 + -1 moreThe person answering the phone (Carrie) comes across as rushed and a little short. I was pleased at first that she was able to schedule estimates on two properties on short notice but the first one has not been followed up on.
Description of Work: Their roof estimator never showed up for an 11 am appointment on 8/10/06. I waited around until 11:45 am, called twice, received answering machine each time, and left messages. It is now 12:50 pm and still no call back.

Gave better explanations for what was to be done and what options were available than any of the other companies that quoted. After I selected Bone Dry, Anna was a great help getting paperwork sorted and options selected. Start date was scheduled quickly and I received a telephone call to remind me of the date. Company called to ask if they could come a day EARLY. Crew and material arrived on the same day and the job was completed in one day plus about an hour on the second day. = Crew was polite, friendly, and pleasant. Workmanship was outstanding and Bone Dry supervisors were constantly checking on progress etc. Crew did a fantastic job of cleaning up. I highly recommend this company for roofing jobs.

 + -1 moreI was very pleased with the service Bone Dry Roofing provided. My insurance company wanted me to get a second opinion since another roofing company had provided an unsolicited estimate. They (the first company) claimed that I indeed had hail damage they even provided digital photos and would be willing to meet with my insurance representative. When I contacted my insurance company and told them what occurred, they felt it was prudent to contact a reputable, local firm to provide a second opinion. I suggested Bone Dry, and they agreed to approve a new roof if Bone Dry said I needed one. The customer service representative was very accommodating in scheduling my estimate. I understood that roofing firms were extremely busy responding to hail damage inquiries; yet, the person scheduling appointments was able to squeeze me in due to a cancellation. ''Jade'' came out and determined that a new roof was NOT warranted, and explained why not.

I called and emailed more than a dozen times and left detailed inquiries, so that my questions could be answered on my answer machine. I received only one returned call, and the message was for me to call them back.

 + -1 moreA great company to do business with. Considering that they were absolutely inundated with calls following the hail storm, their prompt response to our needs was very impressive. Representative, Brian Maher, provided a complete & professional estimate with straight answers. He promised an emergency patch to be installed on the following day & sure enough, it was completed. Scheduler, Anna Wooldridge, provided terrific assistance to all questions. The five man crew worked hard & completed the job in a timely manner. Best of all, the finished product looks great. They went the extra mile & extended ridge vents the length of the roof for a clean look that other roofers should take notice of. If you need a roof, call these guys!

 + -1 moreI called them back twice and finally talked to a live person. She said they are far behind in service calls and the date they can come out is in October. I just want my roof repaired not under any expressed warranties because it was only a 5 year warranty. She expressed the reason why they are behind is because of the hail storms that we had. I told her no one called me back when I left the message with the recorder and I didn't get a very good expression from her when I told her that.
Description of Work: I left them a message at 9am this morning letting them know I had a leak in my roof they installed in Oct 99. Job 2: I was very pleased with the performance of this company. They knew my roofing job would take two days to complete so scheduled it on a Monday. I had over $600 worth of flowers planted around my house and all survived!

Every time I call I am connected to the voice mail. The one time I did get through, two weeks ago, I was disconnected three times. I am beginning to wonder what kind of service I will get after the job is done if I am having this much trouble now. I realize that because of the hail damage, all roofing companies are very busy now, but how long does it take to hire a few people to answer the telephone?

 + -1 moreWell, while we were getting estimates, we had two personal recommendations for Bone Dry and, at that time, most of the reports on Angie's List were very positive. We had hoped to have the same great experience with Bone Dry, but it was frustrating at times. The estimator, Gideon, was very courteous and knowledgeable. After faxing our signed proposal, I tried calling just to make sure it was received and we were "in line" for our new roof. Twice I got voice mail asking me to leave a message and someone would call back within 48 hours. I did, but no one returned my calls. Two other times, I actually talked to real, live people. Both of them said they would check and call right back. Never heard from them. While I understand how busy they are, I do not have tolerance for people who do not follow up with what they say. Other than that, they were able to install our roof sooner than we expected. Crew was nice and did a good job. Our high-def roof looks great.

 + -1 moreGene showed up on time and explained everything well. Shingles were not delivered on time. The crew did their best to cover the house during a downpour. Some water made it into the house though. The guy coming to collect the bill didn't really seem to care. He only wanted the money. The roofing crew and president were excellent, the support people not so much. They charged for two skylights. I only had one installed. The shingles did not show up on time, which is not my problem until there is water in the house and I have to take an extra day off of work. They did work with my insurance company and they were able to fit the job in relatively quickly. Every roofing company is really busy, maybe this is justification.
Description of Work: They tore off and reroofed a two story roof. Drip edge installed, skylight, felt paper, 30 year dimensional shingles, ridge vents replaced box vents.

Came within a couple of days of promise date (rain delays). Completed entire job in one day and did a thorough clean up. Very pleased with the final result (30 year dimensional shingle looks great)

 + -1 moreFor years, I've had a great experience with Bone Dry. So after the hail storm, I called them first and they were out right away. The estimator said the extent of the damage required replacement and if my insurance company disagreed, Bone Dry would talk to them for me. I signed on the spot. My insurance rep disagreed that my roof needed replacement. Bone Dry met with him at my house but after that, my calls were not returned, my estimator and others did not follow up as they promised. I've left messages on the regular number and the Angie's List hotline. I even asked that the owner call me. After more than two weeks, I left a phone message and email that if I did not hear back within 24 hours, I had to assume they did not value my business. I have not heard back. I appreciate how busy the company is, but I've made too many efforts at contact to accept that they're too busy for ANYONE to call. Even to say they can't help me.

 + -1 moreI can no longer refrain from submitting a report on Bone Dry after reading some inappropriate comments from Mr. Judd. If Mr. Judd spent half the time returning calls to customers that have accepted his company's bids, then maybe there would be less negative sentiments toward his company. Because I accepted Bone Dry's bid, I did not schedule with another roofer. Looks like now I'm screwed since other reputable roofers are booked. Oh by the way, it never seemed to matter that I have a TERRIBLE roof leak that has now caused extensive damage. Thanks for the special Angie's List treatment!
Description of Work: I called Monday am after the April 14th hail storm to get an estimate. I was pleased to get an appointment within 2 weeks. Jimmy Johnson inspected my roof and felt there was hail damage, but was not confident in his assessment since my insurance adjuster disagreed. He said he would be back that weekend with a more experienced roofer. He did not leave a bid and he didn't come back. It took several phone calls and setting another appointment before Gideon Brown came out in another 2 weeks. Gideon was very knowledgable and left a proposal which I signed and faxed back. Roof samples were promptly dropped off. I wanted to see the color I liked on an actual roof. Melissa said she would email me by the end of the day, but nothing. I left messages on the main line and the Angie's List hotline. Finally someone answered the phone. Melissa said she had computer problems and would email me right away, yet nothing. After several more messages, including one on Melissas VM, I gave up.

 + -1 moreWe had our roof damaged by hail, we called Bone Dry Roofing because they recently but a roof on a rental property we own and liked their work as well as there service. Again, we were not disappointed. They came out and quickly considering the hail damage all over the city. They got us an estimate and suggested we get on the schedule to have it replaced before we even contacted the insurance company. By the time the insurance company got us an estimate and then a check it was only two weeks and our roof was replaced.
Description of Work: The work was well done and done quickly. The crew was on the roof and working on the tear off before the supervisor was done explaining what they would be doing and how long it would take. The house and garage were done in two days. They did a good job of cleaning up each day and when they were done.
