Augusta put in a new clean out and replaced broken down sewer line from our house to the city sidewalk in 2017. Cannot say enough good things. They were prompt, efficient, and left our property looking great. Many times I have seen front yards absolutely dug up and muddy from the same type of work. Augusta leveled out where they had dug up, seeded AND put down straw and netting to keep to protect the patches. And best of all, their pricing was one of the lower quotes we got! They don't overcharge and do a fantastic job.

Steve and Joel did a fabulous job! Took care of my problem in the matter of one day, and you could barely tell that they were on my property when they were done.

I am more than pleased with the work performed by Augusta Underground. Their price for a sewer cleanout install (requiring small-scale excavation) was on par with the other companies I contacted (actually a bit less), but what impressed me was how thorough Steve was in providing detailed information about what would be required. He was the only one who assured me they could put the cleanout where we wanted it (hidden in mulch bed) as opposed to whatever was most convenient for the crew (in the case of the other companies). Even further, when the work was complete, I was shocked that not only did they perfectly level the earth around the excavation, but they even put back all the mulch and edging--I just assumed I'd be doing this cleanup after they were done. When they left, you could barely tell they'd even been there. Fantastic work, and I would highly recommend them! Reliable, knowledgeable, fair, honest company, small and locally owned. A+

I was absent when the work was done, so I only got to see the end results. The end result looks perfect on the surface and the pipes drain. The clean up was amazing. The only way I can tell my yard was worked on is because trees are messing. Absolutely no debris left behind and beautiful grading of the surface.

Steve and his team were prompt, professional and efficient. In addition, while assessing other work that could improve drainage in my yard, he informed me what was essential, what could wait, and what issues could more effectively be handled by other contractors. I would use them again for both consultation and work.

Great! The workers arrived on time & worked all day. They trenched, added junction boxes & new tile underground. Did a good job of Grading & clean up. Very satisfied.

The Augusta crew arrived on time, and was very pleasant to work with. They removed 2 tree stumps and re-graded a large section of my yard. They also replanted grass and laid straw/netting over the new seeds.

We had a pool that had a lot of issues and needed it filled in. Steve and guys at Augusta Underground were great! They were very professional and helped me to understand how it would work. They were prompt and worked hard and got the job done in 3 days. Now we can't wait to use our new backyard.

Steve Lowry came out to look at our problem and give us an estimate for repair. He quickly diagnosed where the clog was and what was causing it. He then spent an hour extra time digging up and removing a tree root that was the culprit. A few days later his crew came out and dug up the broken pipe joint and replaced the connections. The excavated areas were nicely graded to be hardly noticeable at all. Total time for the job was about two hours.

Excellent!! I could not have been more pleased. Joel located every drain (downspout and french drain). He put a camera through the french drain and determined where it was blocked. He was very personable, professional and genuinely seemed to be interested in doing the best job he could for us. He did not rush through the work, but he did not slouch either. He was very knowledgeable and a hard worker. I would hire him again in a heartbeat. He told me he had worked for Augusta for 10 yrs. I give him a 15 on a 10 point scale. Also, Heather who took my initial call was easy to work with. She worked to get me scheduled sooner than my original appt I have used AU twice, and have been extremely satisfied each time.

Overall great experience in working with Augusta Undergound. Needed to correct sump pump from discharging to the sanitary sewer. We have a number of tree roots in the backyard, plus other landscaping which presented challenges for the new connection. Augusta offered the most reliable plumbing solution and was the least disruptive to the backyard landscape. They core drilled and installed a pcv line from the sump pump to the storm drain. They were far enough underground so that the line will not freeze, and when they were finished you couldn't even tell that they core drilled in 2 sections of the yard. They were very patient, professional, and we were so impressed with their precision and respect for our property and existing landscape. They were very competitive from a cost standpoint, and offered the best solution to avoid freezing problems down the road.

From beginning to the end of the project, Steve Lowery and his crew were excellent in every way. He knows his business, is very professional, easy to work with. We really appreciate what he did for us and how he did it.

I would like to thank Augusta Underground Inc owner Steve, and Joel for doing an excellent job solving my gutter drainage problem. They responded quickly, and tried first to see if cleaning out the downspout would solve the problem. Next, they investigated further with camera technology. Then, Steve identified the minimum required work to fix the root cause of the problem. Namely, a new PVC pipe was added to replace the old clay pipe connecting a rear to front of house downspout, and having connection to the primary clay drainage lines in the front yard. Joel did the excavating on a future date and was so thorough; he worked with a high level of quality -- very professional, experienced, and informative. Thank you Augusta Underground for such a great job solving my serious drainage problem.

I really appreciated Joel and his communication. Also appreciated mr Lowery. I figured somehow he would be sitting in an office and he was working hard in the “dozer.” You were more expensive than others but I felt you were reliable. I’ve had two instances of Sewer failures less than 4 years after installation. So far , I am very pleased.

Excellent. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to have underground work done. Steve and his team were wonderful. I was without a working sewer line (tree roots in a clay exterior sewer pipe) and they were quick to assess the situation, schedule, and complete the task. They took care of the entire process (including calling 811, obtaining permits) and even placed grass seed over the excavated area. They were methodical and smart in the implementation in order to keep the project moving and were very careful about all of the property/landscape. Great communication and great company to work with.

Everything went great. The owner was on site with workers. They were quick, kept us abreast of what was happening. Excellent communication from the owner as well as the office manager. This was a big job in my eyes because they had to travel a long distance diagonally under the yard. They did underground boring, went under the house and jackhammered through our slab in our laundry room. The work completed was top notch and best of all, their clean up was superb. This last part is a big deal because we've had work like this done before and not all contractors give any care to the way the lawn is left. They filled will and seeded the lawn. Where they worked on the inside, there was no mess, dust, etc. It was as if they were never there. This work was completed about 2 weeks ago and you can't even tell they were ever here. Very happy with Augusta Underground and while I don't know if I'll need their services again, I would use again in a second and recommend to anyone in need.

Augusta Underground did a first class job installing a water hydrant at our community garden. There was no current water service on the property and they needed to connect to an old service line at the sidewalk. With minimum disruption to the property they dug a trench, located the old line, installed a meter and line to the hydrant, filled in the trench and tamped down and seeded the dirt. All this on one very hot afternoon! The bill was the same as the estimate and half what another contractor had estimated. Our gardeners are the happy recipients of a job well done!

I had been dealing with sewer line problems for more than 22 years, including tree roots and blockages at a low point in the line caused by sinking sewer tiles. When Joel from Augusta Underground came out to diagnose my problem in January (and he spent more time doing this than any other company I have used), he told me that the sewer line also did not have a proper downward pitch, a problem that other neighbors apparently have in their lines. This company offered a creative solution that addressed all the problems. The line is raised above basement floor level and runs through the crawl space and out under the foundation. I was really impressed with the professionalism of Steve and his crew and the plumbers from Parsley Plumbing, who work with him. They worked very efficiently and methodically over the three days that it took to do the work. Steve informed me every day about the work that they would be doing, and it was obvious that he was always on top of things, even while he was operating the backhoe or directing another part of the job. He and his crew were meticulous and careful about my yard and house. See photos of the very neat 18-inch trench that was dug through my yard and garden, under garden edging, and right next to the brick and concrete foundation. It was impressive, and my neighbors even commented on how careful he was. I would definitely use this company again.

We had Augusta Underground out to look at an ongoing flooding/drainage issue on our property. Steve and Joel arrived 10 minutes early to the scheduled estimate, found the causes of our flooding issue and recommended regrading, along with extending our downspouts, adding a drain box and digging swales on either side of our lot to route the water down to the street. Their quote was reasonable considering the scope of the work. We also had them remove several stumps, a small dying tree, a broken concrete slab from an old 1-car garage that had been torn down long ago, and a broken concrete walkway. When they were on our property they were professional, respectful of our neighbors, and hard working. They completed the project in two long days, and we were very impressed by the work ethic. Even after they wrapped up and were showing us the finished project, Steve couldn't help but bend down to pick up a stray rock or two, like he was still in clean up mode. They meticulously removed old weed stumps from the chain link fence around the property (our next project is a privacy fence!). They put down grass seed on the swales for us, covered them over with hay, and watered without being asked. Steve said it would help get everything settled and working properly faster. We feel they went above and beyond for us and we couldn't be happier with the result. If you are reaching out to them during their busy season, be prepared for response times on emails/calls to be a little on the slower end. We found it took a couple of days to get a response from them at times, but ultimately we understood they are in high demand and very busy. And for good reason! They are worth the wait. This is the crew you want to hire.

Augusta Underground did a fantastic job and the guys working on the job (Steve, Joel, and another whose name I didn't catch) went above-and-beyond to provide outstanding service! I'm happy to share some of the things they did they were outstanding: * Starting with lining up the job, their front office person, Heather, asked who else had bid on the job, and up-front told us that she wasn't sure they could give a lower quote as they knew that the other bidder was a quality contractor as well. So right away, their honesty was very comforting. * They were able to schedule the work and perform the job within just a few days, and it was a non-emergency job, so their responsiveness in getting things set up on their side was excellent. * They were able to install the clean-out closer to the backside of our house than the other bidder was going to do. * They were able to get their excavator up a steep short hill and excavate between a 10-foot stretch of land between my house and my neighbor's house (Steve is amazing!). The other bidder said he couldn't get up the hill for fear his equipment would tip over. * Our town hall had concerns about the existing sewer line and was initially not willing to issue the permit, but Heather worked really diligently with the permit office and even went down there in-person to work things out and get the permit in time to prevent unnecessary delays. * The guys were very conscientious about minimizing damage to both lawn and landscaping. They manually dug out some plants that were in the way and replanted them after they were finished. They also put down plywood to protect some areas of the yard before the excavator went across them. After the installation was done, they spread the excess top soil around evenly to make the area look nice and checked the slope to ensure that rainwater would drain adequately downhill towards the street. * They had to cut through two 4" lines of corrugated plastic (an underground gutter line and a French drain) to get the necessary access. They used their camera probe to examine the whole length of both lines and even showed me a spot where pine needles had plugged one of my downspouts. Joel cleaned it out for me as a courtesy. He also located where the underground gutter and French drain lines ran so that we could have that knowledge if we ever needed to do digging around our house in the future. * The guys on the crew were all very polite and courteous. They always knocked before coming in the house, consulted with us when needed, answered our questions, offered helpful advice, and got the job done on-time. They even worked without taking a lunch break! When I realized that, I went and got a late lunch for them as a small thank you for their hard work. I would definitely hire Augusta Underground again, and they will be the first ones I reach out to if I ever need underground work done in the future.
