Bone Dry Roofing

Overall, my experience with Bone Dry Roofing is positive. I had my doubts at first, as I found it impossible to get anyone to ever return any of my phone calls. I was assured my calls would be returned by the appropriate person, but that never did happen. It took 6 weeks for someone to show up and do the work, after the initial estimate, even though a rush was put on my order, due to large holes in my roof vents. In their defense, this was in the midst of a lot of hail damage claims, & I was very understanding that they were backed up. Both Jimmy Johnson and the roofer, Brad Best, were professional, knowledgeable, helpful, & very neat in appearance, as was the company truck. My real complaint/suggestion is that I feel it could have been a better experience if the communication had been better. This seems to be a very good & very, very busy company that just needs better organization or perhaps more personnel to take care of the high demand. I would recommend this company to other.

I called mid May to get appointment for hail damage inspection. Nothing was available until mid June. I got someone else. I called them back out of courtesy to inform them they did not need to come, no one answered phone. I left a message. I went to their website and left a message as well asking for them to confirm cancellation. Three weeks later, they called back and told me they could not come until July 31st. I was not real impressed with their timeliness or communication.

I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE WORK DONE. BDF IS A RELIABLE COMPANY WITH VERY PROFESSIONAL EMPLOYEES.

The only reason I'd even bother with Bone Dry is the size of the company. The better roofers (smaller companies) are booked through the summer b/c of hail damage.

He checked everything like he was supposed to. He gave me all the information I needed.

Bone Dry performed a roof replacement for our next-door neighbor. The workers came on our property without securing prior permission and covered our heirloom plants with tarps, which they then began throwing shingles onto. They removed the tarps after we complained but not before damaging our garden hose guards. A company rep (Tim) promised to call us but never did so until we threatened a negative Angie's List report. He then called and promised to replace the guards, which has yet to be done since our last conversation at least 10 days ago. I will never hire nor recommend this company after this experience.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I signed a proposal/contract for the work on 4/6/06. I contacted them on 5-4 to find out when the work would be performed. I never received a call back. on 5/10 at 8:30 pm I was contacted that they would be out the next day. I would not be home that day so I asked them to give me more notice and that any Thu, Fri or Sat would be fine. I was told they would be out 5-18. I contacted the company rep the evening of 5-17 to confirm and was told they would not be able to do the work that day after all, but they would keep in touch. I called 5-23 and asked to speak w/a manager and Tina told me Bryan White was the GM and she would have him call me back. Again, my call was not returned. On 5-26 9:15am I called and spoke to Bryan White and explained my situation. He said he would call me back in @ 1 hour. At 6:00pm Bryan called and told me the work would be performed on 6/1. on 5/31 at 11 pm I recvd a call to confirm the 6/1 apptment.

Our roof and gutters were damaged by hail and had to be replaced. From the first phone call, Bone Dry was very professional and organized. They were extremely busy with calls as a result of the hail storm, but their staff was more than ready for the challenge. They promptly scheduled an estimate and then worked with our insurance company to get the work approved. Once approved, they scheduled the work and stayed in contact with us through out the process. The crew that did the job was on time and worked very quickly. I felt they could have cleaned up at the end of the project a little better, however, their professionalism and excellent communication made up for this minor issue. We appreciate Bone Dry making a difficult situation very easy.

A week or so after not receiving a call back, I called them again to see if they could come out to do an estimate on my roof. Knowing that these companies are very busy and in high demand, I exercised patience, but let her know that it was my 2nd time calling in. I spoke with an extremely rude receptionist who told me that they receive thousands of phone calls everyday, and they are human and things do slip through the cracks. She said they can't come to my house until July, as they are just too busy and thought it was a good idea for me to call elsewhere. A sales person later called, I mentioned my conversation with the receptionist, she apologized profusely and said someone would follow up with me right away, and I never got another call back.

Some confusion about when the appointment for the estimate was, but this was in the thick of the post-hail rush. Otherwise responses were prompt and polite.

When I contacted them, they said they would give our repair request to one of their employees to give us the estimate. It has been two weeks and I haven't heard from them. After a week and a half, I contacted someone else who handled it the same day. I realize that our problem was small given the recent weather problems, however, if they couldn't fit us in they should have told us. We would have contacted someone else sooner.

They were just great. We will be hiring them again to repair the hail damage.

I spoke with a woman in the office Thursday, she said someone would call me back, but no one did. I called the next day and left a message, no one ever got back with me. I understand that a lot of these companies are very busy with hail damage work, but they should at least call back.

They did not return any of my calls.

They were very timely and courteous, and they did a good job for me.

We did not have any problems. It was not as quickly as I hoped, but they did make sure it was scheduled and got us in. They did the best they could and took care of us.

They were responsive. Gave me samples to look at. They did a real nice job of presenting the quote. They put me on a schedule quickly. Their people met me at my home. They were available to get me done quickly.

Gene came out for the estimate. I was so impressed with him!! He went over everything with me and I can't wait until they are out here to do the work. He brought so many samples out to me which was great. They do all the nailing by hand instead of using nail guns. His estimate was the lowest.

The people who came out were very professional, knowledgeable, and mannerly. They've been back twice to make sure everything was in line, and we were satisfied.

I appreciated the professionalism. They were on time. He quoted me for the roof vents. He quoted the garage separately. And I said to replace all of them. I was happy.

I called to set up an appointment for an estimate. Because of the recent hail storms, they were very busy and couldn't get anyone out until June. When I explained the extent of the damage (large holes and a leaking ceiling, not just shingle replacement), they called back and said someone would come out the next day. The estimate was done on Thursday and Friday the work was done. We couldn't be happier with the responsiveness of this company. Their people were working long hours (we got phone calls after 7 p.m. for the appointments)and they understood our concerns about letting our roof stay damaged any longer than necessary. I was told by the woman on the phone who set up the appointments that they wanted to take care of this and get this over for us as soon as possible. I can't say enough great things about them.

We stayed home, they were supposed to come at 9:30. They didn't show up, we tried calling, no answer. We gave them our cell phone, they never called. I know we made 5-6 phone calls, and finally, on one of the #s, we were able to leave a voice mail. We reached them at about 5 til 10:00 left message asking them to call. They never called back. It's been 1 1/2 weeks and we've not heard anything. It was very hard to get through to them.

Their price was double than another company. They did give me an estimate on the spot although it was not as thorough as another company's. They were on time.
