, I did not have any complaints.

The project started well; however, the project was not actively managed by the construction company and the homeowner had to assume the role of project manager.  Poor communication by the construction company and lower than expected overall quality of the project.  Would not recommend Brown Construction to anyone!

Went well. Ian, Matt, and Jerry did a good job finishing the project. They have very good people working for them who are professional and very good at what they do. I would emphasize the use of their painters, drywall people and tile sub contractors.

They never really completed the job as I thought they should. I did end up getting the situation resolved but only after involving the BBB.

I got an initial estimate from him in July but also called other contractors over the summer. I called Ian back in September, finalized an agreement the same day, and work started within 2 weeks (some weather delays.) He had other jobs going at the same time which affected daily punctuality somewhat, but he still got mine done reasonably quickly and worked around my schedule when necessary. He didn't try to sell me what I didn't need/want and followed up promptly on a couple of small things that needed attention before expecting payment. He was eager to please.
