Bone Dry Roofing

Jeff came out and checked my roof, siding, and windows for any signs of hail damage after a recent hail storm. He showed up on time and was very knowledgeable. I really appreciated the fact that he was honest in his findings and even broke down some various options for me. Will certainly use Bone Dry in the future.

They know what they are doing. They are knowledgeable about the process. I think that they are very good in the area, they just came and fixed it. They have good pricing.

I got them from Angie's list and the very first time they came, they told me that they were going to fix the problem and they charged me 500 dollars. The leaking continued though and it damaged my wall. I called them the next time and told them that I wanted someone to repair the wall. The guy who came said he couldn't work on the chimney but could fix the broken bricks around the chimney. They charged me 700 dollars and said they would send me a chimney person after but I never heard from them again. I would not recommend them to anybody.

We hired Bone Dry Roofing to repair our roof as part of a big deal package. They were quick to respond though it took about a week for them to come onsite. Once there they were quite thorough with their evaluation of the roof and pointed out two additional repairs that were needed that were made as a part of the big deal. We do not have any trees near the house that are taller than the roof so the gutter cleaning was more of a gutter inspection. That was great because we never had a chance to really look at the gutter system since we bought the house last year. The only "gripe" I have is that we indicated to the crew that we wanted to schedule getting an estimate for another siding problem on the house, but we never did receive the promised call. Not really a big deal and something we can pick up with next year. Would hire again!

When we discovered a leak in our roof the 2nd week of April, I immediately went to Angie's List to find a trustworthy roofing company. Bone Dry had excellent reviews, so we scheduled a visit for an estimate. They came out on approximately April 9th and were courteous & helpful - everything seemed great. They said they were scheduling 10-14 days out, so we returned our signed agreement and expected them to return by April 24th/25th. They never showed up. We are pretty understanding people and know the weather can cause scheduling challenges, so we were patient. When they hadn't shown as we were getting into May and more rain, and more water damage to our home, we called again... they were apologetic and again promised they would be out on May 16th. If it rained on the 16th, they said they'd be able to come over the weekend or by Monday (5/19). Again - no show. No call. No nothing. When we called AGAIN on 5/23, we were AGAIN told they'd have to sort out who was supposed to be coming, etc. So now here we are, 1.5 months later, with a roof that still leaks and *no* plan for its repair. I have never been so disappointed by a company that got good reviews on Angie's List. All the politeness in the world doesn't help if they don't SHOW UP. If they didn't have time to do the work, they should have admitted it so we could hire another company.

They did alright, they were okay. I would recommend them.

Two employees, a man and a woman, came out and it took them a day to complete. This company was the most honest and direct. I really appreciated working with them.

I will use this company again in the future.

I called Bone Dry after an adjuster looked at my roof and was concerned I could sustain water damage. The company sent out their emergency service and tarp plus ice and water shield was put down in very cold weather. The weather had been making it tough to get an estimate on a full roof replacement. After being rescheduled twice, I was about to miss a third appointment due to an upcoming storm. I called Bone Dry and they were able to work me in that day. Jeremy Bays came out and was really great. He gave me information on the company, shingles and recommendations for my roof. I followed up with Greg Nash who also did a fabulous job on providing me with information and addressing all my questions. In the end, your full roof replacement cost was just to high. I know your company would've done a great job. Just wanted to give you praise for your customer service!

I PURCHASED A 'BIG DEAL' FOR THIS PROVIDER'S SERVICE. HE INSPECTED OUR ROOF AND GUTTERS, AND REPLACED 3 SHINGLES. HE DID A GOOD JOB AND I WOULD REHIRE HIM.

The provided showed up on time and performed the work as expected. The person doing the work was thorough and cleaned up everything once the work was completed.

They were very professional and I felt they did a very good job. I'd never purchased a big deal and was impressed by the whole experience.

Not much to tell, really. They came out and inspected the roof on April 7 and did the work on May 2..The ridge vent replaced an old one which was poorly designed.

We had them replace it over one section of the roof 6 or 8 months earlier. When we had them come back because there was a leak at a different spot, I told them to go ahead and do whatever's left. They said we need it on our whole roof because they have never used that material before. They claimed it was not a good roofing material to use, but then I said they were the ones that placed it over my garage.

It went poorly. The manager came promptly and gave me an quote in March. I signed a contract and then waited, and waited, and waited. I asked to be notified when they were coming to do the work. I was never called and the first I knew that some of the work had been done was when I got a bill in mid April. I called and said the work wasn't finished - they were supposed to paint the ceiling over the porch to repair the damage from the leaking. Again,2c I asked to be notified when they came and did the work. No call and this time no work until I spoke with a manager at the office to state my concerns and to let them know that I wasn't going to pay until the work was complete. The woman told me it led be taken care of the next day and it was. But again, I had asked for them to let me know when the workers would be at my house and I never got a call. Was this such a small job that they just did not care about the quality of the work or service? I know I will have other projects and repairs but, even though I had an excellent experience with Bone Dry masonry I have a hard time imagining that I will ever use this company again.

I originally purchased the $145 roof maintenance package. When Grant inspected the roof he noticed the rotting trim by the chimney and when inspecting that area discovered that the chimney had never had a barrier installed under the siding. I was having another company come out and redo all the trim work so i need to have this repaired quickly. I marked N/A under the price grade because I didn't have the time to go and get other quotes, so I do not know where they are compared to others for this work. I originally called to see if they could get me on the schedule for Monday the 28th. On the 28th I was contacted by Bone Dry and told that they had just assigned the work to someone and they would call me later in the week to schedule. Wasn't really happy about that. On Tuesday the 29th I get a call at approx, 8 a.m. that they are on the way and would be there in about 45 minutes. A little miscommunication seemed to be going on. Hector showed up around the time he said he would be there. The work was done and it looks really good. The new flashing installed should keep the water away from the trim now and help it keep from rotting like the original trim(I just wish Davis would have installed the barrier and flashing when they originally built this house). I have used Bone Dry before on a previous house and would use them again.

The estimate was really high and the person buying my house found someone who was less expensive. Scheduling was fine; they came out the next day. They were on-time and communication with them was also fine.

They did a wonderful job, they were polite and perfect. They were just very careful with my things. I have an attic full of antiques and they were very cautious around those.

I had about a half dozen or so exterior projects I needed completed and for each task I had that particular job bid by no less than 6 people per task. Needless to say it was not long before I saw the VAST pricing discrepancy with Bone Dry and any other similar business. I will break down my morbid disappointment by task: 1. Masonry Work Bone Dry Estimate: $28, 740! Price I paid for a different company to do the same job: $4,200! I needed the bottom about 18 inches of exposed brick around the perimeter of my house re tuck pointed, including the chimney and front brick porch. My house is only 25 feet by 35 feet. Pretty simple job. I was astonished to get a nearly $30,000 price tag especially because my entire HOUSE only cost $150,000!!!! 2. Insulation Bone Dry Estimate: $ 2850 I requested a quote to have an R-50 rated layer of fiberglass insulation blown into my vacant attic. The price came at an astonishing almost 3k! Well over 1k OVER the next highest contractor. 3. Exterior Painting Bone Dry Estimate: $4218 I have wrestled with the idea of either painting my house or just re-siding it. I chose to have quotes for both done. This was the ONLY quote that Bone Dry actually was not the highest bid for the project I had gotten. They were the second from the top. 4. Re-Side Exterior Bone Dry Estimate: $12,774 This was the number Bone Dry quoted me to do some repair work to my soffit and gutters, and to reside my house repairing a hole in my top dormer. NOW I would like to tell you what I did instead. I hired a great company that came upon a referral from another Angies List user, and this company has done the work for $11,000 TOTAL! The company I chose is actually doing more than that. Let me list what services above and beyond they are doing. 1. Removing old wiring and debris from my attic and insulating it to an R-50 rating with fiberglass. 2. Re-Siding the exterior of my ENTIRE house and reconstructing rotten decking boards and the top dormer. 3. Painting and staining entire house including new cedar siding. 4. Building a new 2nd story balcony for our second story office. 5. Re-Staining our back patio. 6. Removing and Replacing the previously mentioned office patio door. 7. Re-Sealing my garage door. 8. Wrapping the house with insulated wrap once the old siding is removed. 9. Fixing ALL gutters and soffit. ALL FOR A GRAND TOTAL OF $11,000 with the winning contractor. Or I could have gone with BONE DRY for a grand total of $48,590!!!!!!!!!! I know certain companies provide a better service than others, and that some have to build in certain costs to maintain a stable business but lets be clear here, I saved $37,590 dollars because I DID NOT use Bone Dry. So I make it clear again, with my house only costing $150,000 to begin with, it seems almost criminal that Bone Dry proposed business with me to the tune of almost 50k! This is borderline criminal behavior. Karma will catch up with business practices like this. I would not recommend this service to ANYONE, ANYTIME, for ANY REASON!

They were incredibly experienced and I don't have to deal with the insurance company at all because they handle all those negotiation.

We got estimate on this roofer because he was highly recommended by a friend. They couldn't make it on the originally scheduled day due to illness, but called and rescheduled before the appointment time. They climbed on roof, and made measurements. Came back with estimate within 15 minutes. The estimate was about $2000 higher than other estimates, so we went with someone else.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They came and did the first of two visits and it seemed to go okay. It was easy to set up and they showed up on time. They were supposed to do standard maintenance and there were probably a couple of things that they could have done that they didn't do. They did do the main things they were supposed to do. There were no additional charges. I would recommend them.
