Bone Dry Roofing

I left a total of five messages over a span of two weeks. I even called a direct line asking for help. I finally gave up. At least someone could have called me back letting me know they are too busy to give an estimate. Though, if they are this bad at customer service for a phone call, I can't imagine what they would be like if I had actually hired them!

Crew arrived mid morning and tore off one section of rear shingles, spent significant portion of their first day on break or off the job site, resulting in interior ceiling damage due to rain storm . Damaged boards replaced with improperly cut wood. Crew members didn't speak enough English to address concerns, while on my property. A site supervisor would drive by, climb onto the roof and ''check the progress'' and then disappear with no communication. Crew left over a dozen nail pops, damaged gutters, and poorly installed soffit boards. Asked to pay 50% of job with several problems remaining. Assured repairs would be made within a week. Issues left unresolved at posting. Work crew left my property at the end of work day with clothes in the bushes and trailer with four flat tires in my drive way for four days. Overall bad experience, for a company with such high rating on Angie's list.

It was not a good experience and I feel they may not have done a quality job. The roof does not look even and it dips in some places. Some of the work does not look finished. They didn't clean up everyday as they were supposed to. They left some of their supplies on the grass, which damaged the lawn, but they did admit fault for that. He also said they would fix the gutter apron, and they have not. The workers did not speak English, so if I asked a question they would just smile, no answer. I never knew when they were coming or going, I would just hear them up on my roof. They did not put back chairs or heavy flowers that had to be moved for the job. So far, management has been unresponsive to my concerns and one of the gentleman even threatened to "slap a lien on my house" if I didn't pay immediately. As far as I'm concerned, the job is not complete to my satisfaction and I will send the final payment when the job is finished. I am disillusioned and disappointed.

The work was done excellently. Randy Judd was a pleasure to work with. We are very pleased with this company. This work was done in January 2006, sorry I am late with this report.

They finally came out but that was due to the huge back log, but they were very professional and polite.

I got a quote from them for roofing damage due to the 4-14-06 hail storm, but didn't choose them. They were friendly and prompt in returning my calls and coming for the site visit / quote. They couldn't do the work for six weeks when others could react faster. They also tried to sale me when others were more to the point.

Bone Dry Roofing took the old shingles off of my house and put new shingles on after the Good Friday hailstorm. They also replaced one piece of wood that needed to be replaced. ($40 per piece) Overall, I was very happy with Bone Dry. The crew seemed to keep the work area clean and was efficient and professional. However, they did eat several apples off of my apple trees, so if you care if they do that, you may want to say something to the crew leader. It did not bother me, so I did not stop them. They did have to re-schedule 4 times due to the weather. This was a little frustrating because I wanted to be there and was taking a lot of time off of work. Overall, I was happy with Bone Dry and would recommend them to a friend. If you leave a message, be patient...they will call you back, they are just very busy. I went to the office and know this for a fact because the phone was ringing off the hook !

They came out very quickly to give me an estimate which was less than what the insurance company had said. The work crew was there on time and did a very good job. I have recommended them to others.

They did good work, I haven't had any problems. They cleaned up beautifully and did everything they said they would do and in a timely manner. They even followed up with me to make sure that I was happy with everything. A manager came back and looked everything over in person. I really liked them and I would use them again.

Professional, timely. All calls returned and appointments kept. Hopefully leak is taken care of. Will have to wait months to know for sure as was a slow leak.

WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE FROM THE 1ST PHONE CALL TO THE LAST INSPECTION OF THE ROOF WE HAD A MAJOR CONCERN ABOUT A LEAK THAT 3 OTHER CONTRACTORS COULD NOT FIND. SEVERAL MEMBERS OF THE BONE DRY TEAM INSPECTED THE ROOF AND FOUND SOME PROBLEM AREAS.THEY UNDERSTOOD OUR FRUSTRATION AND REALLY MADE US FEEL LIKE THEY CARED. THE ROOFING CREW DID A FINE JOB IN CLEANING UP AS THEY DID THE JOB.

I had a lot on decking replaced, I felt they overcharged me for the material. They were not well organized on material or wagon to carried away waste. I called to get an Itemize bill, still waiting, went to there web site, no answer, they state that they would reply in 24 hours.

I had an estimate before the storm hit so I was already in their pipeline. While I from time to time had some difficulty getting a hold of anyone in the weeks after the storm, it wasn't worse than I would have expected under the circumstances. They gave me a date for the job to be done and stuck to it. The workmen were neat and polite and worked very hard. When the garage started leaking (before they replaced the roof), they got a tarp on it within 24 hours. This was an insurance claim and they cooperated in getting a prompt sign off from the insurance company for the work.

The roof looks good. They did leave some shingles untrimmed and some trash, but were very responsive to coming out and trimming the shingles and cleaning up the mess. The inspector from Bone Dry came out, and we walked the roof together and I think they did a good job.

They were one of several companies I called for estimates, and I waited 6 weeks for them to come out for the estimate (much longer than other companies), although I understand the heavy workload due to the storm. However, when the guy did come out for the estimate, he was only able to estimate the roof and told me I would have to call for another appointment to get the siding and gutter work estimated. I specifically told them I needed estimates for all three types of work when I made the appointment, and considering the long wait for the estimate appointment, I was very disappointed that the person they sent was only able to estimate one. If their estimators can only estimate one type of work, people should at minimum be informed of this when the appointment is set up. Preferably they would schedule the estimate so that all trades could be estimated at the same time.

I could not be more pleased. I have recommended them to everyone I know. Their clean-up on the back-end was fabulous. They were very thorough. They were incredible.

They listened and we have not had any more leaks. The prices were very reasonable.

I have not any more trouble since they did the repairs.

In and out in one day, used magnetic to sweep area for nails, put flashing in tight so squirrels and raccoons would not get in attic. Very positive. Tim Daily was supervisor, he is a pro.

i was very happy... There was 4 or 5 inches of snow on the roof and the temperature was about 25 degrees... a guy came out to fix it and i told him with the snow on the roof i would understand if he wanted to come back some other time. he said that he would clean the snow off, rip off the shingles around the skylights, put down an ice and rain shield and put down new shingles. he did a great job..... very dangerous work.... i was glad that he was able to do it with out getting hurt....

This is the third time I have used Bone Dry to replace a roof. I was satisfied with my first two experiences. When Bone Dry gets around to it, their work is good. However, it has been torture to communicate with them; not sure what the problem is, but this is a real decline in service. I realize the storm has resulted in many homes needing work, but that is no excuse for not keeping customers informed. Ironically, there is no problem in making calls when the job is finished and payment is due. I am so disappointed (angry) that I have had such difficulty getting follow-up and never speaking with office staff when I place the call. Today, August 14, I was expecting my gutters to be done in order to (finally) get the job done, but no one showed up and there were no calls, not one. I planned to be here all day so I could be sure that the work was being done. This has been a recurring problem. Until Bone Dry improves their performance, I must give them an "F"...sad to say.

When I called to for an appointment, they were very busy and not able to come out for about five weeks, just to do the estimate. I went ahead and scheduled an appointment, but continued to search for other companies who might be able to come out sooner. I called two weeks later to cancel my appointment - spoke to a live operator, who thanked me for calling to cancel. I have since received three additional appointment confirmation calls, of which two of the three times, I have called back and explained, to a live person, that I had already cancelled this appointment. This last time I had to leave a voicemail message. I am glad I chose not to use this company. If they cannot efficiently cancel an appointment what would the quality of their work be on a replacement roof?

I thought it was going to be really good at first. They called three different times to confirm the appointment. The guy came out, and we accepted his proposal, and he left a message to clear everything with our insurance company. We even faxed him more information on Monday. He gave us the idea that he'd be handling things. We never heard anything for a long time, and he finally called us back after three weeks Monday night and said a new general manager came on and changed the procedure, and nobody has called us since.

Quality of work was excellent. I understood delays in start dates due to extent of damage in city from large hail storm. However, supervisors seemed overextended. Crew ran out of material late on Friday & wasn't able to finish my roof. The next week, supervisor wasn't aware that crew didn't return to finish job and I had to call him myself. I also had to call to report a flashing that hadn't been done as written in original contract. Although supervisor was responsive to calls, I don't feel that I should have to ''supervise'' the supervisor. Clean up was also less than satisfactory. I swept up many nails from my driveway. I had hired this company due to their good reputation in the city and their good ratings on Angie's List. I wonder if the recent hail storm has them overworked and overextended.

They were very professional and arrived on time. They cleaned up after themselves. The price was reasonable.
