Bone Dry Roofing

Great! First off, I was very impressed with John F. who worked with us, worked with our insurance Co., advised us well, and was very responsive to our needs. He did a great job. The siding went on without a problem and looks nice. There was one small flashing area that was missed. John acted quickly and got it done without a problem.

If I was just grading on the installation of the roof and the skylights, I would give Bone Dry and "A" rating because the foreman who oversaw our roof and skylight installation was excellent. They did a very nice job and the roof has been great thus far. Looks nice and no leaks. For the guttering portion, I would give them a "C" since they were installed improperly, causing rain water to flow over our phone box, taking out our phone service for 8 days and requiring the manager to come back to our home to fix the gutters in several spots. Also, they didn't re-install our gutter guard on the front of our home, and we could see leaves building in our gutters which never had happened before. When the manager came out, he found that they had put it on the back of the house instead, requiring him to remove it and put it back in the front where it was to be. I would give the salesman Chris, M, a "D" rating. If I had to work with him again, I'd would not hire Bone Dry. He gave us some inaccurate information, was not very well informed and was rude and condescending on the phone with me when I called him about the gutter problems we had. He acted polite until I signed the papers and there was a problem. I would never work with Chris M. again.

My daughter is going to court next week to testify against them for suing her when she never signed the contract with them. I am trying to contact the lawyer who called me asking us to join their lawsuit against Bone Dry. If anyone else has had problems with this company find a lawyer named Michael Patrick. What a horrible company. Reportedly they have expanded and now use a lot of subcontractors like the idiot who dropped his ladder off our roof and damaged our balcony and its contents. As it turns out the damage done by this contractor is far more than the $150 in patio furniture and BBQ. My son was under 18 and could not testify in court, according to the judge. To make matters worse, another contractor, Allender, has refused to fix the damage, because they don't want to offend Bone Dry. Don't hire either one of their terrible companies.

The snow was long gone by late March when a receptionist called to apologize for forgetting about me. She told me that I would be contacted and the work would be done. In early April, after hearing nothing, I called again. At this time I told them to reconnect the hoses and not do the work because I had lost faith in the company. The receptionist spoke to me two times and promised that she had referred my call to the appropriate person. Two weeks have passed and still no contact from the company. I had good experience with this company previously, on a roofing job but now I won't use them again.

Rebuilt chimney from roof up, installed stainless flue liners, repaired shingles around new roof. It went very well.

Scott Watkins, the manager was working on my neighbors home. I asked him to come over and give me a bid which he did. After getting a glowing referral from my neighbor I decided to use Bone Dry. When I called the office they had no idea who I was and could not locate any of the paperwork regarding the bid even though I had a copy in hand. Later, after Tony, they then did up another bid and when I decided to sign a contract they once again could not locate the paperwork for my job. Finally Tony, the customer service manager got involved...they actually recreated the bid from MY paperwork. The job was scheduled and on the day of the work, a sub-contractor (NOT BONE DRY) pulled up and three guys in t-shirts with the logo of another gutter company got out of the truck. They did really nice work but that being said, they smashed my spring bulbs almost immediately after I asked them to be careful (and they were not in the way). They were suppsed to install gutter guards that I had purchased...when scott came out he actually looked at them and even went so far to climb up and hold one up to the gutter to make sure it was the correct size. he said they would work fine. But when the guys showed up they said the gutter guards were the wrong size and they could not use them without smashing them flat...we decided NOT to install them. when they were done, I called in to the office to pay my bill and was never able to get a human...all I got was voicemail. I decided to wait for the bill. When the bill came it was incorrect, they had included the price of installing the gutter guards AND added on another 84 dollars for an additional downspout even though they only added 9 feet overall. (I measured). Scott told me and the bid reflects that they charge $7 a linear foot for gutter and downspouts so it should have only been $63. I called in again and was never able to get anyone but voicemail. Finally the operator graciously offerred to take a message and have Katie in accounting call me back. She did and we got it resolved and she said she would send me a new bill. Then about a half hour later, some man called (cannot remember his name) and said he was told to call me because the gutter guards were installed incorrectly...I corrected him and then he said the bill I got was correct. that they charge 12 FEET per downspout average for one story homes like mine....I don't pay averages and that seemed dishonest to me since we did not USE 12 ffeet per downspout. i told him I had already figured it all out with Katie and we hung up. To recap, While the gutters were installed well, they were done so by a company OTHER than Bone Dry, they were not careful on the jobsite, the billing system is all messed up and responsiveness by Scott was very poor... I called him a number of times, once for bid on new gutter guards, with no response. I will not use Bone Dry again.

Work was completed in a timely manner. However, the more expensive option given during my estimate was done, even though I chose the less expensive option. I was surprised when I got the invoice. The lady in billing was very responsive, and corrected my bill to reflect my initial, less expensive, choice.

They did a good job and charged a reasonable price. My mother was pleased with the job and they cleaned up after they were finished.

The workmanship was excellent but the cost of the painting service was a little bit expensive. The workers were very good. We had some problems getting the work scheduled and we had to wait 3 weeks for them to come. I've used them in the past so I thought they're okay.

We had different crews for both jobs (one being exterior and one interior, so that makes sense, and we were happy with the whole project on both jobs!

They were very professional and friendly. I was offered a written quote beforehand, the cost was reasonable, and they gave me a discount for being an Angie's List member! They explained what happened with the roof and why it happened. They gave personal attention to my needs. The repair work was quick, and the quality is unbelievably good.

They came right out. John Frey was very helpful and responsive. They came back out and gave me an estimate for roof repairs.

They are the original people who put the roof that’s why I called them. They were fine. The work was okay and good.

They were wonderful, they finished everything and cleaned up.

They came out and they were planning to send me a quote electronically, however I wasn’t able to download the attachment they sent. They were prompt in getting the quote sent to me. When I called them, they said they would send it in a different format and it has been a day but I haven’t seen that yet. May be they will mail it to me but I haven’t heard from them. Their pricing was much higher than another company I contacted so I am not going to pursue any further. They are not on the list of Owens Corning preferred contractor either and I prefer going with Owens Corning products. I am not if Bone dry is cheaper or not but I am completely satisfied with the one I chose. So I don’t have anything to figure out the difference but it is just that it didn’t work out in terms of getting the quote communicated to me. They were very good in coming out, doing the measurements and doing all the things that I expected but the delivery of the quote did not come across. They appeared more expensive in the phone conversation I had with them.

Over the last 15 or more years we have dealt with/used Bone Dry on several (5?) times for leak repair, roofing, and residing our home. We have never been disappointed..... their professionalism of their company and their employees is outstanding. They stand behind the services provided and should the materials the provide not meet their standards they "make it right". I would recommend the company and their people without reservation. Our dealings most recently Scott Watkins with Bone Dry have been most satisfactory.

Installer was supposed to arrive on a Friday because my spouse works nights. Contractor no showed. I then called them and they claimed they didn't know what had happened. I was instructed a worker would be out the following day (Saturday) at 9. He showed up at 11:30 to do the job partially. Then 5 days later 2 more workers showed up unannounced to finish the repair during a day my wife was sleeping. They claimed they still had to fix the gutter board and downspout which was written on the quote. Their work appears to be decent, however it's hard to tell as I can only see it from the ground. They are quick to get a quote but slow to respond and finish repairs.

We had one little problem and they came out and took care of it.? They did a great job.? The crew was great and the gentleman that came out to give the estimate was excellent. They were fast and efficent, no sitting around, and they knew exactly what they were doing.

Jim inspected my homes roof and provided suggestions for minor repairs. He was professional and represented Bone Dry Roofing very well. The service purchased was a good value. This is my first experience using Bone Dry Roofing and I intend on using them for my future roofing service needs.

They came out and originally were going to put in a skylight on the north side of my house. I paid a lot of money on the service and was unhappy with the general work and location of the light because I was not receiving much sunlight. I was finally contacted by a lawyer and it took me being unhappy with the attorney for him to call Bone Dry to inform them that I was not happy about the work performed and me paying the full amount until it after was resolved; I wanted them to come out and see why I was unhappy. Bone Dry came out and they told me the north side of the house is not a good location They changed the position of the skylight from the north side to the south side which is where I originally thought it was going to be located. The original job included installing 6 skylights. They are in the process of redoing it because I talked to the lawyer. They have all been extremely pleasant and tidy but this one time job was not completely satisfactory.

I scheduled the work to be done. They called twice to reschedule. Then they came, did part of the work while I was not home and left. They left debris (soffit pieces) lying in the side yard. I just assumed they would be back the next day or 2 to finish the work and clean up the wood. They never came. I stacked the wood in the garage and on the side of the house. In the mean time, it rained heavily and I noticed the gutter joints continued to leak. I called John Frey the estimator for answers. I received a bill for services that were not completed. He apologized and said he didn't know it wasnt finished, had the workers come back and complete the work. He also said the gutter sealant wouldn't work in cold temperatures and that they would be back to finish the job on march 3rd. In the mean time, Bone Dry continued to send me full bills to pay. He instructed me to put a note in the bill explaining the circumstances, pay for the work that was done $300.00), and pay the final amount when the work was completed. I immediately did this including the note (he mentioned he would speak with them about this arrangement). I just received my PAST DUE notice from them for the final $103.75. Wow.....if their service was as quick as their billing department, I wouldn't be writing this letter!!

They were on time. Cleared the ice dam and opened up a down spout to make sure the problem would not reoccur. They informed me the cost would be $275 for an emergency ahead of their arrival. The cost was well worth it. They were professional and carefully explained to me the source of the problem. I subsequently had a question about this portion of my roof and they sent someone out later to investigate (at no charge). After their review they told me my roof was fine and did not need any further repairs.

He came out and informed me that my leak wasn't due to my roof needing repaired, but was actually caused by something else. He was neat, clean, friendly, and prompt. If I do wind up needing something done to my roof in the future, I will definitely call them.
