He was triple charging my mother in law I found several people way less than him to put up the exact same cabinets he was very rude he walked off the job took my money says he does $500 worth of work in 3 hours but he says he's $50 per hour won't answer your phone calls to him but the whole time he's on the job will answer his phone very rude

The door was installed as requested. Mr. Bertolet's billing practices are questionable.

I used them because of their good recommendations on Angie's List. The door looks pretty good from the outside but it does not close right. I haven't really addressed it with them. It would be nice if someone from their company followed up to see how things were going. There was a screen that they never did come back and put on.

Spoke with Danny and scheduled the installation for later in the week. He picked the door up for me from Menards and installed it with no problems. Great work, nice guy.

At first, Danny was very pleasant and worked long hours during the hot spell. When we questioned Danny about the quality of his work, he would argue that this was the nature of wood, and that he had used shims because that was the style of the railing support posts. He argued that the landing was square, and hinted that we were unreasonable. He kept saying that we should let him finish the work, and then we would be happy. We soon had no confidence in his work. We had already paid for the material, and when leaving, Danny gave us a bill for the labor. He told us that if we did not pay it in full, he would put a lien on our home. We paid him because our house is for sale, and we didn't want a lien causing problems. However, now we need to pay another carpenter to remove a lot of the work, and buy new material because of all the holes and improper cuts. We want to pay Danny for what he did OK, but our deck will now cost us a lot more because of all that needs to be done over.

He helped with the design. He provided a fixed estimate for labor and a variable estimate for materials. He provided actual receipts. He did his best to conserve to save money and brought the total in at less than the estimate. He also did high quality work and paid a great deal of attention to detail. He left the area clean.

It was a very big fence. He had to make some changes to conform with the property. He checked back with me frequently. He used some clever methods which would allow for portions of the fence to be removed if necessary to bring large objects through.
