BDR did an outstanding job on this chimney replacement. We called them in because we noticed evidence of a leak on our fireplace. Ed Laplante of BDR Masonry, who responded to our call, came out and did a thorough investigation as to the cause. He really performed more like a consultant than a salesman, though he did not charge us for his expertise. He investigated several possible causes and solutions to the leak. He determined that the chimney was in bad condition. It had no maintenance since it was build 50 years ago, and did not have the recommended crown to keep moisture from condensing and running down the side of thechimney. The workmen came right on time and did a very good job. The finished work looks very good. The leak was stopped. I expected some collateral damage due to the difficulty of demolishing the chimney and disposing of the waste material. I expected some gouging of the roof shingles or a few bricks landing in the surrounding shrubbery and flower beds, but the workmen were very careful, and there was no damage. They also did a very good job of cleaning up and disposing of the debris. While they were working on our chimney, they noticed and alerted us to another area of the roof where the decking had been damaged due to water leakage. We hired another group within Bone Dry Roofing to take care of that. (Another Angie's List Report on that.) We were very pleased with the work that Bone Dry Roofing did on redesigning and replacing our leaking chimney.

The pricing was only a little bit more than average from all the estimates we received, but they were by far the most professional and knowledgeable, pointing out specific items in our roof that were bad and good. They detailed the costs of the bid and why they would replace what they would replace. When we decided to go with Bone Dry, the crew was professional and timely. The manager on-site told me that the owner drove by to check on the house and see how it was going. They finished on time and fixed a few unexpected items (rotten trim) for free. My neighbor, who works on chimneys, said he was impressed and happy to see that they correctly flashed around our chimney area (I would never have known if they did a good job or not). Overall they did a great job.

Completed job on time but had a leak the next rain. They came out repaired it and repaired the inside drywall promptly.

They did a good job with the roof.? However, when ice melts over my garage in the winter time,?it sometimes travels upwards underneath the shingles.? I would have preferred that they would have put more material under the shingles.

I first noticed water running behind the gutter and down the front of the house. Found the source of the problem was that the gutters in the middle of my ranch house were actually a touch higher than the shingles and caused the shingles to curl upwards and create a pool of water that then would find its way behind the gutters. The solution that the estimator from Bone Dry came up with was to pound down the back of the lip of the gutter to make it flush with the house and then replace the damaged first row of singles and install a new drip edge to help force the water to run off of the singles and down into the gutters. Also on the other side of the roof there was one of the decking boards sticking up causing a hump in the roof. This was completely repaired and a new 4? x 4? section of shingles were replaced. I received a written estimate for the work detailing everything out from estimator who came out and met with me. Then I faxed back the estimate and was told that someone would call to schedule the work within a week. I received a phone call a few days later telling me that someone could be out to my house and complete the work that very same day. I agreed and the job was completed while I was at work. I came home and reviewed the work and everything was done exactly as it was explained to me.

There estimate was very detailed & all of their personnel from sales, to job site managers, to the installers were all very professional. When they got to our house, they covered everything before they even started on removing our old roof from our landscaping, our deck and even all of our windows were covered with boards. The job was completed on time & their attention to detail on the clean-up was excellent. We did not find even one nail in either our front or back yard. We liked their work so much we had them come & repair our chimney & the front porch. That work was excellent as well!

We have not used them since the last big hailstorm. We were very pleased with the work they did for us then. Everything went very well. We have no complaints. They were here promptly. In fact at that time everybody were scrambling and trying to get people out to do the work. They got here and got it done way ahead for most of our neighborhood.

After providing a roof on my home, Bone Dry went to quote the roof for my elderly parents. Tyler H. accommodated our schedules by meeting me there in the evening. This roof job was a larger job, with damaged and leaking skylights. It was also an insurance job. Once again, Bone Dry was prompt, quick, attentive, and did a beautiful job. They helped my parents get their insurance paperwork submitted so they could recover costs. Bone Dry had already been paid, so this was an after-the-fact service. They were more than helpful. I can't say enough about the peace of mind I had in turning my parents, who are in their 80s and not particularly business savvy, over to Bone Dry. After meeting with their people, I knew I could trust them to take care of my parents. Thanks, Bone Dry, for making this process easy for them and me!!

They were great !! They returned all calls and showed when they said they would be at our house. Don Peters was great, he gave us a couple of options to fix where he thought the source of one leak was located. They also replaced the shingles around bathroom vent that was leaking. Had first major storms on 03/02/12 and not one leak in either locating. Can't say enough good things about them and would use them again. They also replace a piece of vinyl that had came off and broke and it match very close to original was 15 years old.

Had some shingles blow off during the recent wind storm. Since this roof was under warranty with Bone Dry, I called them out that morning and they came out that same morning and fixed the roof. Jim was very professional and fixed the problem with no issues. This is exactly why we chose this company because they stand behind their work.Not many roofers would come out within a few hours of a phone call. They are an excellent company to work with even after the work is completed.

I was very impressed with Bone Dry in every facet of our interaction. The sales representative was very professional and knowledgeable when he came to give the original estimate. He explained everything clearly and answered all my questions. There was no pressure to buy. He called back a week later and was very polite when I said we've decided to wait for the work, but will likely use his company in the future. 10 months later I called back, he came out to my house again and answered some more questions. They were very patient while my wife and I decided on what shingles to use. When the work was being done, the foreman answered all my many questions without complaint, and ensured that everything was being done properly. The head supervisor came to my house after the work was done and we did a thorough walk through/around to make sure everything was correct. I am very confidant that our roof will be leak free until it is time to replace these shingles in 20 years.

It went great. My interaction with everyone in the office was amazing, from the person who scheduled the appointment for less than 48 hours from my initial call, to the person who wrote up the estimate and talked me through it, to the person who did the work. The work was completed about a week ago, and I've received a follow up call, ensuring my satisfaction with the work, and the certificate of completion and explanation of coverage has arrived in the mail. I have used Bone Dry for small work in the past, have always been extremely pleased with their work - price, quality, everything.

We live in Zionsville and quoted three companies, Unique Home Solutions, ABC Roofing and Bone Dry. Unique Home Sol.was a nightmare, hardcore sales people, manipulative sales techniques and the highest price ($17,000 vs Bone Dry's $7,000 really!), ABC came out and did a thorough evaluation and then never sent the quote, they we're supposed to email it and didnt and never called to see if we received it. Bone Dry on the other hand was exceptional. Their representative Tyler H. showed up on time, had a pleasant non-sales attitude, answered all questions and never indicated any buying pressure. We recevied the quote on the spot, selected shingles and when we saw the pricing it was a no brainer! Again Bone Dry scheduled the work, came on time, did everything in terms of keeping our yard clean, competed all work that same day and then conducted a thorough walk through in which I was unable to find any errors or ommisions in thier work. We immediatley asked Tyler to call on our parents home for an estimate and now they're having thier roof done by Bone Dry and exclaim the same positive experience we have had. This company is not only a great roofing contractor but an example as to how a service business should operate. They provide their staff with great work tools and equipment, the site supervisor has authority to make on the fly changes to upgrade or purchase materials to get the job done right, they have a Qulaity Control system, great attitudes, safe, clean, on time and price competitive. It's no wonder they are #1 on Angie's List !

Bone Dry found the issue immediately, and explained everything to me thoroughly. They even offered to do a temporary repair the day I was given my estimate, because they weren’t able to perform work for a few weeks. When work was completed, I was given a senior citizen discount. Overall, I was really pleased with my experience.

They did a good job for me. I will use them again. I didn’t shop around much on the price but it was reasonable for the work that they did. That’s why I had them. I will use them again in the future if I need to.

Excellent. They finished in one day with the exception of one small area of ridge vent, which they finished two days later.

They did not fix it. It continued leaking and we had to have another company come out and repair it. Not knowing that they had not fixed the first leak we called them out to look at another leak and they refused to go and look at the roof inside the attic. You can't diagnose a leak without seeing. They have a good reputation for new roofing or re-roofing but they can not do repair work.

I was very satisfied with the outcome. Their customer service is excellent.
