I didn't have any problems with their actual service but their billing wasn't the best experience. It was difficult to get a live person to talk to, you have to leave a message and wait for them to call back. I paid my bill and received an invoice 3 - 4 weeks later and when I contacted them they acted like I shouldn't worry about it if I hadn't paid for it, which I had. It was on my Visa statement, so I know they were paid. With the shingles themselves, they charged an additional $200 to have someone out to match up the shingle color because I didn't know the color off hand. If I'd known I would have taken a shingle to them to match.

Called for an estimate. Was told it would be 6-8 weeks just to schedule the appointment for the estimate!! I mentioned that would not be good, as my ceiling would fall in. Receptionist said ''okay, thank you'' and hung up. Very disappointed.

They really didn't want to do the job because of the emotional mess that happen when I called the gutter company. (See other reports) All I know is that the wood was fine when I had a tear off done by them in 1999, and there were major sags in the roof on the edge all around the roof my April 2006. I will say that Randy went out of his way to try to figure out what was causing their 1999 work to fail so soon and gave me an unbelievable $ on the wood decking. (the verbal quote on phone) I never heard from them all of Aug when a cold I had was exasperated by the actions of their employee from Texas to needing hospital attention and I couldn't work. Trusting a previous contractor was foolish on my part. In a world when you can't trust the President of our country, what happen to the truth and American way? And who is the "they" when they hear that Brian came to job site. Could it be he was trying to scare me so they could get out of the job?
Description of Work: I was so disappointed with them. I was the ginny pig for a new crew who did not speak English to replace the wood and shingles. They cut my valley off center,(Randy said it was cut adequate) and tore up my gutters. Is this the quality craftsmanship they speak of in their opening letter? Half the time no one was there who spoke English. I've been called a lair (he said, she said). I accepted what Melissa told me verbally over the phone for the work that was needed to be done. My first clue should have been when I never received a contract and Melissa never returned my calls. I called production and was sent an ambiguous contract on 6/28/06 when the start date was to be on August 2nd. What happen is a series of games by Brian White their production manager, including a trumped up bill for $2400 more than the ambiguous contract. They day after I contacted a CONTRACT atty. I received another bill for the original quote. The lawyer listen and then said he had a conflict of interest.

They brought a crew in and finished in two and a half days. Cleaned up all debris, very efficient and business-like to deal with. Their price was on the higher end but I really thought the work warranted the price they gave me, it was fair for the work done.
Description of Work: They did a complete roof tear-off and re-roof and they put new ridge vents in. Replaced rotted sheeting, major job on a very steep roof.

They started the job at 6pm on Thursday evening and came back Friday to finish. When they left on Friday they still hadn't finish. Part of my roof is still missing and there is a tarp left on it. One of the things I have been consistently told one thing and the service has been the opposite. I would like them to complete the job and get it done as soon as possible. Apparently someone did not order enough shingles. They might have completed the work, but they ran out of shingles. They were the ones that determined how many shingles they were to order. I have not heard from them at all.

While I am unsure as to why, it is apparent that we have failed to meet your expectations. I spoke to your project superintendent, Mike Hoday, & if I am correct, we started your project late on a Thursday afternoon. Our crew worked all day Friday and it rained all day Saturday and Sunday. Our crew completed your new roof Monday morning. In all, we finished the project in less than two days. While I appreciate the fact that each individual has a different set of expectations; unfortunately, even with the best of intentions, we cannot meet everyone's expectations. They cleaned up before leaving each day. They didn't call before coming out to start. The ridge vent was not delivered with the rest of the materials.

My overall experience was quite good. The only reason that I gave a "C" for responsiveness is because I have not been able to get the company to pick up their sign that was left in my yard (without my permission) when my roof was installed. I've made three requests (one via email and two via phone) that they remove their sign and have had no response. Three weeks of free advertising are enough!

This was mostly a satisfactory experience. I appreciated their prompt response when we had a leak. They also came when scheduled and finished the work in a short period of time. The problems came in wrapping up the job. A piece of plywood had to be picked up later. It took weeks and many phone calls to receive the pack of spare shingles (left on the lawn in the rain) and our driveway was scraped by the crew's trailer (and I have given up trying to get the company to repair this). It also took me three hours to clean up the garage from all the debris and I re-attached a section of gutter myself.
Description of Work: After the hail storm in April, the company applied a patch that stopped a major leak. They then returned six weeks later as previously scheduled to replace the roof. They tore off and replaced the roof on house and detached garage. They also replaced most of the decking on the garage and installed new flashing on the home.

They promised me that my roof would be done by August. They won't return my calls now.
Description of Work: They came out and did an estimate right after the hail storm last spring. I wasn't going to wait for the insurance check. They told me it would be done as early as June or as late as August. They haven't started and it is the middle of September. They keep telling me that they have lost my file. They have me call people who have no idea who I am. They keep telling me that they will call me back. I have left at least 4 messages that have not been returned.

This is a mixed review. I've used Bone Dry in the past and have had excellent service. However, I can't seem to get them to come to my home to provide a quote for a new roof (they are booked until mid November and I called in August). I know it's busy due the hail storms, but when other roofers (yes even local ones) can come out and at least give a quote within two weeks - it makes it impossible to consider Bone Dry for this job. I am especially disappointed as I'm a past customer who gave them good reviews and paid promptly.

The work was high quality, looks great and I have even had several neighbors stop by to ask who did my roof because they thought they did such a nice job. Clean up was immaculate. Keeping in mind the incredible workload with this season's hail storm, Bone Dry was great to work with. Insurance settlement issues held things up for awhile, but Bone Dry actually had full time insurance person to work as the go-between with my insurance company to reconcile my claim and their estimate. What a great service! Once the insurance issues were settled, Bone Dry promptly scheduled the work, showed up on the day promised, and were completely finished in less than two days. I would highly recommend Bone Dry and, in fact, I have!

They advertised their experience and that they are the best. The crew showed up from Florida and spoke very little English. They showed up mid-day. It began to rain and they assured me that they would be able to tarp it in time. They didn't, and I had to have contractors come out and fix the bathroom that was damaged by the leak. They paid for all of that. They kept asking me for more money before the job was done. They did a sloppy job on the rubberized roof. Kevin Redden, who sold me the job, was very responsive. When the roof was leaking I finally had to call him because I couldn't get anyone on the office line. The damage had already been done. The people who did the job were subs. The foreman dropped them off and left. It was just a bad experience. I couldn't oversee the job. I am not happy with them.

We wanted to have someone come out and do an estimate for a replacement. The person on the phone, seemed like she just couldn't care less about taking my info, and the wait time was over 6 weeks! I know this is an unusually high volume time for roofers in this area, but 6 weeks. We called others on Angie's List with ''A'' ratings and they were out within 2 days. Bigger may not always be better, and it certainly isn't more polite.

On the south side of the house, the shingles are buckling, the garage door has a dent and scratch marks on it, there are oil spots on the driveway and ruined my flower beds. This is totally unacceptable. They deserve an F minus from the pricing, to the service, to everything they have done.

On most instances with this company, they have been unable to show up on time, if at all for any scheduled appointments or estimates. When we finally scheduled work to be done with them, we thought they would at least be on time for that, and they weren't. I am sitting now and they were suppose to be here this morning to do the work and they never showed, nor did they call. Even if they do end up doing the work and doing an excellent job, I would still not use them again because of the inconvenience they have been in getting the work done.
