Blakley's is a third generation family-owned business started in 1898 in Indianapolis. The business has evolved and grown dramatically from our early days as a tombstone and monument provider. We also have a showroom in Carmel, IN located at 2184 E. 116th Street. Our business philosophy, and thus our reputation, has been built on several basic principles: providing a quality product, unsurpassed service, and expert installation; all at a fair price backed by a satisfaction guarantee.

They did an excellent job, from Shelby and Janet in the office to all the installers led by Ricardo and Enid. We did have a few very minor issues, but overall they were very helpful in guiding us in selecting the right carpeting and flooring and listening to our desires and needs and questions. The installation was very professional and the whole process went extremely well. The crews did an excellent job of protecting our floors and home and got all of the furniture moved, flooring out and new carpeting and flooring in and furniture back in place. Nothing was damaged and we love our new carpeting and flooring. Shelby was also very helpful after the project was going in answering questions about care of the new carpet. She was able to address our concerns from start to finish as we'd never done this before. We'll have them return for carpeting in the upstairs bedrooms.

Our sales rep, Jennifer, quoted our project a couple of different ways and was very responsive to my emails. Our quote was comparable to and in line with other quotes we got, although Blakley's provided better customer service. Our installation time did get pushed back due to our selected product still being backordered due to COVID-19, but this was a delay on the supplier's end, not Blakley's. Jennifer reached out to reschedule with us and the installation process itself was very smooth. Our installer, Sam, arrived punctually, was polite and professional, and did a good, efficient job installing the flooring. I would use Blakley's again without hesitation.

The process of removing the carpet and replacing it with laminate flooring in all our upstairs' rooms was efficient and well done. The quarter round that was added to the flooring was not the best work. I will need to touch up paint and add paint to the ends of the Q-round. Some of the pieces do not meet evenly. The upstairs' work was done in a reasonable time. The stair carpet removal and carpet replacement, however, presented a number of problems. I was told the latter would be a one-day job. It stretched into two days and the second day went on until 11:25 p.m. The carpet I chose was very stiff and, consequently, hard to install. I did not know this would be a problem when I selected the carpet with Blakley's sales consultants for expert advice. We ultimately needed quarter-round for the base of the stairs and it was added by another team who fixed the unsightly shiny staples you could see all the way up the steps. The q-round duo knew exactly what they were doing and hammered in all the staples and did an excellent job installing the q-round. Blakley's absorbed the cost of the q-round work and did its best to satisfy us. We had used Blakley's years earlier and I would use its services again. Every job presents challenges and I learned a thing or two, as I expect Blakley's did also.

Excellent. Quick response to my request. Visited the showroom to select flooring from a very knowledgeable salesperson. Prompt appointment to measure home. A week later 1300 sf of floors were installed in 2-1/2 days. An amazingly smooth process by a very professional crew.

We replaced nearly all the carpet and flooring in our 21 year old home. Blakley's had a better selection than anywhere I went. I compared prices and even compared to Costco Blakleys' was competitive. Their level of service makes it worth any small difference in price. Hilery was immensely helpful in making selections and we had the super team of Kent, Kevin and James as our installers. They did a tremendous job; every detail was looked at carefully. We could not be happier and highly recommend Blakleys.

Very much a cluster from the onset. Installers arrived only to realize that they did not have enough carpet. They wanted to do half of it that day and then order more and finish the job a month later. Cleaning everything out to lay carpet is a major undertaking. I wasn’t going to tear my house up for them twice. It was rescheduled for a month later allowing me to finish some woodwork refinish but apparently the credit came in much sooner because I was pressured on multiple occasions to take delivery sooner. Finally installers arrived and did a nice job. After they left, I found a long noticeable mark right inside the front door. I have been told “ they might be able to improve it “. They say that I must have “ burned “ it by moving heavy furniture over it. It is in front of the door. There is no furniture in that area. I believe there is a blemish in thevcarpet. Pretty sure I am getting the run around. I have asked for the second time to speak with the owner. He never called the first time. We will see

We used Blakley's Flooring 6 years ago to carpet two of our bedrooms. We were really happy with the carpeting we purchased there. When it came to installation day, the installers arrived on time and they were extremely professional. Fast forward to 2018 and we had the same result. The Blakely's sales person was extremely helpful we were selecting the carpeting and their installers were excellent!

They damaged my furniture. One piece was a desk that they said they would repair. The other piece was an armoire that they refuse to repair when they were the ones who moved my furniture and caused the damage. I would not use them again. It was an antique armoire.

"Actually, Blakley's did have a company repair the desk and the armoire at our expense. Our installers are normally very careful when moving customer's furniture and the installers took care on this job as well. Our customer had people helping her move the furniture in preparation for our installation so several people handled the pieces. Since we have no way of knowing how the damage actually occurred we had it repaired and paid over $200 to do so. The installation went well. I do feel this is an unfair grade."

Blakley's had a good selection of options and I was able to find one that was a near-perfect match for color and style to the original floor (which matched other elements of the room). Price was fair but above some of the deep-discount options I'd seen, but the quality of materials and ease of getting installation scheduled was worth any extra. The installation was handled well and the new floor looks beautiful.

The whole process was rather smooth for what we were trying to accomplish. We had a newborn from the time we started then from when they first installed. So naturally that comes with some issues, but they were very easy to work with and they installers were awesome.

Overall we were very happy with our experience. The only issue we had was that the manufacturer created the stair treads incorrectly so we had to wait an extra week for them to get remade. Not Blakley's fault but a little frustrating that the treadsmade it all the way to our house, and I was the one to notice they were incorrect. Great product, great customer service, great install quality by Mike Schwomeyer with In-Stile Hardwoods!

Excellent service and responsiveness. I did not have any boards at home to use and had to purchase some. They provided samples for me to take home to match up with my floor boards. I decided to move forward, purchasing a box of new boards. They ordered and delivered the new boards to my house at the time of removal of the old boards and left them to acclimate to my house. I had the dishwasher removed and replaced by another company, and Blakley's folks came back to install the new boards, which almost are a perfect match! They are professional, knowledgeable, deliver when they say they will, and the price is competitive. I would use them again for flooring needs.

Blakey's had so many different carpets to choose from it was difficult to decide which one. Dar provided some excellent suggestions and let us take several samples home. Once we selected what we wanted, an agent from Blakley's came to our house to measure. Shortly there after we received a quote which we accepted and an install date was established. Their team of two men arrived on time. Prior to their arrival we had remove all the light stuff from the room. They removed the heavy furniture, removed the old carpet, installed the new one, and brought the furniture back in, all in a couple of hours. We are very pleased with the result.

I initially called to reschedule a simple carpet restretching. The phone was answered by a male who was very rude and unhelpful stating that he had no idea who I was. I was transferred to 4 different people before they finally were able to "find my name on their schedule." I decided to cancel the appointment altogether due to the fact that they seem to have very poor customer service and a staff that is very unorganized. If some of the individuals had seemed like they cared about my issue rather than just getting off the phone, I would have rescheduled the appointment.

"There is no excuse for poor customer service on the phone or otherwise. Blakley's takes responsibility for this and we certainly will strive to improve. We have several locations and 5 divisions within our company. I am not sure what phone number was called and who answered but I do know it can be challenging at times trying to match a customer call and the correct division. Also, implementation of a new system for answering outside calls at our corporate offices may have contributed to the confusion. Again, we will strive to improve."
