Bone Dry Roofing

Excellent work. Professional people with a few minor glitches. Fence was left open and we have pets. Garage/paper was dropped and left in our home. Trailer dump was left in driveway two extra days.

Superb, Fast, Clean, Friendly and professional. Perfect work.

The work went fine. It was done in a timely fashion. I will not use this company again nor recommend them. I had too many problems with their lack of communication. This happened too often during the process. About a month after project was done someone finally came and did the final inspection and collected their payment. About a month after that I received a message at home advising that the company wanted to set up a time to come out and do the final inspection and collect their payment. That doesn't say much for how the company is run. The person who did come out admitted they had problems with communication and was working to correct it. I needed other work done to the house but chose to use another company.

Bone dry was prompt and cleaned up the mess after the work. Workers were polite. I would recommend them highly.

Company was very courteous, thorough & accommodating. Job was finished to my satisfaction.

After describing our problem to the receptionist, she said that our job was too small and recommended we go somewhere else.

The work was to include reflashing the chimney and installing a water break to keep water from pooling at the base of the chimney. Work completed in late May, 2006 and three weeks ago I got up on the roof (to use a pressure cleaner on the bricks of the chimney). I noticed that it did not appear that the chimney flashing had been worked on and that no water break was installed at the base of the chimney. Two phone calls the the Bone Dry Roofing Office (873-6005) have not been returned. Since I paid for work that was not accomplished I feel that I paid too much. - If you can convince BDR to contact me regarding this problem I would be most appreciative. Sincerely, Jim Moffitt

Bone Dry was extremely responsive and professional during the entire project. A home inspector had noted some minor concerns about the rafters and decking of an older home that we were selling. Although the representative from Bone Dry did not indicate there was a major problem with the roof, he was easily able to diagnose the issues that the home inspector had seen. He recommended a plan of action to reinforce the structure of the roof and they were able to complete the project in a timely fashion. My husband and I were very impressed. We would highly recommend Bone Dry Roofing and will certainly utilize them again if we have any roofing issues in the future.

We got an estimate for a roof repair and also for a roof replacement. We were happy with the estimate and wanted to go with them for the work, due in large part to their Angie's List coupon. However, after trying to get a date scheduled for 3 weeks after I faxed them my signed proposal and numerous emails that got me nowhere, we decided to go with another company.

Due to large hail damage in region (Indianapolis), the lead time for any estimates was about 8 weeks. The representative showed up when scheduled and was efficient in estimate process.

All four times that I have had Bone Dry Roofing and Bone Dry Exteriors come to my house for roof issues and window trim issues, I received competent, professional opinions and excellent follow-up service. The factors for repair work that I value and have experienced all four times were that the workers were respectful toward my home and property, they worked diligently and completed the job efficiently, cleaned up, and most important, the job was done correctly. With all four repairs, I have not had any follow up problems, but have been confident that if I did, they would guarantee the work and follow up with action to correct whatever problem there still was. Bone Dry was honest about the true problem that I had and they did not oversell what was needed. Additionally, the Bone Dry office showed the courtesy to call and tell me when they were coming, approximately how long the job was expected to take, and when it was done so that I could plan accordingly.

Bone Dry Roofing knows how to give customer service. I was very pleased with the final job. I had a couple of issues initially, but there immediately corrected. The owner took the time to make sure I was satisfied with the job. They are very sincere about providing good service and a good product.

BONE DRY WAS A VERY PROFESSIONAL COMPANY TO DEAL WITH, DARIN THE ESTIMATOR WAS VERY COURTEOUS AND POLITE, WITH A NON-PRESSURE VISIT. THE JOB WAS COMPLETED WITHIN A FEW DAYS OF THE TENTATIVE SCHEDULED DATE. THE JOB WAS WELL DONE, AND THEY DID A GOOD CLEAN-UP JOB.

Their company assisted me with the insurance papers. They returned my phone calls promptly. The roofing crew was polite, and performed their work in a timely manner. This was a good experience.

I was very pleased with the work performed. My only complaint is the time it takes to get a return phone call. The crew that worked on our house was amazing. They showed up at 3 pm and worked until dark (8 pm). They got one whole side of the house done and sealed up just in case it rained. They came back the next day and finished up the rest of the house. They were very careful with our house and unlike some other companies, they did not make a mess and destroy the landscaping. In fact, we have Halloween decorations out and they moved them out of the way, and put them back in what looked to be the exact spot including the stakes. This may not sound like a big deal, but I have not heard of another company doing that. They scheduled an inspection to go over everything and collect payment about a week and a half after the job was completed. I really appreciated this since I got a chance to see how the roof would hold up to wind and rain. Great job, would definitely hire again.

They failed to show up for an estimate a couple of months ago. Since then they have not returned any phone calls for a future estimate. I will not use them or call them in the future.

They didn't come back to fix some shingles that have fallen off. I have called multiple times about this issue, and they haven't done anything. I've received one call and they told me that they would get back to me in a couple weeks. No response. Spoke with manager and he told me he would check into it, but he never called back.

They were very fair with the price for the insurance company. It was on the mark from what I paid three years ago. There were a couple of concerns that I had since I wasn't home. I spoke with Steve Curtis, and he came by at noon. He verified that everything was fine with the work. Any additional problem I had with the cleanup he took care of. I was satisfied when he left. I am very pleased with the outcome. I would recommend.

They were supposed to be there at 9am; didn't get there until 5pm. I called them they said they would look into it, they were to call me back, they never did. Called repeatedly. Finally they called in the afternoon said they would be there in two hours. I called them back and they were very annoyed with me. They finally showed up four hours after the initial call. And no one spoke English and it was very hard to communicate. They worked a couple hours until dark and came back in the morning. We had to make last minute arrangements to board a dog and we both had to take off work on Friday. The foreman was supposed to come by on Saturday to look at the work and they said they would reimburse the boarding of the dogs. I never saw the foreman. They said they had to expedited the gutters for me. I didn't know that they were backed up. I get conflicting comments from bone dry roofing and I don't like being treated that way. They only want to reimburse $100 & that's not sufficient.

We called Bone Dry after researching Angie's List and seeing the great reviews. We called for an estimate. The estimator came out within 2 weeks. We were pleased with the estimate and his assessment, so did not contact any other companies. The work was performed as stated. However, one area is still leaking. We have called back 3 times to request another repair. I finally asked for a manager and was given voicemail. I left a detailed message asking for someone to return the call. I gave work, cell and home phone numbers, nothing. We need someone to come back out to assess the leak and repair it for good. Our house is on the market and we need this addressed. We have recently had a hail storm and are concerned that there is more damage to the roof and do not want to sell the home if there is clearly a problem. We are honest people and want to fix this problem. No wonder people hire storm chasers, at least they get attention.

Bone Dry replaced my roof in Aug 06. I was satisfied with the quality of the work. However, there was too much roofing debris and nails not picked up. When I paid for the roof, their rep apologized and offered to pay for a leak in a car tire. Six weeks later the gutters were replaced. They dropped all contents of the old gutters in the yard. This included more roofing debris and dozens of roofing nails. Also, they busted 2 floodlights and scraped the side of my home where it looks like the old gutter swung down against the house. I have not paid for the gutter job yet. I have not received a response to two separate emails sent to the company.

Representative showed up on time and provided thorough cost estimate. The one thing I was not thrilled about is that they insisted I be there for the estimate, so I had to take off work and I don't feel it was really necessary for me to be there for him to hand me the estimate. The discussion we had could have been done over the phone.

Bone Dry has been swamped with all of the hail damage and its customer service is suffering due to this. It took over two months after we agreed to their bid before work began. Numerous phone calls were never returned, work did not start when promised, materials were not here when needed, all but one of the workers did not speak English and the one that did barely spoke it. The landscaping was not protected as promised. When they were done, I walked around and found over 70 nails around the house, they came back and picked up more, came back again and one of the reps and I found at least 80 more nails. Promised cleanup on our siding has not been completed as promised over a month ago. They are obviously swamped and the quality that you expect when you hear the name Bone Dry is missing. In the long run, the roof looks good and hopefully will not leak. I would hire again only because I'm hoping this is a temporary situation.

We got three quotes and Bone Dry was by far the most professional. They took time to explain the process to me along with my options. They provided literature and pictures to look at. Their price was within $100 of the other companies I contacted. They are also willing to work directly with my insurance company if any additional problems arise. We have not yet had the roof installed so I'll update this after that time.
