I selected this provider because of the overall ratings on Angie's List. However, this provider has the absolute worst customer service I have ever encountered. Firstly it took several calls to the provider to ever get anyone to answer the phone It seems that all calls are routed to voicemail. Then after leaving multiple voicemails, the director of customer service never returned my calls. On a day they were scheduled to do the work, No ONE showed up. My husband waited at the job site for 10 hours. Repeated calls were made to the provider but to NO avail. Finally I sent an e-mail to the president of the company and then, and only then, did I receive a call and a rather empty apology. The workmanship of the crew that eventually did show up was top shelf. They were professional, hard-working and cleaned up afterwards. In the end, a small discount was given on the bill. Overall, I would give this provider a "C" rating.
Description of Work: Provider installed a new roof, decking, fascia and gutters. Provider also installed a new chimney.

They charged us a little extra to replace some shingles that were missing. The guy was professional. The crew that he used, they had it done in a relatively quick manner so they were pretty much in and out. The place that we had that was leaking is not longer leaking so I guess you could say they did a good job. It was a bit pricey but it was effective and they were in and out. It took them a bit to get us on the schedule.
Description of Work: I used a Big Deal with Bone Dry Roofing in the middle of April. They went up and inspected the roof and saw that we had some missing shingles.

Hector showed up on time and was very pleasant. He briefly explained what he was going to do. He performed the inspection, repaired a few shingles and sealed around vents as I had asked. The best part is he found a big wasp nest up under the sofftt that was not visible to me after checking many times. He removed it and no more wasps coming into home! It was actually pulling the soffit away from eave! He took a pic of the chimney and let me know it was something I may need to address soon. It was worth the $145 investment!

I thought they did fine. I am not enthusiastic about them. The guttering around the edges were small. Once they did that there was never any water in the basement. I designed the roof. I sketched up what I wanted them to and they came in and did it. Solved the problem. I think what Bone Dry does is they are some experience floor men. They looked like basic roofers. They didn't just round them up to do the job, some of them I think were permanent. I was a little bit surprised. They did a very quick job. They skimmed a little bit. It's strong enough and it doesn't leak.

They were late, called them and they said the truck had issues. They ended up being about an hour late. The employee apologized for the mix up, so I doubt the truck had issues. The inspection showed hail damage and I was to get a call back for a roof quote. So far, no call back...

Started great. Contacted Bone Dry, they set up an appointment. They came and did most of the work. All but the painting. Upon leaving, the guys said that a manager would come check the work and schedule the painting when it got warmer. However, no one came and checked the work out or scheduled the painting. However, they began billing fairly quickly for the full amount. I paid $1000 of the $1850 and indicated that I'd pay the rest when it was painted. Didn't hear anything. 4 months after the original work, it's still not painted (just looked). I've called many times and talked to nice people. At this point my bills say "Past Due", but the work has yet to be completed. I'm not sure what to do....

The work Bone Dry completed for us gave us peace of mind through the summer rains and through the harsh winter weather. We engaged Bone Dry masonry for work around our chimney took 6 months after our first job.
Description of Work: Bone dry sent out an estimator, he was knowledgeable and confirmed that we needed work on the roof. The work was done in a shorter time than we thought it would take and done for less than we had budgeted. We were glad to engage bone dry through Angie's list big deal.

The contact representative was very professional, pleasant and patient with us since we had no prior experience in replacing a roof and gutters. The workers were efficient/hard workers and completed the job within the expected time. We were very happy with the quality of the work and materials. That would have been enough to give them an A rating all by itself, but then they went above and beyond. I had never really paid much attention to the way the rain water came off the roof, but after the replacement I noticed what I thought was an unusual issue where the rain water came straight off one section of the roof rather than going down to the gutters. I requested a follow-up visit, and a management representative came out. He patiently pointed out the builder's design and how the roof line itself was the problem. He volunteered to send someone out to put up a deflector - at no cost - to help re-direct the water flow. They did that, and it has helped fix the builder's design flaw. Very impressive service. We will use this company for any/all the services they offer.
Description of Work: Actually, I don't remember the cost. They were willing to accept what the insurance company offered even though it was less than their estimate. They replaced our roof and gutters.

Outside of some scheduling issues, the process was very painless. Bone Dry worked directly with my insurance provider (Safeco) and submitted digital photographs which meant that the insurance agent didn't even need to be on site. The photos and a video were taken showing all damaged areas which made it easy to see where the problem was. The work crew did a good job (I think) and was very quick. The entire roof took about 5-6 hours total. They cleaned up after themselves by sweeping, vacuuming and running a large magnet around to pick up loose nails. All shingles were hand nailed which prevents the nails from shooting all the way through the shingle like with an air-powered nail gun. The roof comes with a 10 year warranty from Bone Dry and I have to reason to expect that I'll need to use the warranty.

My house was built in 1963 and the roof has been replaced once, although we have had work done around a large skylight repeatedly. I got five estimates before making a decision because it was such a major improvement; biggest one I've handled since my husband died. Scott Wise was exceptionally patient with me from the very beginning -- answering my questions, advising me, and clarifying terminology that was unfamiliar. In talking with friends, I had two who had hired Bone Dry and they had been pleased with the work done. Once I made the commitment, scheduling was done absolutely according to my time. No one tried to hurry me. The preparatory checklist made it very easy to be ready for the arrival of the work crew. Everything Scott told me to expect happened according to schdule. I especially appreciated the respect and care for my property. They did all kinds of precautionary measures to protect my shrubbery, deck, yard, and driveway. They were organized and well-trained in that they wasted no time. The on-site manager was knowledgeable, definitely in charge, responsive to my questions, and courteous. We needed to consult on a couple of things during the day and he was amenable to my points of view. The crew was professional, stayed on task, and were also courteous. They had a radio playing music for themselves, but I did not even hear it until I went outside. It did not carry all over the neighborhood -- or even into my house. Just goes to show you, music can be enjoyed without blaring into the atmosphere. I particularly liked that they loaded all the debris in a trailer they brought with them and carried it away at the end of the day. There was not a huge dumpster sitting in my driveway for a day or two. They used big magnets to pick up nails all around the perimeter of my house. (There were a few nails and small scraps of roofing material that I found in shrubbery during days after, but the very visible debris was certainly collected and removed.) Following the work's completion, I studied the roof very carefully from my seat on the deck. Within a day or two I had questions about a couple of areas. Called Scott and asked him to come out and look at them with me. He did that and our resulting discussion allayed my concerns. During that visit, I pointed out an area of cedar siding adjacent to one area of roofing that had been damaged during the roofing. The siding was "fragile" in places and replacing all the cedar siding was on my to-do list for 2015, but I was concerned about moisture getting into the damaged area. I asked Scott if he could have someone nail a cover over the small area. As we talked about my plans and the best approach, he offered to have someone come out and look at the sided portion of the house. (It is an addition to my otherwise brick structure.) The very next day John Frey called, made an appointment for later that same day. When he assessed the situation, he made a very reasonable estimate to have the cedar boards replaced and repainted instead of waiting until 2015. I accepted the proposal and within a week, the work was scheduled and done. The two men who did it were not quite as conscientious as the roofing crew, probably because they did not have an on-site supervisor with them. They misread some instruction on John's proposal too. They did not clean up as carefully as the earlier workmen did and they did not finish the work in one day. What they did do was well done, but I asked John Frey to come out to inspect the job and talk with me. He did. I expressed my reservations, especially about the misread instructions. The result was something I could live with, but I did want another coat of stain on the siding (done a little more carefully) and I wanted my dish TV cables fastened back more neatly and completely. He agreed to have that done and I asked him to delay until spring because by that time we were getting a lot of rain; and I did not want the problem of trying to schedule staining around that. Plus I did not want a hurried job. Several days later, I found a paint tray and a roller cover tucked under the edge of my deck among some ground cover. I think the workmen were in such a hurry they did not take time to double check the area. I'd say they were not of the same quality as the roofing crew. I had a call from Bone Dry already this year asking if I was agreeable to having that additional work done back when we were having some nice weather. I declined, giving basically the same reason -- just wait until the weather is warmer and dryer. Overall, I was very much pleased with the people with whom I spoke and worked. I felt that my questions and observations were handled with consideration and respect. Never did I feel that any of my calls were a nuisance. Their response (to calls) time was always prompt. In fact, I could reach Scott on his cell phone very readily. I am so glad that job is done! Since I am 80 years old, I'll never have to re-roof my house again, but Bone Dry did everything they could for me to make it go smoothly; and I very much appreciate the company and its representatives. June 27, 2015 Finally, there was a break in the weather; this has been an unusually rainy two months. I contacted Tracy who does the scheduling. She had Sam call me and he advised me that Brad would be completing my unsatisfactory unfinished work on the cedar siding. Sure enough, Brad showed up on Tuesday, the 23rd, to assess the job and what materials he would need. The next morniing he started early and was doing an excellent job of preparing the area for painting. Once done, he secured the dish TV cables very well. HIS WORK-- AS WELL AS HIS DEMEANOR -- WAS EXEMPLARY. I was beyond pleased. He was neat, careful and professional. It was just the kind of work that I expected from Bone Dry based on my roofing experience with them. Having to leave while Brad was still working, I was not at home when he finished. I wrote an email to Tracy praising Brad's work and asked that it be passed on to management. I also called Brad to thank him for his high quality workmanship. I am so happy they worked with me over these months to do the siding and painting satisfactorily. Without reservation, I recommend Bone Dry Roofing. This concludes my review. I wish you the same fine experience with BDR as I had. I think you will.
Description of Work: Replaced roof on a one-story house. Removed sizeable skylight that had been problematic; I decided not to deal with it anymore. Replaced another skylight. Replaced gutter guards. Later BDR replaced cedar siding on the addition to my house and painted the new boards and the adjoining wall. The first men who came to the house had loosened the dish cables in order to replace the siding. They had not secured them well at all, so that still had to be addressed. They are now neatly secured (even better than originally).

Valentines Day, we experienced very strong winds that resulted in the loss of several shingles. Called and left a message with Bone Dry on Saturday and were called the following morning and were out by 9:30 am. Repairs were completed in a few hours. We were very pleased with the service and professionalism of Bone dry. We had engaged a different contractor before and that went horribly awry. Bone dry came in and redid all the estimates and worked well with our insurance company to get things squared away. After getting all the paperwork in order and signed they were on site within a week and finished the job completely the same day. They even made a secondary trip to make sure they got all the nails, etc. and cleaned up. We were very happy with them and recommend them highly! Thank you!

After noticing water dripping through our bedroom ceiling, I called Bone Dry to schedule a quote and repair. Grant, the sales rep, came the next day and was very helpful with the explanation of why my roof vents were leaking. He gave me a quote right there and I accepted because it seemed very reasonable. Grant had my job scheduled the next day, Saturday, because he knew it would be raining soon. The repair guys came out, clarified some questions with me and went to work. Everything was completed in around 2 hours and all debris was picked up and left as it was when they got there. I really appreciate the quick service and no bull explanations of what the problem really was.
