Blice Edwards Decorative Painting opens new design studio in MeridianKessler – Studio 54 Blice Edwards, a decorative painting and mural company founded in 1993 by Chris Blice and Jon Edwards, celebrates its 20th year in business by opening a new studio space called Studio 54, at 1101 E. 54th St., Indianapolis, IN, 46220. Studio F, in the Monon Shops. Their first studio in a garage just two blocks away at, coincidentally, 1101 E. 56th St. A mural in a tiny powder room of a MeridianKessler home was their first job. Today, their projects vary greatly. Most recently a 2,200 sq. ft. panoramic mural at Butler University; a huge sculptural mural in downtown Westfield, Indiana; and nursery murals for St. Vincent’s hospitals in Carmel and Fishers. Their color consultations, faux finishes, ceiling murals, polished plaster, trompe l’oeil, woodgraining, kids rooms, and painted canvas applications for wall and ceilings are just some of the services offered by this multifaceted art and design company. Punctuality, consistency, and meeting the aesthetic sensibilities of residential and business projects have earned them great client loyalties. Local businesses like Posh Petals, Good Morning Mama’s, Village Cigar, Hilton Hotels, Elgin Water, Meridian Hills Country Club and Angie’s List have all trusted Blice Edwards with their decorative painting and design needs. Collaborations with creative designers and clients have led to projects involving transom windows, awnings, counter tops, wood floors, ceilings and all other surfaces that have require something unexpected. Every project is unique for each client, so nothing is ever replicated and everything is executed by hand. A studio where murals and art projects come to live, an office, product library, catering kitchen, and events space are all part of what is a new showroom highlighting all of the decorative services they offer. Studio 54 is open by appointment only, and, beginning this spring will open for First Friday gallery nights. Decorative painting workshops for the public will also be offered this spring as well. Collectively, the artisans of Blice Edwards have more than 50 years experience in this busines, creating one of a kind murals, art and faux finishes for both residential and corporate interior and exterior clients locally and nationally. Our corporate office/studio is located on the north side of Indianapolis with a downtown studio in the Historic Stutz Business Center. All of our projects are all so different and unique, coming in and leaving every month, each requiring a creative veiwpoint, while providing us with new challenges, new and old techniques and constantly thriving to create new concepts in the decorative arts industry.

On November 1, Chris and Joey arrived early and spent the day stripping the paper, cleaning the walls and applying the base coat. They were very professional, worked hard and did a great clean-up job. After the walls dried for a couple of days, Jon and Eric arrived early and began the process of applying the plaster. They too were very professional and hard working.
The finished room is exactly the and quot;lookand quot; I was seeking. I absolutely love the wall technique, the color and warmth of the room. I definitely recommend them and I will keep them in mind for future projects.
