Excellent
Corrected roof and rain run-off so it is directed to an open gutter area.
Painted the whole west side of the house including porch, soffits....heck everything. Far above what I expected.
Cleaned up everything. Offered excess siding which we accepted. Followed up a couple of days later.
Kept us in the "loop" on all details, were polite and courteous.
They do owe me a nickel for use of the "Sue" aka ladies bathroom.....joke
Hopefully with any luck it will be over soon.
There is definitely a lack of communication within this company and I would not recommend them to anyone!!!
The only negative experience was that the overall communication process with the Belfor representatives was frustrating at times. They appear to be a very busy company and had a lot of projects going on at the same time. Phone calls were not immediately returned and we were not contacted when promised on occasion. We were told that the flooring installation was scheduled to begin a specific day, so we had planned on being out of our house. After making these arrangements, we were returned home that evening to discover that nothing had been completed and that nobody had in fact been scheduled to work at our house that day due to a prior commitment on another job. While this was very frustrating and could have been avoided with a phone call from Belfor explaining the situation that morning, it was not the end of the world. They did return the next 3 days to complete the job.
However, we are very satisfied with the floor that was installed and we would probably use Belfor if something like this happens again.
A few days later someone came out and quoted out the work to repair the interior of my home. The total cost for this was quoted at $3,000. Keep in mind we're talking about maybe a 4x4 hole in my ceiling. This price seemed exorbitant to me, but I wasn't really worried about interior repairs while I still had water potentially causing more damage from my roof.
The company did not work with my insurance, and instead let them come out unaccompanied. Of course, the claim was denied.
I then proceeded for a couple of months to ask them to come determine the issue and quote out the work that needed done. Despite a multitude of calls, my requests were ignored. Finally, when I called the main office and inquired as to why I was being completely ignored, I got a call back. The gentleman I spoke to said he felt bad to charge me if the leak was from a pipe boot and offered to have his roofer just come out and do that for me directly for cash. I accepted, the roofer came out and did the job, and I paid him. The leak continued.
I then called Belfor back multiple times and got no response. I emailed the gentlelman at Belfor and he didn't respond. Finally, I gave up.
It's been several months now and I still have a hole in my ceiling and a leak in my roof.
They were very professional and honest through the whole process.
no hidden fees when they finished with the work and everything looked great.
I will definitely use them again.
The furniture restoration was great! Gal in charge kept me informed and invited me up for a look. Most of our wood furniture was antiques and they did a wonderful job cleaning .
Construction was a whole different ball ball game. Job foreman seemed to hire lower quality workers and pretty much left them unsupervised. New furnace duct work and registers were all wrong and at our insistence with help of our insurance agent were made to be corrected. Husband had to fight every step of way to make sure quality work and products were being used. At one point he even locked contractor out of house until our issues were addressed.
Two very important issues that we will be fixing ourselves is sump pump comes on and pumps out a plastic tube they ran thru the basement window attached to a 10' piece of PVC that stretches the patio to the drive way which was a serious safety hazard so we removed PVC tube so now the water floods the patio. Secondly is the lock handles are falling off of the doors as you go to open them.
We will most likely be calling them back during our warranty period as house still smells of smoke.
To make long story short Belfor seem to want to make the quickest cheapest repairs possible to move on to next aptwanted to
