BIONIC CAT

I have been using their services for years. I probably use them every year for the past five or six years. The cost of the service depends on what we have done, but they are very reasonable. They are reliable, efficient, and trustworthy because I always let them in my house when I am not home. They are good. There is nothing I do not like about them. Actually, they are still in the process of doing some work for me. I just have been out of town and I have not had them back, but I would use them again in the future.

I was having problems with Microsoft exchange synchronizing between my desktop, laptop and phones; the connections to my printer kept dropping and the scanner was not set up correctly to link to the Apples. Steve was terrific - pleasant, punctual, polite and efficient. He charges by time, so efficiency matters. He is also excellent at explaining the problems and solutions so a non-techie can understand. he resolved all my problems. I called him recently on a software glitch with Adobe pdf, and he solved it for me over the phone. Great service.

No problem with vendor, things went according to plan.

Let me start by saying Stephen Cranfill and Randy Blye of Bionic Cat are THE BEST! If I'd been able to I would have put an exclamation point after marking the "yes" button on the question "Would you use this company/individual again in the future?"

The story of what Bionic Cat did for us (our Macs) is fairly complicated. It involved two new iMacs, an old iMac, a senile iMac, an old MacBook Pro and an ancient iBook - and migrating data up a ladder from one to another. It started with advice on which Macs to buy and how to deal with operating system issues to maintain use of older software. The story ended with several happy Mac users. Along the way we installed some memory to boost usefulness of some systems and cleaned up messes on others to give them a few more years of usefulness. I see some training in our future to make us more efficient and productive with these systems.

The Bionic Cat guys worked with our schedule so that we experienced no downtime in productivity and made the whole thing more pleasant than any IT interaction I've ever had - and I've been a heavy duty Mac user since 1988. I'm just sorry I didn't meet the cats.

My advice? Have Macs? Use Bionic Cat.

I have had this contractor come to my house three times in the last year. Every time, he has arrived promptly, zeroed in on the issue (often despite my inability to articulate it accurately) and gotten everything perfectly restored and humming along in record time. He is personable, knowledgeable, and thorough. And... he actually follows up! I cannot recommend "The Bionic Cat" highly enough.

Stephen is personal and professional. He does such a great job his business has increased and he added another employee Randy. He has helped answer questions via email after the appt and is readily available on the phone with any problems or questions.

They are prompt. They return calls. They pay attention to whether your a business or not. They are very responsive.

I called Stephen regarding error messages I was getting while using the Entourage e-mail program on my Mac. He called me on the phone and suggested some things to try which solved the problem. This was a small problem but Stephen is willing to help with any size issue. He has installed, serviced, and maintained our Macintosh computers for several years even before he started Bionic Cat and he has always done a great job. I can't remember a situation or problem he couldn't solve. Not only is he a Mac expert but he also knows software, peripherals, and networking. He even installed a software program on our Macs to allow for remote access so he can work on our problems from wherever he is if it is physically impossible for him to come to our site. He is great to work with and his fees are fair.

It took a little longer than Stephen expected but he stayed until he was done and all was humming. He even found some issues I hadn't noticed and took care of them as well. I have Stephen come once a year and clean house to keep it running smoothly. And if I have a question in the meantime, he always shoots me a quick message that keeps me running. I don't know how he keeps up with this rapidly changing technology but he's a walking tech encyclopedia!

We have never used bionic cat without a successful outcome.

He is very knowledgeable and he has a great personality. He is very familiar with all of the different services and products that deal with computers. The cable guys where at the house at the same time and he even was able to help them with their own work. AFter he was here I emailed him a question and he immediately responded with great advice at no charge.
