Service Provider ResponseThe legal name of our company is CMFD Corporation. CMFD Corporation incorporated on April 10, 2009, and we began doing business as ASG Automotive on June 1, 2009. The member has never been a customer of CMFD Corporation, DBA ASG Automotive. He has never purchased a car repair from CMFD Corporation, DBA ASG Automotive, nor had he purchased any car repair from ASG Automotive Corporation, the previous company working in our location from whom CMFD Corporation purchased business assets. On July 26th, 2007, ASG Automotive Corporation did repair his vehicle at the behest of Great Deal's Magazine. Great Deals Magazine and ASG Automotive Corporation had executed a barter agreement through which Great Deals employee vehicles were repaired at Great Deal's expense. The terms of this agreement included the provision that there was no warranty on the work performed. The terms were decided by Adam Goldstein, the President of ASG Automotive Corporation, and Steve Mougeotte of Great Deals Magazine. In November of 2007, the member reported having some issues with his vehicle, and ASG Automotive Corporation attempted to repair his vehicle to his satisfaction, despite the fact that there was no warranty on the work that was done. I do not have first hand information, or any paper or electronic records of the other visits he claims to have made to ASG Automotive Corporation following the repair to his vehicle in November. Last summer, he contacted us, CMFD Corporation, DBA ASG Automotive, indicating that he was very unhappy with the repair that was performed on his vehicle nearly 3 years before by ASG Automotive Corporation. We informed him at that time that there was no waranty on the work that ASG Automotive Corporation performed for Great Deals Magazine on his vehicle, but he was insistent that we fix his car free of charge. In an effort to provide the member with the highest level of service, despite the fact that he has never been a customer of ASG Automotive Corporation, nor of CMFD Corporation, DBA ASG Automotive, Craig Douglas, the President of CMFD Corporation, DBA ASG Automotive, agreed to attempt to repair his vehicle with the understanding and recognition by him that there was no warranty associated with Mr. Douglas's attempted repair. The member agreed to those terms, and the attempted repair was performed by myself with him watching at his insistence (another activity which we generally do not allow, but made an exception to try to provide him with the most outstanding level of service possible). I am sorry to hear that our attempted repair did not hold up, and that he feels like he has been treated in a manner which he calls “horrific & classless.” We always try to treat people with respect and dignity, even if they do not do the same for us. Craig Douglas, myself, and the whole team at CMFD Corporation, DBA ASG Automotive make customer satisfaction our top priority. We understand that we would not be in business if we did not keep our customers happy. Sometimes, when we're able, we extend our dedication to excellent service to people who aren't even paying customers with the hope that they might consider us in the future for their automotive service needs. Unfortunately, reviewing the history ASG Automotive Corporation and CMFD Corporation DBA ASG Automotive has had with him, we are not able to meet his demands in this instance. We have already incurred significant losses in time and money trying to make him happy with almost no change in his demeanor or attitude towards us and our efforts. Up to this point, we have done everything he has asked of us, despite the fact that the work ASG Automotive Corporation performed on his vehicle had no warranty, and up to this point he has had nothing but negative things to say about us and to us. We believe that he would never have anything positive to say about ASG Automotive Corporation or CMFD Corporation, DBA ASG Automotive no matter the outcome of any further interactions between us. We wish the member the best of luck.
