Took them MONTHS to start after deposit was made, then when they did start it was excuses left and right on why their guys couldn’t show up. The project manager with a fat lazy dude who told a 8 month pregnant lady how he lost 35 lbs cutting sugar out of his diet, when the conversation was about how the workers were not showing up again? How is that even close to professional. Their workers were drinking beer out of our fridge. They got paid more than the work they completed. I have more proof of all the lies and shiesty work they’ve done, as well as the house cameras of their workers sitting around drinking beer while I wasn’t home . That’s what you’ll get when you choose this company. ??‍♀️

Belfor was my insurance company’s recommend provider. My insurance provided only partial coverage for this particular incident. Belfor worked directly with me to separately cost and then additionally complete the work that was not covered by insurance. I appreciate the fact that Belfor was able to promptly respond late Saturday night to make emergency roof repairs. The work was broken down and described in detail in the contracting documents. Repairs were made in a timely fashion and work quality was excellent. We were able to pick out the paint colors and new carpet from the Belfor showroom. Everything now looks better than ever.

Belfor sent their estimator/adjustor to prepare the required estimates for the insurer. We reviewed the estimate and recommended minor additions. The insurer approved the estimate. We then chose paints and flooring at Belfor's office. We waited a week for the crew to be available. The restoration team came in to start putting everything back as it was. About three weeks of drywall repair, baseboard had to be specially made, painting, flooring and doors rehung. Everything was promptly addressed if we had any comments. PLus work is warrantied for three years per the insurer.

Excellent

Corrected roof and rain run-off so it is directed to an open gutter area.

Painted the whole west side of the house including porch, soffits....heck everything.  Far above what I expected.

Cleaned up everything.  Offered excess siding which we accepted.  Followed up a couple of days later.

Kept us in the "loop" on all details, were polite and courteous.

They do owe me a nickel for use of the "Sue" aka ladies bathroom.....joke

They were prompt, helpful and pointed us in the next direction to address some underlying issues. The reason we chose not to use them for mold mitigation is that some experts suggest using separate companies for mold assessment and then mitigation. Also there were some negative reviews in Angies List. We are still in the process of working on the issue. Overall, we were pleased with the courtesy of knowledge of the company.

Belfor was one of the first on site after a house fire. They helped with securing the house and providing advice and options. Once insurance gave them the green light a crew was at our house the next day to access, inventory, process and start the remediation steps. If you have never experienced a house fire the restoration process is overwhelming.  The Belfor crew was very profession and understanding through the whole emotional event. We could not have made the journey towards a restored house without the help of Belfor.

Not well at all. It has been over a month and it is not complete yet. They did not cover or move any furniture in the living room, the workers did not wear booties and walked through the house with mud on thier shoes. My bedroom floor has to be replaced due to the employees damaging it during the process. The plaster and lathe ceiling in the living room has cracks and now they have to come back out to fix this issue.
Hopefully with any luck it will be over soon.
There is definitely a lack of communication within this company and I would not recommend them to anyone!!!

We had a furnace leak that ruined our first floor laminate floor. Belfor responded promptly to remove the floor and dry the affected areas with fans/dehumidifiers. Eventually, they installed a new floor. Overall, everything was completed correctly and the quality of the work was great. The whole process did take a few months.
The only negative experience was that the overall communication process with the Belfor representatives was frustrating at times. They appear to be a very busy company and had a lot of projects going on at the same time. Phone calls were not immediately returned and we were not contacted when promised on occasion. We were told that the flooring installation was scheduled to begin a specific day, so we had planned on being out of our house. After making these arrangements, we were returned home that evening to discover that nothing had been completed and that nobody had in fact been scheduled to work at our house that day due to a prior commitment on another job. While this was very frustrating and could have been avoided with a phone call from Belfor explaining the situation that morning, it was not the end of the world. They did return the next 3 days to complete the job.
However, we are very satisfied with the floor that was installed and we would probably use Belfor if something like this happens again.

They arrived that day, removed the water-damaged square of ceiling from my family room, put some plastic over the hole, cleaned up the mess, and left. It took the two employees around 40 minutes altogether. $700 for this was a bit steep, but they didn't come out until around 5:30PM if I remember correctly so perhaps some of the cost was related to being after hours.
A few days later someone came out and quoted out the work to repair the interior of my home. The total cost for this was quoted at $3,000. Keep in mind we're talking about maybe a 4x4 hole in my ceiling. This price seemed exorbitant to me, but I wasn't really worried about interior repairs while I still had water potentially causing more damage from my roof.
The company did not work with my insurance, and instead let them come out unaccompanied. Of course, the claim was denied.
I then proceeded for a couple of months to ask them to come determine the issue and quote out the work that needed done. Despite a multitude of calls, my requests were ignored. Finally, when I called the main office and inquired as to why I was being completely ignored, I got a call back. The gentleman I spoke to said he felt bad to charge me if the leak was from a pipe boot and offered to have his roofer just come out and do that for me directly for cash. I accepted, the roofer came out and did the job, and I paid him. The leak continued.
I then called Belfor back multiple times and got no response. I emailed the gentlelman at Belfor and he didn't respond. Finally, I gave up.
It's been several months now and I still have a hole in my ceiling and a leak in my roof.

They did a great job except for the carpet. We put the carpet in and they said they would clean the steps the last thing they would do. They sent out workers once all of the other work was done and the machine they used leaked all over the newly installed carpet. The carpet had a giant stain and they tried to remove it. They were very responsive to this and replaced the carpet again. Everything else turned out well.

no hidden fees when they finished with the work and everything looked great.

The insurance took care of the cost. They were helpful with getting everything cleaned up and thrown away. They came in a timely manner and did what they said they would do and they were here at the time they said they would be here. They continued till the next day and they were back in the morning like they said they would.

Belfor was recommended by our insurance agent so we thought why not go with them. I believe In our agents

The furniture restoration was great! Gal in charge kept me informed and invited me up for a look. Most of our wood furniture was antiques and they did a wonderful job cleaning .

Construction was a whole different ball ball game. Job foreman seemed to hire lower quality workers and pretty much left them unsupervised. New furnace duct work and registers were all wrong and at our insistence with help of our insurance agent were made to be corrected. Husband had to fight every step of way to make sure quality work and products were being used. At one point he even locked contractor out of house until our issues were addressed.

Two very important issues that we will be fixing ourselves is sump pump comes on and pumps out a plastic tube they ran thru the basement window attached to a 10' piece of PVC that stretches the patio to the drive way which was a serious safety hazard so we removed PVC tube so now the water floods the patio. Secondly is the lock handles are falling off of the doors as you go to open them.

We will most likely be calling them back during our warranty period as house still smells of smoke.

To make long story short Belfor seem to want to make the quickest cheapest repairs possible to move on to next aptwanted to

I called our Insurance Company and Belfor came out that evening. They entered my house with no shoe coverings and, after taking moisture readings in the affected areas, brought in their equipment. There was no attempt to cover carpet as they rolled the equipment across the carpet. The 2 workers, a young girl and a man, used various meters to read the moisture level in the walls, ceiling, carpet and floors. One or both of them had really strong body odor (no deodorant?) that first day. The man cut three holes in the kitchen ceiling and positioned fans to blow up into the ceiling. Another fan blew onto the floor and a large dehumidifier was also set up. No appliances were covered and later I realized that there was a thick layer of dirt from what had blown out of the ceiling which covered everything in the kitchen. Fans and a dehumidifier were also positioned upstairs in the bathroom and hall to dry out those areas. Joe, the Tech, returned the next two days to check the moisture levels and equipment. After 2 full days, the moisture level was down to an acceptable level and the equipment was removed. The two workers wiped up the floors before leaving. Joe was very patient as I was hesitant to sign the contract until I spoke with my Insurance agent. I did not have to give any money to BelFor as my insurance took care of this. I do not know what the final cost was.

I had an insurance casualty claim so it paid most of the expense of this project; all I paid was the deductible. They did a good job and I recommend them; everything was excellent.

The insurance company had 2 contractors I could work with and after checking Angies list website I went with Belfor contractors. They ordered a replacement door, patched the wall damaged during the break in and painted the hallway. The work was done in a timely manner and their workmen were very professional. Rocco, the person who helped me was easy to work with and very helpful.

The team showed up and went right to work on the water soaked areas. They were finished within 1.5 hours. They set up and left drying equpment for several days, checking back periodically on thedrying progress by taking moisure readings. It was a smooth operation during a stressful time. They were knowledgeable and helpful and worked with our insurance company well.

They re-did all of the insulation and the ceiling. They painted the entire garage and the garage looks better than it did before when we had bought the house. It is now warmer in my garage. Now, my office which is right next to the garage is just as warm as any other room in the house.
