BARTLETT PAINTING

Painters were selected by Steve Sears Building Company ( also not recommended ) as a subcontractor for an 80,000 dollar house remodel. We were told on several occasions we were  a small job and took a lower priority to their other jobs. Did not show up on some  days scheduled to other issues. Left early some days due to family activities that apparently took a higher priority.Worked many half days. Had me purchase extra paint when there was already paint on site they had misplaced so I spent 100 dollar more than needed. After stripping wallpaper from bathroom the drywall patch and repair was very poor quality. I am still finding errors in painting and drywall. I have called Mr Bartlett and emailed him more than ten times without any response. I also asked for a 500 dollar refund for the poor workmanship later found and again he has not had the professionalism to reply to any of my contacts. Wood doors for office were very badly clear seals with lots of large blobs and drips. IT was obvious the quality of work was not acceptable and should have been redone without asking.  Members of his painting crew were often on the cell phone while painting or other times during the day. They took much longer than needed as they were own the phone which slowed down their painting with the aint brush in one hand and a phone in the other. I would not recommend them for any drywall patch or repair after wallpaper removal. Different people and family members showed up on different days when people couldn?t be there.Poor quality of workmanship and when requested to follow-up with me after the job I received no call back or contact from Mr. Bartlett. Find another painting company.

They are very professional. They came and painted and they were clean. I don't think we had good communication about the type of paint I wanted because I'm not happy now about that. It could have been my fault. As far as I can say, they came and and did what they were going to do. I thought it was expensive for some of the things they did. The price included the paint, in part I think I should have been clearer about what I wanted. I've had some other quotes since then to redo some of it and they aren't quite as expensive.

It went great. Pretty much what you would want out of a painting job.

The work was not horrible, but it was not good, either. There were places where the adhesive and glue was still on the wall, not removed, and then painted over. None of the painting surfaces were primed. Some spots were pretty bad. Paint was found on towel fixtures, ceiling, mirrors, trim, and carpet. Homeowner spent 4 days removing paint on those areas. Painter made two additional trips to correct problem areas. Carpet cleaner had to be rescheduled to accommodate painter. Outdoor screen paint job was average; paint is already peeling from some spots.

Punctual, Efficient. Good Result.
