This contractor was the worst, most incompetent, rude, disrespectful, lying person I have ever come across. The heated floor he installed didn't work and he insisted it did, he didn't vent the toilet correctly and water came gushing thru the kitchen sink. The deck on the back of my house -less than a year old- is falling apart. He did not know code for Marion county and had to re-do venting and charged me for it. He should have his license revoked. DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH HIM.

The work was done well and he was quite a personable guy. We were happy with everything that he did. The job was done at a fair price and efficiently. They used a really good subcontractor for the tile work and they did a very good job. The only thing is we can see some of the drywall screws are starting to pop now.

Bryan is there for his customers. He also has great contacts. No job is too big or too small for him.

In October, 2010 we contracted with BK construction to completely remodel our master bath.  The contract presented by
Mr. Kulmer, which we signed and later learned was an illegal contract according to the State of Indiana law, was an estimate and  just the beginning of our problems.  The contracted time for the renovation was 4 weeks and 11 weeks later it was finished. All during the renovation Mr. Kulmer would state "remember the estimate is the worst case scenario" in response
to anything we asked him to add, delete or change. There was never any discussion of additional charges.  
 
After making final payment to BK Construction, we were presented with a bill for additional services.  A short time later
we were sent a letter from a collection agency. After that we were presented with a lien on our property for the
additional sum Mr. Kulmer was trying to collect. We had to hire an attorney to get the lien removed.

He did a great job. They were responsive. They were just great to deal with when we ran into little problems. He and his team are good all around. The people he uses for painting are excellent. He is reasonably priced. He wasn't the cheapest but he was the one I though could get the job done.

As usual, he gave me a good price, started work on time and finished the job on time. As in the past, I was pleased with the quality of the work.
Bryan is open to discussion about additional work or confirmation of work completed. He offers suggestions if he sees things that ought to be taken care of. I would definitely use him again in the future and will certainly recommend him to my friends.

Had used BK construction in the 2008 for a room addtion and did a great job.Bryan was very prompt when I called during the Ice storm and suggested that we intal the heating cables that are permanet and we would never incure the damage again, that we did from the ice storm. The cables were installed as directed on the package went up onto the roof and down into the gutters, these are very comon in the northeast, all was done well except Bryan never came back and installed the cables up onto the room addition the cables are just lying in the gutter.
I have emailed BKConstruction at least five times wanting to know When the job was to be finished, that he was paid for back in Feb. and have recieved no response. So I will have to have someone else finish the Job.

He was prompt, courteous and respectful of our old 1911 Bungalow. We were very pleased and have already contracted with him for another job.

Brian is very skilled, helpful, friendly. I've called him several times since the original work to do other tasks so I highly recommend him.

The job went extremely well. In a large job, there are always "surprises". BK dealt with them all in a timely fashion. Bryan, the owner, was involved in all aspects of the job. They are very trustworthy....I was at work much of the time the work was being done, and I felt totally confident that all would be done as it should be and that my valuables were safe. They were even willing to let my dogs out during the day, if needed. I am extremely satisfied with the final product.

Estimate was in line with that of 3 other companies. Bryan was very professional and came highly recommended by friends. Sent detailed invoice after work was done. Would recommend BK Home Improvement to others.

While they were contracted for the specific bathroom fan, they also fulfilled some other needs. They were very good about getting the material they needed and advising us on what would be best for us to do.

I HAD ANOTHER CONTRACTOR LOOK AT THE WORK. HE WANTED TO CHARGE ME 4 TIMES THE AMOUNT THAT THIS COMPANY DID, AND HE TOOK 3 WEEKS TO GET ME THAT ESTIMATE. BK IS VERY DEPENDABLE, REASONABLE AND HONEST. THE PAINTING THEY DID WAS FLAWLESS. I COULDN'T EVEN TELL WORK WAS DONE.
