My husband decided on a Sunday that he wanted to propose to me on a trip we were taking on the following Friday. Everyone there was so helpful and they even promised they would have the ring sized, set and completely ready by Thursday! Four days! They were able to get everything done in four days! Our wedding bands were also custom made to match the pattern on my engagement ring. They told me I could come in any time to get my rings polished at no cost. It was always fun to get my rings back and realize how dirty they really were and have them back to their original sparkle! I went back in there about a month ago to have my 10 year old band fixed and it was done in less than a week without charge. They've also fixed a bracelet of mine that wasn't even purchased there.

It all started when I lost my diamond on the escalator in the Newark Airport on the evening of my 33rd wedding anniversary. After serious tears, we had a talk.... Since my husband and I have become empty nesters, it seemed a good time to celebrate the fact that we would and quot;pick each other again.and quot; So we looked for a replacement diamond ring but were not impressed with the ready to purchase selections. I have a unique wedding band that looks like a flat braid (a three fold cord). It was hard to find something to harmonize with it. When we visited with Mark Aronstam, we felt a that he provided a good blend of curiosity and confidence. He assured us that he would not cast the ring until we were absolutely pleased with it. He talked with me about what I wanted and looked at some images I had printed from the web. Then he and his partners went to work.
A terrific staff member as well as the gemologist helped us to pick a reasonably priced yet very sparkly diamond.
I saw the wax carving and was smitten with the way it embodied so many important features.
And then, the ring itself.... well... it's been a few months and I am still thrilled each time I look at it.
I cannot praise Mark and his team enough.

Trying to save money by buying my daughter a used softball mitt ended up
costing our family a lot of money but also created the opportunity for
my husband to give me a wonderful, priceless surprise: a new wedding
ring.
Follow me back in time to about 2000 -- when my daughter wanted to play
softball and I went to the secondhand sports store, trying on all kinds
of mitts and recalling my own softball glory days. Somehow, at some
point, my beautiful diamond solitaire engagement came off in one of the
mitts -- or that's the best guess I have about why my ring was
discovered missing after I left the shop. I returned in a panic, shaking
out every single mitt in the store. I left info about how to contact me
with the store, but alas, never saw that beautiful ring again. (My
husband and I had picked out the diamond when we were engaged in 1988.)
So, for several years, I wore a simple gold band, and mourned the loss
of my beautiful engagement ring. Every now and then, as we passed a
jewelry store, I'd look at the rings, pondering about how and quot;someday --
maybe for our 25th anniversaryand quot; -- we could get a new ring to replace
the lost one. One that would have a large diamond in the center and two
small ones beside it, one for each of child.
Most jewelry store offerings didn't appeal to me. And in 2004, without
my knowledge, my husband arranged for Aronstam Fine Jewelers to design a
custom ring. On 4/15/2004, our 15th wedding anniversary, my husband
gave me a wonderful surprise in giving me this beautiful ring.
Tip: have special jewelry insured. We now have a rider for this ring. Though I must admit, it's irreplaceable in my opinion!

They did the appraisal was pretty quick. We thought it was a fair appraisal and the results came out as we expected. I would go to them again in the future in needed.

I am very impressed with the quality of the pieces that were designed. Two necklaces and some earrings were designed based on some jewelry that was inherited. The updating and the designs are outstanding. I would definitely recommend working with Mark Aronstam and will do so again in the future.

CALLED CATHERINE BECAUSE SHE WAS LISTED ON THE WEBSITE OF CERTIFIED GEMOLOGIST APPRAISERS. INQUIRED ABOUT AN INSURANCE APPRAISAL FOR A NEWLY PURCHASED RING (FROM AN OUT OF STATE JEWELER). CATHERINE WAS GREAT TO DEAL WITH. VERY PROFESSIONAL AND TOOK TIME TO EXPLAIN THINGS TO ME, AS I HAD NOT DONE THIS BEFORE. SUGGESTED THAT I BRING OTHER ITEMS IF I WANTED BECAUSE THE $75 COVERS ONE HOUR OF TIME AND ONE RING WOULD NOT TAKE THAT LONG. WAS VERY HAPPY TO FIND THAT HER APPRAISAL SLIGHTLY EXCEEDED THE RETAIL AMOUNT THAT I HAD PAID FOR THE RING ON THE WEST COAST.

THE COST OF THE RING REPAIR WAS $175. I DONT KNOW HOW THAT COMPARES WITH OTHER COMPANIES BUT THE WORK THEY DID WAS EXCELLENT. THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND HELPFUL. THEY HAVE BEAUTIFUL JEWELRY AND I HAVE PURCHASED A FEW THINGS THERE. I HAVE A LOT OF CONFIDENCE IN THIS JEWELRY STORE. I WAS PLEASED THAT THEY COULD REPAIR MY COSTUME JEWELRY AT A COST OF $25. IT WAS WORTH IT TO ME BECAUSE I LOVE THE EARRINGS.

THE STAFF RECOGNIZES US AND GREETS US BY NAME WHENEVER WE COME INTO THE STORE. THEIR SERVICE AND QUALITY HAS BEEN UNMATCHED BY ANY OTHER JEWELER WE HAVE VISITED, AND WE HAVE RECOMMENDED THEM TO SEVERAL OF OUR FRIENDS. IF THEY DO NOT HAVE A DESIRED ITEM IN STOCK, THEY HAVE BEEN MORE THAN HAPPY TO EITHER ORDER IT FOR US OR TO CUSTOM CRAFT IT.
