Audio Electronics was founded in 1973 by Robert L. Nevitt. Robert always had a passion for music, both singing and playing. He enjoyed building stereo speaker systems for himself. In high school he took several courses in Electronics. He worked at the RCA Corporation directly out of high school. Further education led to his degree in Electronics Engineering Technology. After graduation, he worked for a premier Aerospace electronics manufacturer where reliability was the keyword in all their manufactured products for military and commercial aircraft. In 1972 Robert moved back to his home town of Indianapolis. He began there by working for a privately owned stereo repair shop, and in 1973 started his own business… Audio Electronics! He took what he had learned in the Aerospace Industry and applied this to the repair and installation of automobile electronics equipment. It was pretty smooth. I went there because I wanted my car to look professionally done. I have had a friend wire everything in a prior car and it should short out while I was on the highway etc. Somehow the ground wasn't done right or something to that effect and it killed the engine frequently. It also drained my battery for some reason. That's why I had them do it. I don't have time to worry about that sort of stuff. I just want my car to be my home away from home, and i'll pay the premium for it. I paid 400 bucks for the wiring harness, the adapter for the car wiring that connects to the harness, the kit to make it look nice, and then the wires needed to run. This was all on top of the install that took about 3 hours. I also didn't want to have to wait for a week to get installed. This guy got it done on my time.
When I dropped it off I was going to take an uber back to work until I picked it up. He insisted driving me back to work. - I got a ride.
When I picked up it was smooth and everything was done right! I will use them again for my next stereo install.

"My name is Bob Nevitt and I am the owner of Audio Electronics. I would first like to thank [Member Name Removed] for taking the time to review us. Although mistakes can be made, we appreciate consumers taking the time to review us so that we know what we are doing right and what we need to be doing to improve. Saturday repairs and replacements have been done on a regular basis for head units, speakers and such, but for alarm and remote start problems it is dependent upon if our one full time alarm/remote start troubleshooter technician is scheduled. He has every other Saturday off. You may have requested the Saturday he was unavailable. It is true that Saturday factory technical support is very limited or even unavailable. Many of our customers know we have gone beyond the norm to help them by servicing them after hours, or even going to them on site when needed. Our salesmen work hard to promote quality service and professionalism. Had [Member Name Removed] called for a manager or supervisor the salesman in question would have been identified and later counseled. Our normal response is to be helpful and we do not press the Uber issue. Why would [Member Name Removed] have Uber bring him here when we needed his car here? I myself have driven customers to their homes or places of work in order to facilitate them. Glad you got the unit fixed. For anyone taking the time to read this, please realize that we strive to offer the best possible customer service and installation that is available."
On March 30th, I stopped by Audio Electronics to see what they might have for adding a little low end to a new Honda Civic LX Coupe. The factory radio was fairly nice (much better than in our '03 Honda Civic) but it needed a little help in the low end department. After looking for few seconds at the new stuff that I had not shopped for in years, Shaun came up and asked if he could answer any questions. I told him that I wanted a sub mounted in the trunk, but did not want to compromise the entire compartment. I am nearly 60 years old do not need to rattle the screws loose on a new vehicle. He understood what I was looking for and showed me a small enclosure that contained two JL 6-1/2" subs. Perfect! He took it out and hooked it into a vehicle that was already wired for a sub, and we auditioned the small enclosure with a little "Pink Floyd". Perfect again! We listened to the enclosure inside and outside the vehicle, as I do not want stuff rattling when I pull up to a stoplight. We went back inside and he typed up a quote for an amp install and trunk-mounted enclosure. I was scheduled for the next Saturday (4/4).
When I arrived Saturday, I asked Shaun if I could speak with the installer, as I had some questions and concerns about routing wires through a new vehicle. Shaun took me back to the install bay and introduced me to Bryce, who would be doing the work. Bryce explained what he was going to do, and he (Bryce) put me at ease about partially disassembly the dash to tap into the front speaker leads for line-outs to the amp. I apologize if I left anyone's name out of this review, as I was sitting in the front of the store while the work was performed.
When the work was nearly completed, Shaun took me back for a quick inspection. I was amazed at the clean install under the hood as well as in the trunk. I could not tell that the dash had ever been touched! The trunk mounted amp was connected to the enclosure with some extra wire in case I wanted to move the enclosure around, and all the amp parameters were set exactly as I would have set them myself.
I am extremely happy with the work performed by Audio Electronics, and I will recommend them to anyone that wants to add a little "oomph" to their factory radio.

I e-mailed Audio Outfitters and Seth e-mailed me back right away and asked me to come in for a quote and to see what was available. I was a little upset at first, I admit, but as soon as I came in i was immediately impressed-Seth recognized my name and remembered what kind of car I had. He showed me the different types of remote start systems and based on my car, showed me what would be appropriate for my car.
I appreciated his attention to detail.
We were able to schedule a time 3 days from the initial consultation. I came in that morning, dropped off the car, and 6 hours later came back to a working remote start! I was beyond thrilled!
They took the time to go over everything with me and make sure I understood how it worked. I couldn't be more pleased with the experience.
This company did just as promised. They installed the radio I selected a really nice double din Alpine CD Receiver with Advanced Bluetooth® Wireless Technology. They did the entire installation in about 10 minutes. It was so fast I waited for about 2 months to write this review just in case I had problems later. But not to worry. I have not had a single problem with my radio or installation.
The guys there were friendly and knowledgeable. I would not hesitate to use them again. Mike and Eric are awesome.
