Bone Dry Roofing

They were great. I was actually living in another town when they did work on my place. The communication was excellent. They took care of a lot of things without me being there. They let me know step by step the process. They certainly made some recommendations and actually did some repair work that they didn’t charge me for because they didn’t give it to me in my initial estimate. There were some additional things that they did that were not quoted on the roof and they didn’t charge me for it. I thought that was very nice. The insurance paid the amount. Their service was good. I will use their services again in the future.

It went great! I couldn't be more pleased with the service. Chad was a few minutes early for the scheduled estimate. When he discovered the problem, he replaced the leaky gasket then and there, free of charge. The whole thing took 15 minutes.

They did a wonderful job. They were timely and efficient. I would have them do it again.

I spent $15000 on that work. They were great. They had a lot of people who come out and it was done quickly. They did it really well and amazingly fast. They had the roof torn off and new one put on in 2 days. It looks great and they tried their best to match the paint of the gutters to the house.

The Bone Dry Roofing people arrived at scheduled time and went right to work. This was a smooth-running team. They protected plants, windows, doors sufficiently. This was not a gang of shingle nailers. It was not just a crew. It was an experienced TEAM and everyone knew what to do, when to do it, and how to do it as if the job at our house was specifically choreographed and rehearsed earlier. Some boards needed to be removed, measurements were called down, cuts were made, boards put in place and nailed, all within minutes of the need for each piece. All the shingles are straight and appear perfect. Re-flashed skylight areas. The new ridge vent looks great. Overall about 40 squares. All of this done and completed within about 12 hours on what turned out to be a pretty pleasant day of weather. A final return the next day to find and pick up loose nails and replace one end cap on a gutter. They did it all and they did it well. We are very impressed and pleased with the service and hard work of our replacement roof by Bone Dry Roofing. I set up my camera in my front yard to take photos every five minutes and it was fun to watch this whole project begin, progress, and end with a great-looking roof after everyone left. I think photos of the back would have been more interesting due to work around skylights, but the front was where most of the traffic and action took place. 12 hours of photos at 5-minute intervals...not to monitor, but to play back and have fun seeing the whole transformation unfold. This was not an insurance-covered job. It was entirely out-of-pocket and we believe we got a great job for OUR money. THANK YOU.

Professional and first class in all respects. The estimate was scheduled and the appointment was kept- the estimate was thoughtful and fairly priced. The work was then scheduled, which was done in a first class fashion. I would highly recommend this firm.

We discovered the problem in the spring when there was strong rains. I am sure this is a busy time for them but they were prompt at coming out and analyzing the problem and was able to fix it within a week. Because of the rains they came out as soon as there was a dry time. I waited to report on this because I wanted to be sure the problem was fixed after additional rain storms. We have not had any leaks since this was fixed. We had used them before on our prior house. Other companies thought they fixed the problem but only Bone Dry truly fix the problem. I highly recommend this company.

Our roof and insulation installation went well and as planned. The roofers also did a good job cleaning up after themselves. The real issue came with our gutter installation. This was outsourced to The Gutter Guy. When the installers arrived, they pulled their truck and trailer right on and through our front yard, even though there was plenty of driveway space in close proximitiy. They left numerous gutter spikes and nails throughout our yard, driveway, and even on the porch roof. I've had to clean all of this up personally. After the gutter installers left on Thursday (this was after rescheduling the job twice) I noticed a couple of hours later that there were no extensions put on the downspouts. I previously had 4 ft extensions there to usher water away from the house and basement. I notified Bone Dry on that Thursday (same day as install) and they said they would add those on. By the following Monday, this was still not added and we received quite a lot of rain and the downspouts poured water into our basement. We literally had to use buckets and push brooms to get the water out and usher it away. I've never had my basement flood until I got new gutters. The installer came out that Monday to add the extensions and blamed me for not noticing this while he was there. Not only did I get to pay for the work, but apparently I was also supposed to be the expert. Ryan as the project manager was very nice to deal with. I later received a call from Ben in the gutter department who apologized. He said he'd drop off two $50.00 visa gift cards within the next day to help offset. Ben was very nice as well. Overall I would not recommend using Bone Dry for gutters and definitely not The Gutter Guy. We have more projects to do, but this has definitely deterred me away from being a repeat user.

We were very happy with our experience. It was tricky to pick a day to install the roof in the midst of all the rain we were having this spring. The communication from the Bone Dry crew Supervisor was excellent. They talked to us on a daily basis and made sure to pick a day when the threat of rain was gone so we didn't run into problems when putting on the roof. Once we got a dry day, they sent a good sized crew out to make sure they could finish the job.

It went wonderfully, although I ended up using a different company for garage door replacement.

Overall roofing job was fine and we were satisfied with the roof. The problem arose 6 months later. With all the spring rain, we noticed that our downspouts were not draining properly and our sump pump back-up overflow drain was working a lot. We called our plumber (Ciriello Plumbing) and a plumber came out with a camera to check our downspouts and guttering. Through the camera he could see roofing material blocking the downspouts. He cleaned out the materials. We had the gutters cleaned in the fall by our landscape company, Lemcke Landscape, but I assume they could not see or reach the roofing materials in the downspouts. We called Bone Dry to explain and the customer service person did not feel they should help us with the cost of the plumber and downspout clearing. My husband discussed this with him at length and was told that it was not their fault. We disagree. We had no idea that roofing material could end up in our downspouts. We have never replaced a roof before. We would think that professional roofers who deal with this daily could anticipate such a problem, take the necessary precautions, and flush the downspouts with water after the roofing job is completed. We think it is only fair that they assume some, if not all, the costs associated with having the plumber correct the problem. We are very lucky that it did not result in water in our basement or something much more costly to fix. Edited 9/13/11 : They have resolved the situation to our satisfaction.

We could not be happier with the excellent followup service from Bone Dry. It was unfortunate that the leaks occurred, but when notified, they took immediate action to fix the roof and the damaged interior area. They pulled everything off the wall to expose the entire damaged area and then repaired it completely at no cost to us. It's as good as new and looks great. Tina from Bone Dry did great work. They truly do stand behind their work. I selected them because they've been in business for a long time and have an excellent reputation to maintain. I strongly recommend them.

The roofer was on time. As there was only one roofer, it did take him most of the day. The roofer was efficient and polite. The roofer covered the ground with a tarp in the area he was working and left the area clean from any debris.

The quality of their work was very good. I will recommend them to others.

They started exactly when they said they would start, and the price was exactly what they quoted me. They were very cordial and there was no pressure. They cleaned up everything. The roof looks great. It has been in great shape except for a little hail a couple of days ago. The work was covered by my insurance. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

I thought they did a good job of communicating and scheduling. The work turned out good too.

Their price was low and they did a great job! They even had to do less than they originally thought they would need to do. I really appreciated their honesty. Their office staff left a little to be desired, but the salesman I spoke with answered all of my questions and did it with a smile on his face! I even complimented him to his boss. I have referred them to several people.

I hired them to do some repair on my roof and siding due to rotted wood. They came out in early June. I got cancelled on many, many, many times before then. A few of the times were because of the rain. When they did finally come, they never finished the job. About 2 inches from the roof, it had mold stains on the wood, which I didn’t mind if they didn’t replace it wasn’t rotted through and I didn’t see it at the time, but I did tell them to replace whatever needed to be replaced. So they replaced some, but they peeled off the caulking all the way down and they only caulked up to where they replaced the wood So there was much of my roof where the caulking is now gone. There was another area on my roof they were supposed to replace. When I called Tim Jones, who did the estimate, he knew they would miss that part of my roof and he said he’d send them out as soon as possible. Two weeks passed and no one came. I called again and he said someone came last Saturday, and I was there all day that Saturday to know that no one came. After a few more hours someone else called me back and said they’d be out that afternoon to look at what they needed to do. Yet, again, they didn’t come out that afternoon. They did it the following day, when I was out of my home. They came and finished the job, except they never painted my siding. I asked when they were going to paint and they said they weren’t going to paint because it wasn’t in the estimate. I would think that since my siding was being repaired, the paint would be included so it would match. I was very happy with them twice before, they finished the job fully at those times. I just assumed it would be the same the third time, since I was happy with the first two. I didn’t really pay attention as much to my estimate since I trusted them and now my siding is not painted. They also trampled on all my plants in the shady part of my backyard. I’m not here to talk badly about Bone Dry, as they did fantastic work the first two times I hired them. I was just disappointed this last time with their work.

I received an estimate from a very nice guy from Bone Dry Roofing for a leak in my roof. He said it was the flashing around my chimney, and wanted $1200 to re-do it. He also recommended that there was a coupon on Angie's List that I could use. I almost hired them, when a friend recommended Hughes Top Choice Roofing. I decided to have Dion Hughes take a look. He provided pictures of the chimney, saying the flashing was fine. He said the problem was that the mortar between the bricks was pretty bad - again pictures that proved he was right! This made absolutely sense, since the water in the basement was not on the outside of the bricks, but must be leaking down the inside. He charged me $300 to repair the mortar. I gave him a $50 tip for saving me so much time, and for knowing what he's doing! Bone Dry didn't know what they were doing, although their salespeople are nice. Dion gave the estimate AND did the work.

They are professional. The guy that came out gave a thorough estimate and also the one that came out to supervise were very professional and very polite. There was very little debris in the yard. There were some little pieces of cellophane, and I think we found a couple of nails and that would be it. We have a big roof. They did a very good job of cleaning up.

I contacted Bone Dry to get a roofing and gutter estimate. I was impressed with their responsiveness untill I asked to see roofing samples. I told them I was pretty much ready to pull the trigger to get the job started, and similar to other reviews you'll see here, this is where the responsiveness ended. I've never been contacted since. Now I will be looking for a new roofer. Now seeing I've had the same problem as other reviewers here, I think it's a systemic problem Bone Dry seems to have with their team.

They did a wonderful job. The price was very good. We had replaced the roof twice during hail damage. We had a problem when the house was initially built. Every time they re-roofed it was like they never quite got everything done. There were apparently problems with the flashing and drainage. Bone Dry fixed it the first time. They did a very accurate estimate. They said that they would know if there are any additional damage only after they tear down that portion of the roof and that it might increase the price. Luckily there was no other damage, but they were upfront and let us know that there could be some cost increase. They explained everything and did a very thorough job and made sure that we understood.

They did excellent work. They were quick and efficient. They had put on the originally roof so they came and did all of the repairs for free. They fixed my ceilings and you would never know that they were ever damaged.

They were terrible. The guy said he thought he saw something wrong in the attic and they said we didn’t have enough insulation. We had two other people come out who said that was not true. My husband too went on the attic and saw that was not true. Other people have also told me not to call Bone Dry for my roofing. They do have a wonderful record on Angie’s list. I thought we had to do a service that was not necessary. We are older people and retired. I felt like we were taken advantage of. I thought they did the work properly on only one thing. We were misled about the attic. They told us if we don’t get it done, our roof will rot. We were very misled about the work that didn’t need to be done. We would have done it if it had to be done. We had some other contractors come out and the builder too was here, my husband too went up with them and so we knew that what they said was not true. I’ve had other people tell me not to call them. They had a great reputation on Angie’s list. I haven’t compared their prices to anyone else. They came out right away. I would not use their services again in the future.

They were fantastic. They fixed a few shingles and seals on our roof along with a shutter.
