I love Broad Ripple Canine Design (and so do my dogs!). I have complete confidence in the owners and groomers. I've been having my dogs groomed here for years, and have recommended BRCD to my friends. I have a older Shih Tzu and a rescue Cavalier King Charles, and they both seem happy to go to get groomed at "the spa" as I call it, and they look great afterwards. I always feel my pups are in good hands at BRCD!

I have driven past this salon many times and heard a few good reviews from friends, so decided to give it a shot. Unfortunately I waited around for an entire day only to be called at the last minute and told they would not groom my dog because he's "too old." I had an appointment for the Friday before Christmas for a bath and nail trim for my senior dog. It was our first time going to this salon, which I informed them when I made the appointment. They asked no other questions about him except his name and breed. When I arrived to drop him off at 8:45 AM, I met with the groomer, Sarah, and let her know he is not dog friendly. She was concerned he would need to stay in a kennel all day and asked if I could bring him back later that afternoon when she was finished with her other clients and she would take care of him then. That sounded better for my dog, so I happily agreed. She had no other concerns about grooming him, mentioned how sweet he was and how quick it'd be to give him a bath, and promised to call me back by 2 PM. At 3 PM I still hadn't heard from her so I called back to ask what time to bring him - she said 4 PM. At 3:55 PM, literally as I was about to pull into the parking lot, I received a call from the front desk that they would not be able to groom my dog because he is a senior and "poses a liability." I was told that I could contact the owner after the holidays to file a formal complaint. The owner called me about an hour later and said the reason they couldn't see my dog is because he isn't dog friendly. She then determined that the groomer probably had too many clients because it was right before Christmas and they were super busy. She continued to go on and on about how her staff should have asked me for more information before making the appointment, they should have called me back on time, and frankly should have never agreed to see him in the first place. Basically I received several different reasons from multiple people but none of their stories lined up. Unfortunately she never offered me any kind of solution, like inviting me to come back to make things right. I spent my entire day waiting around for the groomer to call me back, drove to the salon twice for no reason, and was left at 4 PM on a Friday with no other options to take him somewhere else. The staff and owner are clearly in need of some additional professional training and customer service skills - definitely wouldn't recommend them and certainly not if you have a dog that is "too old" or not dog friendly as that seems to be more than they can accommodate.

I usually go every six weeks. They charge different prices depending on the size of the dog. They are wonderful. I go to Tracy all of the time. They have been there for years and everybody loves that place. I have nothing bad to say about them.

Drop off and pick up were fine. Grooming was horrible and painful to my dog. They cut his ears and rear end. He was bleeding on his rear when I picked him up. They tried to say he was biting himself. He was not, it was razor marks. Woman handed me back $20 to go down the street to buy him a cone so he wouldn't mess with it and told me to put on antibiotic ointment. After I got home, I found that both ears had been bleeding as well and had scabs. He also had skin cut on one of his nipples. However, there were big tufts of hair on his feet that I had to trip with scissors my self. And his eyebrows were uneven! My dog was totally traumatized for 2 days. The woman called me after I left and said she would call me the next 2 days to make sure he was okay - this demonstrates, in my opinion, that the place felt responsible for his cuts as they should, however, she NEVER called to check on him as she promised. He has some matting around the neck and on his legs and belly. They shaved him totally, which was not necessary. I took him to another groomer the next day that told me more hair could have been left on him.

Their place is not that attractive and they just didn't do a very good job. I didn't like their expertise on grooming the dog.

Curt is a lifesaver! I've loved Canine Design since my vet suggested them a few years back. He recommended them because my puppy wasn't a fan of the groomer. They've always been extremely gentle with her and are very sincere. The staff are always nice and welcoming. In one particular case Curt was able to squeeze Daisie in for an emergency and cause me a lot LESS heartache. You're silly to not take your fur-baby there.

I have a Wheaten Terrier. I took her in to see Shellie. She was a bit matted in her beard area. Shellie called midway through her grooming and left me a message on my voicemail telling me that she may have to shave her beard off. Well to my surprise when I picked her up she still had her beard. Shellie told me she worked really h****** saving her beard for me. She looked amazing. She is by far one of the best groomer's I have ever used. I will continue to use Shellie from here on out. I totally recommend K9 Design and Shellie as well. Thank you Shellie!!!!

Went great. Our dog looks like a million bucks after Amy (hope that I spelled it ok) groomed our dog. Great people, wonderful grooming, decent price.

Today was my second time to take my huskies for grooming. I love Kurt. He is knowledgeable and does a terrific job. My female hates having her nails done and she talks and tries to jump off the table. Kurt is so patient with her. He does the nails last when we pick her up so that we can help calm her. Everyone is very kind and I would highly recommend them to anyone.
The price is in line with what I paid for grooming other places. I think it is $10 more but it is soooo worth it to pick up dogs who are not stressed and have been treated well. The last place we took our dogs thought that muzzling a stressed out husky who was vocalizing was the way to handle things. I am so grateful that I found Broad Ripple Canine Design on Angie's List. Kurt is a godsend.

Curt was my groomer. He is knowledgeable about collie grooming and made some suggestions to help my dog get used to the groomer. Even though my dog didn't need a lot of hair brushed out, he got a bath and brush and mats removed. He looked great when I picked him up. I will definitely take my dog there for another grooming.

Everyone was very friendly. When I picked up the dog, she was very well-groomed. We plan to go back.

I went in to check out the shop Wednesday and made an appointment for Thursday morning. I explained I was hoping that my old dogs wouldn't have to be there all day, and I was told that they would expedite the service as well as they could. I dropped them off Thursday at 9 am and they were done around 11. The shop was clean, everything went smoothly, and we'll definitely be going back.

They do a great job. It is a bit pricey but the quality is so good that I wouldn't take him anywhere else. The staff is nice and very good about getting done on time. I have taken him there near closing and they are always very receptive and kind.
